كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَ الأَْحْزابُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ وَ هَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَ جادَلُوا بِالْباطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كانَ عِقابِ

كذّبت قبلهم قوم نوح و الأحزاب من بعدهم و همّت كلّ أمّة برسولهم ليأخذوه و جادلوا بالباطل ليدحضوا به الحقّ فأخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب

Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waal-ahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kullu ommatin birasoolihim liya/khuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatili liyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhum fakayfa kana AAiqabi

پيش از ايشان قوم نوح و گروههايي که بعد از ايشان بودند پيامبرشان را، تکذيب کردند و هر امتي آهنگ آن کرد که پيامبرش را دستگير کند ، و به باطل به ستيزه برخاست تا حق را از ميان بردارد اما من آنها را به عقوبت فرو گرفتم و عقوبت من چه سخت بود

بدينسان پيش از آنان قوم نوح و پس از آنان گروههاى مشرك نيز تكذيب [پيامبران الهى ر] پيشه كردند; و هر امتى قصد پيامبرشان را كردند كه او را فرو گيرند، و به دستاويز باطل مجادله كردند كه حق را با آن ابطال كنند، آنگاه ايشان را فرو گرفتم; پس [بنگر كه] عقوبت من چگ

پيش از اينان، قوم نوح و بعد از آنان اقوام ديگرى پيامبران خود را مورد تكذيب قرار دادند و هر قومى تلاش ميكرد كه پيامبر خود را دستگير (و هلاك) كند و كافران با گفتار باطل و دليل ناحق (با مؤمنين) پيكارها كردند تا حق و حقيقت را از بين ببرند. ما آنها را بعذابى سخت گرفتار ساختيم. پس بنگر، مجازات منكران چقدر سخت و دردناك بود.

پیش از آنان قوم نوح و اقوامی که بعد از آنان بودند [پیامبرانشان را] تکذیب کردند، و هر امتی آهنگ پیامبر خود کردند تا او را دستگیر کنند [و از ابلاغ دین بازش دارند، یا از وطن بیرونش نمایند، یا او را بکشند] و با توسل به باطل برای نابود کردن حق و از میان بردن آن می ادله و ستیزه کردند، پس من هم آنان را [به عذاب] گرفتم، پس [بنگر که] عذاب من چگونه بود.

تكذيب كردند پيش از ايشان گروه نوح و گروه‏هائى چند از پس قوم نوح (پيمبرانشان را) و قصد كردند هر گروهى به پيامبر خويش تا بگيرند او را (و آزارش كنند) و مجادله كردند بباطل (و سخنان بيهوده خود) تا زايل گردانند به آن حق را پس گرفتم ايشان را (و هلاك كردم به مكافات آن) پس چگونه بود عقوبت من

پيش از اينان قوم نوح، و بعد از آنان دسته‏هاى مخالف [ديگر] به تكذيب پرداختند، و هر امّتى آهنگ فرستاده خود را كردند تا او را بگيرند، و به [وسيله‏] باطل جدال نمودند تا حقيقت را با آن پايمال كنند. پس آنان را فرو گرفتم؛ آيا چگونه بود كيفر من؟

پيش از آنها قوم نوح و گروه‏هايى كه در پى آنان بودند پيامبرانشان را تكذيب كردند و هر امتى به دستگيرى پيامبرش همت گماشت و به باطل جدال كرد تا حق را از ميان بردارد، اما من آنها را فرو گرفتم پس عقوبت من چگونه بود؟

پيش از آنها قوم نوح، [نوح را] تكذيب كردند و گروه‏هايى پس از آنان [پيامبرانشان را] و هر امّتى آهنگ پيامبرانشان را كردند تا او را بگيرند [و هلاك كنند] و به باطل [با آنها] جدال كردند تا بدان حقّ را تباه سازند، پس آنان را هلاك كردم، و [ديدى كه‏] عذاب من چگونه بود؟

تكذيب كردند پيش از ايشان قوم نوح و گروه‏هاى دشمن از پس ايشان و قصد كردند هر امتى برسولشان كه بگيرند او را و مجادله كردند بباطل تا ناچيز كنند بآن حق را پس گرفتمشان پس چگونه بود عقوبت من

پيش از آنان قوم نوح و گروه‏هاى [ديگر] پس از آنان (قوم نوح) [رسالت آسمانى را] دروغ انگاشتند و هر گروهى آهنگ پيامبر خود كرد تا او را بگيرند. و [با پيامبرانشان‏] با شبهه‏هاى ناراست مجادله كردند تا با آن حقّ را از بين ببرند، در نتيجه آنان را گرفتار ساختم. پس [بنگر] كيفر من چگونه بود

پیش از آنها قوم نوح و اقوامی که بعد از ایشان بودند (پیامبرانشان را) تکذیب کردند؛ و هر امّتی در پی آن بود که توطئه کند و پیامبرش را بگیرد (و آزار دهد)، و برای محو حق به مجادله باطل دست زدند؛ امّا من آنها را گرفتم (و سخت مجازات کردم)؛ ببین که مجازات من چگونه بود!

