وَ حِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ بَيْنَ ما يَشْتَهُونَ كَما فُعِلَ بِأَشْياعِهِمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كانُوا فِي شَكٍّ مُرِيبٍ

و حيل بينهم و بين ما يشتهون كما فعل بأشياعهم من قبل إنّهم كانوا في شكّ مريب

Waheela baynahum wabayna ma yashtahoona kama fuAAila bi-ashyaAAihim min qablu innahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebin

ميان آنها و آن آرزو که دارند جدايي افتاد همچنان که با ديگران که چنين مي انديشيدند و سخت در ترديد بودند ، نيز چنين شد

و بين آنان و آنچه خوش دارند، فاصله افتد، چنانكه پيشترها در حق همانندانشان هم چنين شده بود كه آنان سخت در شك بودند.

و (امروز) ميان آنان و خواستهايشان جدايى مى‏افتد، بدانسان كه پيش از اين نيز بر هم مسلكان آنها جدايى افتاد زيرا آنان (همواره درباره قيامت) در شك و ترديد بسر بردند.

و [در نتیجه] میان آنان و همه خواسته هایشان [به وسیله مرگ] جدایی انداخته شد، همان گونه که پیش از این با هم کیشانشان رفتار شد؛ زیرا آنان همواره [نسبت به حق] در تردیدی سخت بودند.

و (مرگ آمد) فاصله شد ميان ايشان و آنچه آرزو داشتند همانگونه كه رفتار شد با نظائرشان (از امتهاى پيشين) پيش از اين زيرا آنها بودند در گمانى كه (در ديگران) شبهه مى‏افكندند

و ميان آنان و ميان آنچه [به آرزو] مى‏خواستند حايلى قرار مى‏گيرد؛ همان گونه كه از ديرباز با امثال ايشان چنين رفت، زيرا آنها [نيز] در دودلىِ سختى بودند.

ميان آنها و آرزوهايشان جدايى افتاد، همانطور كه از پيش با امثال آنها كه در شك و ترديد بودند، عمل شد.

و جدايى بيفتد ميان آنها و ميان آنچه [از نجات‏] بآرزو مى‏خواستند، هم چنان كه پيش از اين به همانندان ايشان [از كافران پيشين‏] چنين كردند بيگمان آنان در شك و گمان بودند.

و فاصله شد ميان ايشان و ميان آنچه ميخواستند چنانكه عمل شد بامثال ايشان از پيش بدرستيكه ايشان بودند در شكى بتهمت اندازنده

و ميان آنان و آنچه مى‏خواستند، جدايى افكنده شد. چنان كه پيش از اين با همانندهاى آنان انجام شد. آنان در شكى بزرگ بودند

(سرانجام) میان آنها و خواسته‌هایشان جدایی افکنده شد، همان گونه که با پیروان (و هم‌مسلکان) آنها از قبل عمل شد، چرا که آنها در شک و تردید بودند!

و ميان آنان و آنچه آرزو كنند- از لذتهاى مادى دنيا- جدايى افتد چنانكه با همانندان آنها نيز پيش از اين چنين رفتار شد، كه آنان نيز [در باره رستاخيز] سخت در شك و ترديد بودند.

و فاصله شد ميان ايشان و ميان آنچه ميخواستند چنانكه عمل شد بامثال ايشان از پيش بدرستى كه ايشان بودند در شكى بتهمت اندازنده

و جدائى افكنده شد ميان ايشان و ميان آنچه هوس كردند بدانسان كه شد به پيروانشان از پيش كه ايشان بودند در شكى شك آورنده

و (امروز) میان آنها و آرزوهایشان (که به دنیا بر گردند یا توبه و ایمانشان را بپذیرند تا از عذاب رهایی یابند) به کلی دوری و مباینت افکندند چنان که به امثال آنها از امم گذشته که آنها هم در شک و ریب بودند نیز چنین کردند.

درنتيجه، از آنچه آرزويش را داشتند، محروم شدند. اين همان سرنوشتي است که امثال اينان در نسل هاي گذشته به آن دچار شدند. آنها شک و ترديد زيادي به خود راه دادند.

