وَ لَوْ تَرى إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلا فَوْتَ وَ أُخِذُوا مِنْ مَكانٍ قَرِيبٍ

و لو ترى إذ فزعوا فلا فوت و أخذوا من مكان قريب

Walaw tara ith faziAAoo fala fawta waokhithoo min makanin qareebin

اگر ببيني ، آنگاه که سخت بترسند و رهاييشان نباشد و از مکاني نزديک گرفتارشان سازند ،

و چون بنگرى آنگاه كه هراسان شوند گريزى در كار نيست; و از جايى نزديك فروگرفته شوند.

و اگر مى‏ديدى هنگامى كه كافران سخت ترسان و هراسان ميشوند و (فرشتگان) نميگذارند آنها فرار كنند و از جاى نزديك دستگيرشان ميكنند.

و اگر ببینی [مشرکان] زمانی که [با ظهور قیامت] ترسان و وحشت زده می شوند [امر عجیبی می بینی] و [آن اینکه برای آنان] توانایی [گریز از عذاب] نیست، و از جایی نزدیک [که موقف قیامت است] بازداشت می شوند.

و اگر ببينى هنگامى كه كافران هراسان شوند پس هيچ گريزى نيست و دستگير شوند از مكانى نزديك

و اى كاش مى‏ديدى هنگامى را كه [كافران‏] وحشت‏زده‏اند [آنجا كه راهِ‏] گريزى نمانده است و از جايى نزديك گرفتار آمده‏اند.

اگر ببينى آن دم كه بترسند و رهايى‏شان ميسر نباشد و از مكان نزديكى گرفته شوند،

و اى كاش ببينى [ايشان را] آن گاه كه بترسند، [از قدرت خدا] بيرون نروند و از جايى نزديك گرفته شوند

و اگر بينى هنگاميكه بترسند پس نباشد فوتى و گرفته شوند از جائى نزديك

و [به شگفت آيى‏] اگر ببينى آن گاه كه مضطرب شوند. پس رهايى از عذاب [در ميان‏] نخواهد بود و از جانبى نزديك گرفتار شوند

اگر ببینی هنگامی که فریادشان بلند می‌شود امّا نمی‌توانند (از عذاب الهی) بگریزند، و آنها را از جای نزدیکی (که حتّی انتظارش را ندارند) می‌گیرند (از درماندگی آنها تعجّب خواهی کرد)!

و اگر [كافران را] ببينى آنگاه كه ترسان و هراسان شوند پس گريز و رهايى نباشد و آنان را از جايى نزديك [به عذاب‏] فرا گيرند.

و اگر بينى هنگامى كه بترسند پس نباشد فوتى و گرفته شوند از جائى نزديك

و كاش ميديدى گاهى را كه هراسان شوند پس نيست گريزى (دررفتنى) و دستگير شدند از جايگاهى نزديك

و اگر تو سختی حال مجرمان را مشاهده کنی هنگامی که ترسان و هراسانند، در آن حال هیچ (از عذاب و قهر الهی) فوت نشوند و از مکان نزدیکی دستگیر شوند.

اگر فقط مي توانستي آنها را هنگامي که به شدت وحشت زده مي شوند، ببيني؛ در آن هنگام نمي توانند بگريزند و آنان را به زور خواهند برد.

And if you see/understand when/if they were frightened/panic stricken , so (there is) no passing/missing (escape) , and they were taken/punished from a near/close place/position.

And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place.

Ah, if thou couldst see when they are terrified, and there is no escape, and they are seized from a place near at hand,

IF THOU couldst but see [how the deniers of the truth will fare on Resurrection Day,] when they will shrink in terror, with nowhere to escape – since they will have been seized from so close nearby [Lit., «from a place nearby» – i.e., from within their own selves: cf. 17:13 («every human being’s destiny have We tied to his neck») and the corresponding note. The same idea is expressed in 13:5 («it is they who carry the shackles [of their own making] around their necks»), as well as in the second part of verse 33 of the present surah («We shall have put shackles around the necks of those who had been bent on denying the truth»). Indien gij het kondt zien als de ongeloovigen zullen beven, en geene schuilplaats vinden en van eene nabijgelegen plaats zullen worden weggenomen.

And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape, and they will be taken from a place that is near.

Se li vedessi quando saranno atterriti, senza nessun via d’uscita e afferrati da presso!

And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place.

Если бы ты видел, как они будут напуганы. Они не смогут сбежать и будут схвачены поблизости.

Если бы ты видел, как они будут устрашены [в Судный день]!Тогда они не смогут [спастись] бегством и будут схвачены неподалеку.

And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place

Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand,

And couldst thou see when they are scared, and there shall be no escape, and they shall be taken from a place that is nigh.

Bir görsen onları korku ve telaşa düştüklerinde! Artık kaçış-kurtuluş yok! Çok yakın bir yerden yakalanmışlardır.

If you could only see when they (the unbelievers) are seized with terror, and there is no escape. They shall be seized from a nearby place,

If you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape and seized at a place nearby.

If you could only see them when the great terror strikes them; they cannot escape then, and they will be taken away forcibly.

Couldst thou see how they shall tremble and find no escape, and be taken forth from the place that is so near;

If thou couldst see, when the unbelievers shall tremble, and shall find no refuge, and shall be taken from a near place,

Couldst thou but see when they will be smitten with fear ? Then there will be no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby.

Könntest du nur sehen, wenn sie mit Furcht geschlagen sein werden! Dann wird es kein Entrinnen geben, denn sie werden aus nächster Nähe erfaßt werden.

Увидеть бы тебе, как страх охватит их, ■ Когда не будет им возможности бежать ■ И их из места ближнего захватят!

Әгәр күрсәң аларны кубарылган вакытларыңда, бик каты куркырлар, вә алар якын урыннан тотып алынырлар.

اور کاش تم دیکھو جب یہ گھبرا جائیں گے تو (عذاب سے) بچ نہیں سکیں گے اور نزدیک ہی سے پکڑ لئے جائیں گے

اور اگر آپ (ان کا حال) دیکھیں جب یہ لوگ بڑے مضطرب ہوں گے، پھر بچ نہ سکیں گے اور نزدیکی جگہ سے ہی پکڑ لئے جائیں گے،
