فَأَعْرَضُوا فَأَرْسَلْنا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ وَ بَدَّلْناهُمْ بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَواتَيْ أُكُلٍ خَمْطٍ وَ أَثْلٍ وَ شَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ سِدْرٍ قَلِيلٍ

فأعرضوا فأرسلنا عليهم سيل العرم و بدّلناهم بجنّتيهم جنّتين ذواتي أكل خمط و أثل و شي‏ء من سدر قليل

FaaAAradoo faarsalna AAalayhim sayla alAAarimi wabaddalnahum bijannatayhim jannatayni thawatay okulin khamtin waathlin washay-in min sidrin qaleelin

اعراض کردند ما نيز سيل ويرانگر را بر آنها فرستاديم و دو بوستانشان را به دو بوستان بدل کرديم با ميوه اي تلخ و شوره گز و اندکي سدر

ولى رويگردان شدند، آنگاه بر آنان سيل بنيان كن را روانه كرديم، و به جاى آن دو بوستانشان دو بوستان داراى ميوه هاى ناگوار و درخت گز و اندكمايه اى از درخت سدر براى آنان جانشين كرديم.

و چون از فرمان حق روى برتافتند، سيل عظيم (ناشى از شكستن سد) براى هلاك آنان فرستاديم و باغاتشان را به باغاتى تبديل كرديم كه ميوه‏هاى تلخ و بد طعم و شوره گز و اندكى درخت سدر داشت.

ولی [آنان از سپاس گزاری در برابر نعمت، و از فرمان ها او و دعوت پیامبرشان] روی گرداندند، در نتیجه سیل [ویران گر] « عرم » را بر ضد آنان جاری کردیم [که دو باغ آباد راست و چپ منطقه را نابود کرد] ، و ما آن دو باغ پر حاصلشتان را به دو باغستانی تبدیل کردیم که دارای میوه هایی تلخ و درخت شوره گز و چیزی اندک از درخت سدر بودند!!

و ايشان (از پيغمبر خود) روى گرداندند پس فرستاديم برايشان سيل بيكران را و بدل داديم ايشان را بعوض دو بوستانشان دو باغ ديگر كه داراى ميوه بد طعم و درخت شورگز و چيزى از سدر كه اندك بود

پس روى گردانيدند، و بر آن سيل [سدّ] عَرِم را روانه كرديم، و دو باغستان آنها را به دو باغ كه ميوه‏هاى تلخ و شوره‏گز و نوعى از كُنار تنك داشت تبديل كرديم.

آنها روى گرداندند و ما نيز سيل ويرانگر را بر آنها فرستاديم و دو باغشان را به تلخستان شور گز و اندكى سدر مبدل ساختيم.

پس روى بگردانيدند و بر ايشان سيلى سخت فرستاديم، و باغهايشان را مبدّل كرديم به دو باغ با ميوه‏هايى پر خار و گز و چيزى اندك از سدر.

پس روى گردانيدند پس فرستاديم برايشان سيل باران سخت و بدل داديم ايشان را بدو باغشان دو باغ صاحبان ثمرى تلخ و شوره گز و چيزى از درخت سدر اندكى

كه روى گرداندند، پس سيلى ويرانگر را بر آنان فرستاديم و برايشان به جاى دو باغشان دو باغ [ديگر] با ميوه‏هاى بدمزه و [داراى‏] درخت گز و چيزى اندك از درخت كنار جايگزين كرديم

امّا آنها (از خدا) روی‌گردان شدند، و ما سیل ویرانگر را بر آنان فرستادیم، و دو باغ (پربرکت)شان را به دو باغ (بی‌ارزش) با میوه‌های تلخ و درختان شوره گز و اندکی درخت سدر مبدّل ساختیم!

ولى روى گردانيدند- از فرمان خدا يا از سپاسگزارى- پس سيل بسيار سخت بر آنان فرستاديم و دو بوستانشان را به دو بوستانى ديگر بدل كرديم با ميوه‏اى تلخ و شوره‏گز و اندكى از كُنار- سدر-.

پس روى گردانيدند پس فرستاديم بر ايشان سيل باران سخت و بدل داديم ايشان را بدو باغشان دو باغ صاحبان ثمرى تلخ و شوره گز و چيزى از درخت سدر اندكى

پس روى برتافتند پس فرستاديم بر ايشان سيل بيكران را و بديشان داديم جاى دو باغ ايشان دو باغ دارنده ميوه (يا خوراكى) «خمط» و «اثل» و چيزى از درخت سدر اندك

با وجود این باز (از شکر خدا و طاعت حق) اعراض کردند، ما هم سیلی سخت بر هلاک ایشان فرستادیم و به جای آن دو نوع باغ پر نعمت دو باغ دیگرشان دادیم که بار درختانش تلخ و ترش و بد طعم و شوره گز و اندکی درخت سدر بود.

آنها روي گرداندند و درنتيجه، ما سيل مصيبت باري بر آنها فرستاديم و دو باغشان را به دو باغ با ميوه هاي بدمزه، گياهان خاردار و محصولي بسيار كم مبدل كرديم.

So they opposed/objected so We sent on (to) them the dam’s/strong rain’s flowage/flood/torrent, and We exchanged/replaced them with their two treed gardens two treed gardens with of (B) sour and bitter/weak crop and inedible food/fruits, and a thing from little sedre/lote-tree.

But they turned away (from the obedience of Allah), so We sent against them Sail AlArim (flood released from the dam), and We converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter bad fruit, and tamarisks, and some few lotetrees.

