أَ فَلا يَرَوْنَ أَلاَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلاً وَ لا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَ لا نَفْعاً

أ فلا يرون ألاّ يرجع إليهم قولا و لا يملك لهم ضرّا و لا نفعا

Afala yarawna alla yarjiAAu ilayhim qawlan wala yamliku lahum darran wala nafAAan

آيا نمي ديدند که هيچ پاسخي به سخنشان نمي دهد ، و هيچ سود و زياني برايشان ندارد ؟

آيا اينان نينديشيدند كه [اين گوساله] پاسخ سخنى به آنان نمى دهد و زيان و سودى براى آنان ندارد؟

آيا (گوساله پرستان) متوجه نبودند كه گوساله جواب آنها را نميدهد؟ و سود و زيانى براى آنها ندارد؟

پس آیا درک نمی کنند [و نمی فهمند] که [گوساله، هنگامی که آن را می خوانند] پاسخی به آنان نمی دهد و مالک و صاحب اختیار هیچ سود و زیانی برای آنان نیست؟!

آيا نمى‏بينند گوساله پرستان آنكه باز نمى‏گرداند گوساله بسوى ايشان سخنى را و مالك نيست براى ايشان زيانى را و نه سودى را

مگر نمى‏بينند كه [گوساله‏] پاسخ سخن آنان را نمى‏دهد و به حالشان سود و زيانى ندارد؟

مگر نمى‏ديدند پاسخ آنها را نمى‏دهد و داراى هيچ گونه نفع و ضررى براى آنها نيست؟!

آيا [اين گوساله پرستان‏] نمى‏بينند كه [آن گوساله‏] در پاسخ ايشان سخنى نمى‏گويد و مالك زيان و سودى برايشان نيست؟

آيا پس نمى بينند كه برنميگرداند بسوى ايشان سخنى را و مالك نميباشد براى ايشان زيان و سودى را

آيا نمى‏ديدند كه پاسخى به آنان نمى‏دهد. و براى آنان اختيار هيچ زيان و سودى را ندارد؟

آیا نمی‌بینند که (این گوساله) هیچ پاسخی به آنان نمی‌دهد، و مالک هیچ گونه سود و زیانی برای آنها نیست؟!

آيا نمى‏ديدند كه [آن گوساله‏] سخنى به آنها باز نمى‏گرداند و آنان را هيچ زيان و سودى ندارد؟

آيا پس نمى‏بينند كه بر نمى‏گرداند بسوى ايشان سخنى را و مالك نمى‏باشد براى ايشان زيان و سودى را

آيا نبينند كه برنمى گرداند بديشان سخنى را و نه دارا است براى ايشان زيان و نه سودى را

آیا این گوساله‌پرستان نمی‌نگرند که آن گوساله هیچ حرف و اثری و هیچ خیر و شری به آنها عاید نمی‌سازد؟

آيا نمي توانستند ببينند که آن نه پاسخي به آنها مي داد و نه قادر بود به آنها سود يا زيان برساند؟

So do they not see/understand that it (does) not return to them a saying/words , and nor own/possess for them harm, and nor benefit/usefulness?

Did they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good?

What? Did they not see that thing returned no speech unto them, neither had any power to hurt or profit them?

Why-did they not see that [the thing] could not give them any response, and had no power to harm or to benefit them?

Zagen zij dus niet, dat hun afgod hun geen antwoord gaf en niet in staat was hen te benadeelen of voordeel te doen?

Did they not see that it did not respond to them, nor did it possess for them any harm or benefit?

Che? Non vedevano che quello non poteva rispondere e non poteva apportar loro né danno né giovamento?

Did they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good?

Неужели они не видели, что он не говорил им в ответ ни слова и не был способен навредить им или принести им пользу?

Неужели они не видели, что он (т. е. телец) не отвечает им речью и не в состоянии принести им ни вреда, ни пользы?

What! could they not see that it did not return to them a reply, and (that) it did not control any harm or benefit for them?

See they not, then, that it returneth no saying unto them and possesseth for them neither hurt nor use?

What! do they not see that it does not return them any speech, and cannot control for them harm or profit?

Görmüyorlar mı ki; o buzağı onlara bir sözü geri çeviremiyor; kendilerine bir zarar veremiyor, bir yarar sağlayamıyor.

What! Did they not see that it did not speak a word to them in return, and for them it could own neither harm nor benefit?

They knew full well that, like all false deities, the golden calf could not respond to queries, and had no control over their harm or benefit.

Could they not see that it neither responded to them, nor possessed any power to harm them, or benefit them?

What! saw they not that it returned them no answer, and could neither hurt nor help them?

Did they not therefore see that their idol returned them no answer, and was not able to cause them either hurt or profit?

Could they not see that it returned to them no answer, and had no power to do them either harm or good ?

Konnten sie denn nicht sehen, daß es ihnen keine Antwort gab und nicht die Macht hatte, ihnen zu schaden oder zu nützen?

Разве не видели они, ■ Что он не может им ответить ни единым (словом), ■ Не может им ни навредить, ■ Ни пользы принести?

Аллаһ әйтә: «Әйә алар белмиләрме бу бозау, аларга һичнәрсә сөйләмәс, әгәр бозауның үзенә сөйләсәләр, җавап бирмәс, вә аларга файда китерергә дә, зарар китерергә дә кадир булмас.»

کیا یہ لوگ نہیں دیکھتے کہ وہ ان کی کسی بات کا جواب نہیں دیتا۔ اور نہ ان کے نقصان اور نفع کا کچھ اختیار رکھتا ہے

بھلا کیا وہ (اتنا بھی) نہیں دیکھتے تھے کہ وہ (بچھڑا) انہیں کسی بات کا جواب (بھی) نہیں دے سکتا اور نہ ان کے لئے کسی نقصان کا اختیار رکھتا ہے اور نہ نفع کا،