پيش از آنان قوم نوح و گروه‏هاى پس از آنها [پيامبران را] تكذيب كردند، و هر امّتى آهنگ آن كردند تا پيامبرشان را بگيرند- و از گفتن حق بازدارند يا بكشند و يا تبعيد كنند-، و به باطل- كژى و ناراستى- ستيزه كردند تا بدان وسيله حق- راستى- را پامال و تباه سازند. پس آنان را [به عذاب‏] بگرفتم، پس [بنگر كه‏] كيفر من چگونه بود.

تكذيب كردند پيش از ايشان قوم نوح و گروه‏هاى دشمن از پس ايشان و قصد كردند هر امتى برسولشان كه بگيرند او را و مجادله كردند بباطل تا ناچيز كنند بان حق را پس گرفتمشان پس چگونه بود عقوبت من

تكذيب كردند پيش از ايشان قوم نوح و احزاب از پس ايشان و آهنگ كرد هر ملتى پيغمبر خويش را تا بگيرندش و ستيزه كردند بوسيله باطل تا نابود كنند بدان حقّ را پس بگرفتيمشان پس چگونه بود مرا عقوبت

(اگر امت تو را تکذیب کردند غم مدار که) پیش از اینان هم قوم نوح و طوایف بعد از نوح نیز (پیغمبران را) تکذیب کردند و هر امتی همّت گماشت که پیغمبر خود را دستگیر (و هلاک) گرداند و جدل و گفتار باطل به کار گرفت تا برهان حق را پایمال سازد، من هم آنها را (به کیفر کفر) گرفتم و چگونه عقوبت سخت کردم!

پيش از آنها قوم نوح از كافران بودند و بسياري مخالفان ديگر پس از آنها. هر جامعه اي رسول خود را مورد اذيت و آزار قرار داد تا او را خنثي كند. و آنها با سخنان باطل مجادله كردند تا حقيقت را مغلوب كنند. درنتيجه، من آنها را تنبيه كردم؛ چه سهمناك بود عذاب من!

Noah’s nation lied/denied/falsified before them, and the groups/parties from after them, and every/each nation intended/began with their messenger to take/punish him , and they argued/disputed with the falsehood to nullify with it the truth , so I punished/took them so how was My punishment?

The people of Nooh (Noah) and the confederates after them denied (their Messengers) before these, and every (disbelieving) nation plotted against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed by means of falsehood to refute therewith the truth. So I seized them (with punishment), and how (terrible) was My punishment!

The people of Noah before them also cried lies, and the parties after them; every nation purposed against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed with falsehood that they might rebut thereby the truth. Then I seized them; and how was My retribution!

to the truth gave the lie, before their time, the people of Noah and, after them, all those [others] who were leagued together [against God’s message-bearers]; [Cf. 38:12-14, where some of those who were «leagued together» (al-ahzab) are enumerated; also verses 30 ff. of this surah.] and each of those communities schemed against the apostle sent unto them, [Lit., «each community schemed against their apostle».] aiming to lay hands on him; and they contended [against his message] with fallacious arguments, so as to render void the truth thereby: but then I took them to task – and how awesome was My retribution!

Het volk van Noach en de verbonden ongeloovigen, die na hen kwamen, beschuldigden hunne verschillende profeten van bedrog, en ieder volk broedde slechte plannen tegen zijne profeten, opdat zij hen in hunne macht zouden krijgen; en zij twistten met ijdele woorden, om daardoor de waarheid krachteloos te maken. Deswege kastijdde ik hen, en hoe gestreng was mijne straf.

Denial had come before them from the people of Noah and the opponents after them, and every nation plotted against their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by means of falsehood to defeat with it the truth. So I took them; how then was My punishment!

Prima di loro il popolo di Noè tacciò di menzogna e dopo di loro [lo fecero] i coalizzati. Ogni comunità tramò contro il suo messaggero, cercando di impadronirsene. Polemizzarono con falsi [argomenti] per respingere la verità. Li afferrai infine, e quale fu la Mia sanzione!

The people of Nooh (Noah) and the confederates after them denied (their Messengers) before these, and every (disbelieving) nation plotted against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed by means of falsehood to refute therewith the truth. So I seized them (with punishment), and how (terrible) was My punishment!

До них сочли лжецами посланников народ Нуха (Ноя) и соумышленники после них. Каждый народ намеревался схватить своего посланника. Они спорили, прибегая ко лжи, чтобы опровергнуть ею истину. Но Я схватил их, и каким же было Мое наказание!