But they turned away; so We loosed on them the Flood of Arim, and We gave them, in exchange for their two gardens, two gardens bearing bitter produce and tamarisk-bushes, and here and there a few lote-trees.

But they turned away [from Us], and so We let loose upon them a flood that overwhelmed the dams, [Lit., «the flooding of the dams» (sayl al-arim). The date of that catastrophe cannot be established with any certainty, but the most probable period of the first bursting of the Dam of Marib seems to have been the second century of the Christian era. The kingdom of Sheba was largely devastated, and this led to the migration of many southern (Qahtan) tribes towards the north of the Peninsula. Subsequently, it appears, the system of dams and dykes was to some extent repaired, but the country never regained its earlier prosperity; and a few decades before the advent of Islam the great dam collapsed completely and finally.] and changed their two [expanses of luxuriant] gardens into a couple of gardens yielding bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few [wild] lote-trees:

Maar zij wenden zich af van hetgeen wij hun hadden bevolen weshalve wij de overstrooming van de al Arem tegen hen zonden; en wij veranderden hunne twee tuinen voor hen, in twee tuinen die bittere vruchten voortbrachten, tamarissen en eenige kleine vruchten van den lotusboom.

But they turned away, so We sent them a polluted water, and We substituted their two gardens into two gardens of bad tasting fruits, thorny plants, and a skimpy harvest.

Si allontanarono [da Noi] e allora inviammo contro di loro lo straripamento delle dighe e trasformammo i loro due giardini in due giardini di frutti amari, tamarischi e qualche loto.

But they turned away (from the obedience of Allah), so We sent against them Sail AlArim (flood released from the dam), and We converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter bad fruit, and tamarisks, and some few lotetrees.

Но они отвернулись, и Мы наслали на них поток, прорвавший плотину, и заменили их два сада двумя садами с горькими плодами, тамариском и несколькими лотосами.

Но они ослушались, и Мы наказали их прорывом плотины и взамен двух [прежних] садов дали два [новых], с горькими плодами, тамариском да лотосами кое-где.

But they turned aside, so We sent upon them a torrent of which the rush could not be withstood, and in place of their two gardens We gave to them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote-trees.

But they were froward, so We sent on them the flood of ‹Iram, and in exchange for their two gardens gave them two gardens bearing bitter fruit, the tamarisk and here and there a lote-tree.

but they turned away, and we sent against them the flood of the dyke; and we changed for them their two gardens into two gardens that grew bitter fruit and tamarisk, and some few lote trees.

Ne var ki onlar yüz çevirdiler; biz de üzerlerine Arim selini gönderdik. Onların iki bahçesini, buruk yemişli, acı ılgınlı, birazcık da sedir ağacı bulunan iki bahçeye çevirdik.

But they turned away. So We sent against them the Flood (at the city) of Arim, and exchanged their gardens with two others bearing bitter fruit and Tamarisks, and here and there a few Lotus trees.

But they turned away from Divine Values and We sent on them the Flood of the ‹Arim› released from water dams. And We turned their Gardens into ‹gardens› producing wild bitter fruit, and a thorny Lote-tree here and a tree there.

They turned away and, consequently, we poured upon them a disastrous flood, and we substituted their two gardens into two gardens of bad tasting fruits, thorny plants, and a skimpy harvest.

But they turned aside: so we sent upon them the flood of Irem; and we changed them their gardens into two gardens of bitter fruit and tamarisk and some few jujube trees.

But they turned aside from what We had commanded them; wherefore We sent against them the inundation of al Arem, and We changed their two gardens for them into two gardens producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some little fruit of the lote-tree.

But they turned away; so WE sent against them a devastating flood. And WE gave them, in place of their two excellent gardens, two gardens bearing bitter fruit and containing tamarisk and a few lote-trees.

Jedoch sie kehrten sich ab; da sandten Wir gegen sie eine reißende Flut. Und Wir gaben ihnen, an Stelle ihrer Gärten, zwei Gärten mit bitterer Frucht und Tamarisken und wenigen Lotusbäumen.

Они же отвратились, и тогда ■ (Прорвали Мы) плотину их, ■ И против них потоп послали, ■ И заменили их сады двумя другими, ■ Дающими лишь горькие плоды, ■ И тамариск, и дикий низкорослый лотос.

Алар исә пәйгамбәрләренең вәгазьләреннән һәм шөкер итүдән баш тарттылар, Без алар өстенә каты яңгыр яудырдык, хәтта бакчаларын агызды, Без аларның җимеш бакчаларын аз гына ачы үлән һәм җимешсез агачлар бакчасына алмаштырдык, бакчаларында ашый торган һичнәрсә калмады.

تو انہوں نے (شکرگزاری سے) منہ پھیر لیا پس ہم نے ان پر زور کا سیلاب چھوڑ دیا اور انہیں ان کے باغوں کے بدلے دو ایسے باغ دیئے جن کے میوے بدمزہ تھے اور جن میں کچھ تو جھاؤ تھا اور تھوڑی سی بیریاں

پھر انہوں نے (طاعت سے) مُنہ پھیر لیا تو ہم نے ان پر زور دار سیلاب بھیج دیا اور ہم نے اُن کے دونوں باغوں کو دو (ایسے) باغوں سے بدل دیا جن میں بدمزہ پھل اور کچھ جھاؤ اور کچھ تھوڑے سے بیری کے درخت رہ گئے تھے،
