وَ لَوْ نَشاءُ لَطَمَسْنا عَلى أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّراطَ فَأَنَّى يُبْصِرُونَ

و لو نشاء لطمسنا على أعينهم فاستبقوا الصّراط فأنّى يبصرون

Walaw nashao latamasna AAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssirata faanna yubsiroona

اگر بخواهيم ، چشمانشان را کور مي کنيم پس شتابان آهنگ صراط کنند اما، کجا را توانند ديد ؟

و اگر خواهيم ديدگانشان را نابينا سازيم، آنگاه به سوى راه [/صراط] بشتابند، اما چگونه بنگرند.

و اگر ما بخواهيم ديدگان آنها را محو و نابينا كنيم، آن گاه كه براه افتند كجا توانند ديد؟

و اگر بخواهیم [در همین دنیا] دیدگانشان را محو می کنیم، پس به [سوی همان] راه [گمراهی] بر یکدیگر پیشی می گیرند؛ نهایتاً چگونه و کجا می توانند [صراط مستقیم را] ببینند؟

و اگر بخواهيم البته محو كنيم ديدگانشان را پس پيشى گيرند به آن راه (كه به حسب عادت بسويش مى‏رفتند) پس چگونه به بينند

و اگر بخواهيم، هر آينه فروغ از ديدگانشان مى‏گيريم تا در راه [كج‏] بر هم پيشى جويند؛ ولى [راه راست را] از كجا مى‏توانند ببينند؟

و اگر بخواهيم چشمانشان را كور مى‏كنيم. پس شتابان آهنگ راه مى‏كنند، اما كجا را مى‏توانند ببينند؟

و اگر خواهيم چشمهاى ايشان را ناپديد كنيم، پس آهنگ راه كنند، و ليكن چگونه مى‏بينند؟

و اگر ميخواستيم هر آينه محو ميكرديم بر چشمهاشان پس پيشى ميگرفتند راه را پس كجا را ميديدند

و اگر بخواهيم ديدگانشان را نابود كنيم، آن گاه شتابان به سوى راه روند. امّا چگونه مى‏توانند ببينند

و اگر بخواهیم چشمانشان را محو کنیم؛ سپس برای عبور از راه، می‌خواهند بر یکدیگر پیشی بگیرند، امّا چگونه می‌توانند ببینند؟!

و اگر خواهيم هر آينه ديدگانشان را محو و ناپديد- نابينا- كنيم آنگاه به سوى راه پيشى گيرند، ولى كجا و چگونه مى‏بينند؟

و اگر ميخواستيم هر آينه محو ميكرديم بر چشمهاشان پس پيشى ميگرفتند راه را پس كجا را ميديدند

و اگر مى خواستيم مى گرفتيم ديدگان ايشان را پس سبقت گرفتند بسوى راه ولى كجا بينند

و اگر ما بخواهیم، دیده‌هایشان را (به گمراهی) محو و نابینا کنیم تا چون به راه سبقت گیرند کجا (با کوری و گمراهی) بصیرت یابند؟

اگر بخواهيم، مي توانيم بر چشمانشان پرده نهيم و درنتيجه، هنگامي كه در جستجوي راهند، نخواهند ديد.

And if We will/want We would have wiped out/destroyed on their eyes/sights, so they raced/surpassed/preceded the road/way, so how (do) they see/understand ?

And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?

Did We will, We would have obliterated their eyes, then they would race to the path, but how would they see?

NOW HAD IT BEEN Our will [that men should not be able to discern between right and wrong], We could surely have deprived them of their sight, [Lit., «We could surely have effaced their eyes»: a metaphor for «We could have created them morally blind» and, thus, devoid of all sense of moral responsibility – which, in its turn, would constitute a negation of all spiritual value in human life as such. (Cf. 2:20 – «if God so willed, He could indeed take away their hearing and their sight».)] so that they would stray forever from the [right] way: for how could they have had insight [into what is true]? [In this instance – as, e.g., in 20:96 – the verb basura («he became seeing» or «he saw») is obviously used in its tropical sense of «perceiving [something] mentally». According to Ibn Abbas as quoted by Tabari, the phrase anna yubsirun signifies «how could they perceive the truth».]

Indien het ons behaagde, konden wij hunne oogen uitsteken, en zij zouden naijverig op den weg voorthollen, dien zij gewoon zijn te kiezen; en hoe zouden zij hunne dwaling zien?

And if We wished, We can blind their eyes, and they would race towards the path, but how would they see?.

E se volessimo, cancelleremmo i loro occhi e si precipiterebbero allora sul sentiero. Ma come potrebbero vedere?

And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?

Если Мы пожелаем, то лишим их зрения, и тогда они бросятся к Пути. Но как они будут видеть?

А если бы Нам захотелось, то Мы лишили бы их зрения. Тогда припустились бы они, обгоняя [друг друга], на [прямой] путь. Но разве могли бы они его увидеть?

And if We please We would certainly put out their eyes, then they would run about groping for the way, but how should they see?

And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the way. Then how could they have seen?

And if we please we could put out their eyes, and they would race along the road; and then how could they see?

Dilesek, gözlerini siler, onları elbette kör ederiz. O zaman yola koyulmak isterler ama nasıl görecekler?

Had it been Our will We would have obliterated their sight so that they raced to the Path. But, how would they see?

Had We so Willed, We could have made them devoid of Vision that would make them unaccountable for whichever way they went. (Without free will like the Animal Kingdom).

If we will, we can veil their eyes and, consequently, when they seek the path, they will not see.

And, if we pleased, we would surely put out their eyes: yet even then would they speed on with rivalry in their path: but how should they see?

If We pleased We could put out their eyes, and they might run with emulation in the way they use to take; and how should they see their error?

And if WE had so willed, WE could have put out their eyes, then they would have rushed unseeing to find the way. But, how could they see ?

Und hätten Wir gewollt, Wir hätten ihre Augen auslöschen können; dann würden sie nach dem Weg geeilt sein. Aber wie hätten sie sehen können?

Будь Наша воля, ■ Мы б зрения лишили их – ■ И, обгоняя и толкаясь, ■ Они бы устремились к Аль Сирату. ■ Но как им остается видеть?

Әгәр теләсәк, аларның күзләрен томалап сукыр кылыр идек, гадәтләре буенча ашыгып юлга чыгарлар, ләкин сукыр булулары сәбәпле юлны һич күрмәсләр.

اور اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کی آنکھوں کو مٹا کر (اندھا کر) دیں۔ پھر یہ رستے کو دوڑیں تو کہاں دیکھ سکیں گے

اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو اُن کی آنکھوں کے نشان تک مِٹا دیتے پھر وہ راستے پر دوڑتے تو کہاں دیکھ سکتے،