And intervened between them and between what they lust/desire as was made/done with their groups/supporters from before, that they truly were in doubtful/ suspicious doubt/suspicion.310

And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire (i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.), as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt.

And a barrier is set between them and that they desire, as was done with the likes of them aforetime; they were in doubt disquieting.

And so, a barrier will be set between them and all that they had [ever] desired, [Thus, the impossibility of attaining to the fulfillment of any of their desires – whether positive or negative – sums up, as it were, the suffering of the damned in the life to come.] as will be done to such of their kind as lived before their time: for, behold, they [too] were lost in doubt amounting to suspicion. [I.e., a suspicion that all moral postulates were but meant to deprive them of what they considered to be the «legitimate advantages» of life in this world.]

En eene afscheiding zal geplaatst worden tusschen hen en datgene wat zij zullen begeeren. Zooals het reeds is geschied met hen, die zich vroeger evenals zij gedroegen, omdat zij in twijfel verkeerden, waardoor ergernis is voortgesproten.

And they will be separated from what they had desired, as was done for their counterparts before. They have been in grave doubt.

Si porrà [un ostacolo] tra loro e quel che desiderano, come già avvenne per i loro emuli, che rimasero in preda al dubbio e all’incertezza.

And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire (i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.), as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt.

Между ними и тем, что они пожелают, будет воздвигнута преграда, что прежде произошло с подобными им. Воистину, они терзались смутными сомнениями.

Но между ними и их желаниями воздвигнута преграда, как это было сделано раньше для подобных им. Воистину, они были в гнетущем сомнении.

And a barrier shall be placed between them and that which they desire, as was done with the likes of them before: surely they are in a disquieting doubt.

And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt.

And there shall be a barrier between them and that which they lust after; as we did with their fellow sectaries before; verily, they were in hesitating doubt.

Artık kendileriyle, iştahla arzuladıkları şey arasına engel konmuştur. Tıpkı daha önce benzerlerine yapıldığı gibi. Gerçek şu ki onlar, tutarsızlığa iten bir kuşku içindeydiler.

And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt. ‹

As a result, a barrier will be set between them and what they desired, as will be done for people of their kind of older times. For, behold, they too were lost in doubt, suspicion.

Consequently, they were deprived of everything they longed for. This is the same fate as their counterparts in the previous generations. They harbored too many doubts.

And a gulf shall be between them and that which they shall desire – As was done unto their likes of old, who were lost in the questionings of doubt.

And a bar shall be placed between them and that which they shall desire; as it hath been done with those who behaved like them heretofore: Because they have been in a doubt which hath caused scandal.

And a barrier will be placed between them and that which they long for, as was done with the like of them before. They too were in disquieting doubt.

Und ein Abgrund ist gelegt zwischen ihnen und ihren Begierden, wie es ihresgleichen schon zuvor widerfuhr. Sie auch waren fürwahr in beunruhigendem Zweifel.

Но между ними и желаниями их ■ Была воздвигнута преграда, ■ Как было прежде сделано с такими, как они, – ■ Они ведь все в сомнениях тревожных пребывают.

Аларның ахирәткә баргач кына тәүбә итеп, иман китереп ґәзабтан котылу теләкләре белән үзләре арасына алынмый торган пәрдә корылыр. Болардан алдагы кешеләрнең дә шундый теләкләре белән үзләре арасына пәрдә корылган иде. Тәхкыйк алар дөньяда вакытларында үлгәннән соң терелүгә һәм кәферләргә ґәзаб булачагына шикләнә иделәр. Шул зур хаталарын анда үз телләре белән әйтеп бирерләр.

اور ان میں اور ان کی خواہش کی چیزوں میں پردہ حائل کردیا گیا جیسا کہ پہلے ان کے ہم جنسوں سے کیا گیا وہ بھی الجھن میں ڈالنے والے شک میں پڑے ہوئے تھے

اور ان کے اور ان کی خواہشات کے درمیان رکاوٹ ڈال دی گئی جیسا کہ پہلے اُن کے مثل گروہوں کے ساتھ کیا گیا تھا۔ بیشک وہ دھوکہ میں ڈالنے والے شک میں مبتلا تھے،
