وَ قالَ قَرِينُهُ هذا ما لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ

و قال قرينه هذا ما لديّ عتيد

Waqala qareenuhu hatha ma ladayya AAateedun

موکل او گويد : اين است آنچه من آماده کرده ام

و همنشين او گويد اين همان است كه نزد من آماده است.

و همراه او ميگويد: اين (نامه اعمال تو) است كه نزد من (براى چنين روزى) محفوظ بود.

و [فرشته] همراهش می گوید: این است نامه اعمالش که همراه من آماده است.

و گويد همنشين او اين است آنچه (دفتر اعمال او) كه نزد من حاضر است

و [فرشته‏] همنشين او مى‏گويد: «اين است آنچه پيش من آماده است [و ثبت كرده‏ام‏].»

قرين او بگويد: «اين عمل توست نزد من كه آماده‏اش كرده‏ام.

و همنشين او، گويد: اين است آنچه [از ديوان عمل‏] تو نزد من نهاده است.

و گفت قرينش اينست آنچه نزد من آماده است

و همراهش گويد: اين است آنچه در نزد من آماده بود

فرشته همنشین او می‌گوید: «این نامه اعمال اوست که نزد من حاضر و آماده است!»

و همنشين او- فرشته نگهبان او- گويد: اين است آنچه نزد من آماده است- نامه اعمال-.

و گفت قرينش اينست آنچه نزد من آماده است

و گفت همنشين اين است آنچه نزد من است آماده

و قرین وی (یعنی فرشته موکّل و شاهد او بدو) گوید: این همان اعمالی است که نزد من (برای امروز تو) محفوظ و مهیّاست.

همزاد گفت: اين است گواهي محكم من.

And his companion said: «That what (is) at me (is) prepared/made ready.»

And his companion (angel) will say: «Here is (this Record) ready with me!»

And his comrade shall say, ‹This is what I have, made ready.›

And one part of him will say: [Lit., «his intimate companion» (qarinuhu). The term qarin denotes something that is «connected», «linked» or «intimately associated» with another thing (cf. 41:25 and 43:36, where qarin is rendered as «[one’s] other self»). In the present instance – read together with verse 21 – the term apparently denotes «one part» of man, namely, his awakened moral consciousness.] «This it is that has been ever-present with me!» [I.e., the sinner’s reason will plead that he had always been more or less conscious, and perhaps even critical, of the urges and appetites that drove him into evildoing: but, as is shown in the sequence, this belated and, therefore, morally ineffective rational cognition does not diminish but, rather, enhances the burden of man’s guilt.]

En zijne makkers zullen zeggen: Dit is wat gereed is, verklaard te worden.

And his constant companion said: "Here is one who is a transgressor."

E dirà il suo compagno: «Ecco quello che ho pronto».

And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!"

Его товарищ (ангел) скажет: «Вот то, что подготовлено у меня».

А ангел-сопутник [человека] скажет: «Вот то, что было мною записано».

And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me.

And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).

And his mate shall say, ‹This is what is ready for me (to attest).

Yoldaşı şöyle der: «İşte yanımdaki, hazır!»

And his companion will say: ‹This is that which I have present. ‹

And his other part (the imprints) will say, «Here is the record ready with me.»

The companion said, «Here is my formidable testimony.»

And he who is at this side shall say, «This is what I am prepared with against thee.»

And his companion shall say, this is what is ready with me to be attested.

And his companion will say, `This is what I have ready of his record.›

Und sein Gefährte wird sprechen: «Hier, was ich (von dem Verzeichnis) bereit habe.»

И здесь собрат твой скажет: ■ «Здесь у меня готов отчет того, ■ Что он свершил».

Дөньядагы сакчы фәрештәсе: «менә мин аңа сакчы булган кеше, кылган эшләре белән килде» – дияр.

اور اس کا ہم نشین (فرشتہ) کہے گا کہ یہ (اعمال نامہ) میرے پاس حاضر ہے

اور اس کے ساتھ رہنے والا (فرشتہ) کہے گا: یہ ہے جو کچھ میرے پاس تیار ہے،