До них отвергли [посланников] народ Нуха и [другие] народы после него. Каждый народ вознамеривался схватить своего посланника [и убить]. Они спорили, прибегая ко лжи, чтобы опровергнуть ею истину. Но Я покарал их. И как [сурово] было Мое наказание!

The people of Nuh and the parties after them rejected (prophets) before them, and every nation purposed against their messenger to destroy him, and they disputed by means of the falsehood that they might thereby render null the truth, therefore I destroyed them; how was then My retribution!

The folk of Noah and the factions after them denied (their messengers) before these, and every nation purposed to seize their messenger and argued falsely, (thinking) thereby to refute the Truth. Then I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment.

The people of Noah before them called the prophets liars; and the confederates after them; and every nation schemed against their Apostle to catch him. And they wrangled with falsehood that they might refute the truth thereby, but I seized them, and how was my punishment!

Onlardan önce Nûh kavmi yalanlamıştı. Onlardan sonra gelen oymaklar da. Her ümmet kendilerine gelen elçiyi yakalasınlar diye uğraştı. Ve hakkı işlemez kılmak için yanlışı/tutarsızlığı esas alarak mücadele ettiler; nihayet onları yakaladım. Nasıl olmuştu azabım?!

The nation of Noah before them belied, and so did the parties after them. Every nation strove against their Messenger to seize him, disputing with false arguments to refute the truth. Then I seized them, how was My punishment!

Before their times, the people of Noah and generations after them too banded together in denying the Message. And every nation endeavored to seize its Messenger, and disputed with him with falsehood in order to refute the Truth. But it was I Who seized them, and, behold, how awesome was My grasping!

Disbelieving before them were the people of Noah, and many other opponents after them. Every community persecuted their messenger to neutralize him. And they argued with falsehood, to defeat the truth. Consequently, I punished them; how terrible was My retribution!

The people of Noah, and the confederates after them, have brought the charge of imposture before these Meccans: each nation schemed against their apostle to lay violent hold on him, and disputed with vain words to refute the truth. Therefore did I lay violent hold on them; and how great was my chastisement!

The people of Noah, and the confederated infidels which were after them, accused their respective prophets of imposture before these; and each nation hatched ill designs against their Apostle, that they might get him into their power; and they disputed with vain reasoning; that they might thereby invalidate the truth: Wherefore I chastised them; and how severe was my punishment!

Before them the people of Noah and other groups after them rejected Our Signs and every nation strove to seize their Messenger, and disputed by means of false arguments that they might rebut the truth thereby. Then I seized them, and how terrible was MY retribution !

Vor ihnen schon leugneten das Volk Noahs und Stämme nach ihnen (die Gesandten), und jedes Volk plante, seinen Gesandten zu ergreifen, und sie stritten mit Falschheit, auf daß sie die Wahrheit damit widerlegen möchten. Dann erfaßte Ich sie, und wie war Meine Strafe!

Ведь и до них считали ложью (их) ■ И люди Нуха, и народы после них. ■ И каждый из народов тех ■ Против посланника, (что им был послан), ■ Коварства замышлял, чтобы схватить его, ■ И меж собою пререкались, ■ Чтоб ложью истину убить. ■ Но Я был Тот, Кто их схватил, – ■ И каково было возмездие Мое!

Алардан элек Нух кавеме дә пәйгамбәрләрен ялганга тоттылар, вә Нухтан соң Гад, Сәмуд кавемнәре пәйгамбәрләрен ялганга тоттылар, вә өммәт үзенең пәйгамбәрләрен тотып үтерергә теләделәр һәм батылны яклап, мактап Ислам диненең хаклыгын юкка чыгару өчен пәйгамбәрләр һәм мөэминнәр белән һәрвакыт низагълаштылар, Без аларны ґәзаб белән тоттык, карагыз, Безнең алардан үч алуыбыз ничек булды?

ان سے پہلے نوح کی قوم اور ان کے بعد اور اُمتوں نے بھی (پیغمبروں کی) تکذیب کی۔ اور ہر اُمت نے اپنے پیغمبر کے بارے میں یہی قصد کیا کہ اس کو پکڑ لیں اور بیہودہ (شہبات سے) جھگڑتے رہے کہ اس سے حق کو زائل کردیں تو میں نے ان کو پکڑ لیا (سو دیکھ لو) میرا عذاب کیسا ہوا

اِن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے اور اُن کے بعد (اور) بہت سی امتّوں نے (اپنے رسولوں کو) جھٹلایا اور ہر امّت نے اپنے رسول کے بارے میں ارادہ کیا کہ اسے پکڑ (کر قتل کر دیں یا قید کر) لیں اور بے بنیاد باتوں کے ذریعے جھگڑا کیا تاکہ اس (جھگڑے) کے ذریعے حق (کا اثر) زائل کر دیں سو میں نے انہیں (عذاب میں) پکڑ لیا، پس (میرا) عذاب کیسا تھا؟،
