كانُوا لا يَتَناهَوْنَ عَنْ مُنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ لَبِئْسَ ما كانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ

كانوا لا يتناهون عن منكر فعلوه لبئس ما كانوا يفعلون

Kanoo la yatanahawna AAan munkarin faAAaloohu labi/sa ma kanoo yafAAaloona

از کار زشتي که مي کردند باز نمي ايستادند و هر آينه بدکاري مي کردند،

[آنان] يكديگر را از كار ناپسندى كه مى كردند، باز نمى داشتند; بس بد است كار و كردارشان.

آنان از اعمال زشتى كه انجام مى‏دادند، همديگر را نهى و سرزنش نمى‏كردند. چه بد اعمالى كه مرتكب مى‏شدند.

آنان یکدیگر را ازکارهای زشتی که مرتکب می شدند بازنمی داشتند. مسلماً بد بود آنچه را انجام می دادند.

مردمى بودند كه نهى نمى‏كردند يكديگر را از كردار زشتى كه مى‏كردند آن را بخدا سوگند بدكارى است آنچه ايشان مى‏كنند

[و] از كار زشتى كه آن را مرتكب مى‏شدند، يكديگر را بازنمى‏داشتند. راستى، چه بد بود آنچه مى‏كردند.

آنها از كار زشت خود دست برنمى‏داشتند و چه كار زشتى انجام مى‏دادند.

همديگر را از انجام كارهاى زشتى كه مى‏كردند، باز نمى‏داشتند، براستى بد بود آنچه مى‏كردند.

بودند كه باز نمى‏ايستادند از منكرى كه ميكردند آنرا هر آينه بد بود آنچه بودند ميكردند

همديگر را از آن كار زشتى كه مرتكبش شدند، باز نمى‏داشتند، قطعا بد كارى بود كه مى‏كردند

آنها از اعمال زشتی که انجام می‌دادند، یکدیگر را نهی نمی‌کردند؛ چه بدکاری انجام می‌دادند!

يكديگر را از كار ناروا و زشتى كه مى‏كردند باز نمى‏داشتند هر آينه بد است آنچه مى‏كردند.

بودند كه باز نمى‏ايستادند از منكرى كه ميكردند آنرا هر آينه بد بود آنچه بودند ميكردند

بودند دست برنمى داشتند از زشتى كه مى كردند چه زشت است آنچه بودند مى كردند

آنها هیچ گاه یکدیگر را از کار زشت خود نهی نمی‌کردند، و آنچه می‌کردند بسی قبیح و ناشایسته بود.

آنها يکديگر را از کار پليد و ناروا نهي نمي کردند. مسلماً، آنچه انجام دادند، باعث بدبختي است .

They were not forbidding/preventing each other from awfulness/obscenity they made/did it; how bad (is) what they were making/doing?

They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do.

They forbade not one another any dishonour that they committed; surely evil were the things they did.

They would not prevent one another from doing whatever hateful things they did: vile indeed was what they were wont to do!

Zij verboden elkander de zonden niet die zij bedreven, en wee hun om hetgeen zij hebben bedreven.

They would not stop each other from doing sin. Wickedness is what they used to do.

e non si vietavano l’un l’altro quello che era nocivo. Quant’era esecrabile quello che facevano!

Они не удерживали друг друга от предосудительных поступков, которые они совершали. Как же скверно было то, что они делали!

Они не удерживали друг друга от свершения порицаемых поступков. И как мерзки их деяния!

They used not to forbid each other the hateful things (which) they did; certainly evil was that which they did.

They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do!

they would not desist from the wrong they did; evil is that which they did.

İşledikleri kötülükten birbirlerini sakındırmıyorlardı. Ne kötü şeydi yapmayı sürdürdükleri!

They did not forbid one another from the wrongdoing they were committing. Evil is what they were doing.

They restrained not one another from violating the Divine Values. Miserable indeed was their behavior.

They did not enjoin one another from committing evil. Miserable indeed is what they did.

they forbade not one another the iniquity which they wrought! detestable are their actions!

They forbade not one another the wickedness which they committed; and wo unto them for what they committed.

Sie hinderten einander nicht an den Missetaten, die sie begingen. Übel fürwahr war das, was sie zu tun pflegten.

Что от дурного не могли сдержаться ■ И, сами совершая зло, ■ Другим его не запрещали. ■ Как мерзки были их деянья!

(اور) برے کاموں سے جو وہ کرتے تھے ایک دوسرے کو روکتے نہیں تھے بلاشبہ وہ برا کرتے تھے

(اور اس لعنت کا ایک سبب یہ بھی تھا کہ) وہ جو برا کام کرتے تھے ایک دوسرے کو اس سے منع نہیں کرتے تھے۔ بیشک وہ کام برے تھے جنہیں وہ انجام دیتے تھے،
