لاَ الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَها أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَ لاَ اللَّيْلُ سابِقُ النَّهارِ وَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

لا الشّمس ينبغي لها أن تدرك القمر و لا اللّيل سابق النّهار و كلّ في فلك يسبحون

La alshshamsu yanbaghee laha an tudrika alqamara wala allaylu sabiqu alnnahari wakullun fee falakin yasbahoona

آفتاب را نسزد که به ماه رسد و شب را نسزد که بر روز پيشي گيرد و همه در فلکي شناورند

نه خورشيد را سزاوار است كه [در سير خود] به ماه برسد، و نه شب بر روز سبقت جويد; و همه در سپهرى شناورند.

خورشيد امكان ندارد با ماه برخورد كند و ممكن نيست شب بر روز پيشى گيرد و همه آنها در فلك (فضاى كيهانى) شناورند.

نه برای خورشید این توان هست که به ماه برسد، و نه شب از روز پیشی می گیرد، و هر کدام در مداری شناورند.

نه مهر را سزد كه (در سرعت سير) دريابد ماه را و نه شب پيشى گيرنده است به روز و هر كدام (از مهر و ماه و ستارگان) در فلكى به انبساط مى‏روند

نه خورشيد را سزد كه به ماه رسد، و نه شب بر روز پيشى جويد، و هر كدام در سپهرى شناورند.

نه خورشيد سزاوار اين است كه به ماه برسد و نه شب را توان كه به روز پيشى گيرد و همه بر مدار خود روانند.

نه آفتاب را سزد كه ماه را دريابد و نه شب پيشى گيرنده روز است، و همه در سپهرى [از آن خود] مى‏گردند.

نه آفتاب را سزد كه دريابد ماه را و نه شب پيش گيرنده از روز است و هر يك در گردونى ميروند

نه آفتاب را مى‏رسد كه ماه را دريابد و نه شب پيشى گيرنده از روز است. و هر يك در سپهرى سير مى‏كنند

نه خورشید را سزاست که به ماه رسد، و نه شب بر روز پیشی می‌گیرد؛ و هر کدام در مسیر خود شناورند.

نه خورشيد را سزد كه ماه را دريابد و نه شب بر روز پيشى گيرنده است، و همه در چرخ خود- در مدار خود- شناورند.

نه آفتاب را سزد كه در يابد ماه را و نه شب پيش گيرنده از روز است و هر يك در گردونى ميروند

نه مهر را سزد كه به ماه رسد و نه شب است پيشى گيرنده بر روز و هر كدامند در گردونه اى شناوران

نه (در گردش منظم عالم) خورشید را شاید که به ماه فرا رسد و نه شب بر روز سبقت گیرد و هر یک بر مدار معیّنی (در این دریای بی‌پایان) شناورند.

خورشيد هرگز به ماه نمي رسد- شب و روز هرگز منحرف نمي شوند- هر يك از آنها در مدار خود شناور است.

The sun should not (be) to it that it catches up/overtakes/reaches the moon, and nor the night (is) surpassing/preceding the daytime, and each (is) in (an) orbit/circuit floating.

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit.

It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky.

[and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, [Lit., «nor does the night outrun [or «outstrip»] the day».] since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. MAN’S INGENUITY AS DIRECT MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S CREATIVENESS

Het is der zon niet gegeven de maan in haren loop te bereiken, noch dat de nacht den dag vooruitstreeft; maar ieder dezer lichten beweegt zich in eene afzonderlijke sfeer.

The sun is not required to overtake the moon, nor will the night precede the day; each of them is swimming in its own orbit.

Güneş’in Ay’a ulaşıp çatması gerekmiyor. Gecenin de gündüzü geçmesi gerekmez. Her biri bir yörüngede yüzmektedir.

The sun shall not outstrip the moon, nor shall the night outstrip the day. Each is floating in an orbit.

(The sun cannot cause the moon to gravitate towards itself and the night and the day cannot lengthen or shorten other than the appointed measure (21:33), (22:61), (25:62), (31:29), (41:37), (57:6)).

The sun is never to catch up with the moon – the night and the day never deviate – each of them is floating in its own orbit.

نہ سورج کی یہ مجال کہ وہ (اپنا مدار چھوڑ کر) چاند کو جا پکڑے اور نہ رات ہی دن سے پہلے نمودار ہوسکتی ہے، اور سب (ستارے اور سیارے) اپنے (اپنے) مدار میں حرکت پذیر ہیں،
