أَ فَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الأَْرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ كانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَ أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَ آثاراً فِي الأَْرْضِ فَما أَغْنى عَنْهُمْ ما كانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

أ فلم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الّذين من قبلهم كانوا أكثر منهم و أشدّ قوّة و آثارا في الأرض فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون

Afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo akthara minhum waashadda quwwatan waatharan fee al-ardi fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona

آيا در زمين سير نمي کنند تا بنگرند که عاقبت کساني که پيش از آنها، مي زيسته اند چگونه بوده است ؟ مردمي که نيرويشان بيشتر و آثارشان در روي زمين فراوان تر بود پس آن چيزها که به دست مي آورند سودشان نبخشيد

آيا در زمين سير و سفر نكرده اند كه بنگرند سرانجام كسانى كه پيش از آنان بوده اند چگونه بوده است. آنان از ايشان پر شمارتر و پر توان تر و پر اثرتر بوده اند، اما آنچه به دست آوردند به كارشان نيامد.

آيا مردم در روى زمين به سير و سفر نمى‏پردازند تا سرانجام كار كسانى را كه قبل از ايشان بودند و (از نظر كثرت و قدرت) از اينان بيشتر و نيرومندتر و آثار و امكاناتشان در زمين وسيعتر بود، مشاهده كنند (كه چگونه بكيفر كفرشان هلاك شدند؟) و آنچه كسب كرده و بدست آورده بودند، آنها را از خشم خدا باز نداشت.

آیا در زمین گردش نکردند تا با تأمل بنگرند که سرانجام کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند [و سرکشی و تکبّر می کردند] چگونه بود؟ همانان که نفراتشان از اینان بیشتر و از ایشان نیرومندتر بودند، و در زمین آثاری پایدارتر [چون قلعه ها و خانه های استوار و کاخ های بسیار محکم] داشتند، ولی نفرات و قدرت و آثاری که همواره به دست می آوردند [چیزی از عذاب خدا را] از آنان دفع نکرد.

آيا مشركان نگشتند در زمين تا بنگرند چگونه بود سر انجام آنانكه پيش از ايشان بودند آنان بودند بيشتر از ايشان از نظر افراد و سختتر از نظر نيرو و و باز مانده هائى در زمين پس دفع نكرد از آنان آنچه بدست آورده بودند

آيا در زمين نگشته‏اند تا ببينند فرجام كسانى كه پيش از آنان بودند چگونه بوده است؟ [آنها به مراتب از حيث تعداد،] بيشتر از آنان، و [از حيث‏] نيرو و آثار در روى زمين، استوارتر بودند، و[لى‏] آنچه به دست مى‏آوردند، به حالشان سودى نبخشيد.

چرا آنها در زمين نمى‏گردند تا عاقبت پيشينيانشان را ببينند كه هم نفراتشان از اينها بيشتر و هم قدرت و آثارشان در زمين فزونتر بود، آنچه را به دست آوردند نتوانست بى‏نيازشان كند

آيا در زمين سير نكردند تا ببينند كه سرانجام آنان كه پيش از آنها بودند چگونه بود؟ [آنها به شماره‏] از اينها بيشتر بودند، و به نيرو و آثارى كه روى زمين نهادند نيرومندتر [و افزون‏تر بودند] [ولى‏] آنچه بدست آورده بودند ايشان را بى‏نياز نساخت.

آيا پس سير نمى‏كنند در زمين پس بنگرند كه چگونه بود انجام كار آنان كه بودند پيش از ايشان كه بودند بيشتر از ايشان و سخت تر از حيث توانائى و آثار در زمين پس كفايت نكرد از ايشان آنچه بودند كسب ميكردند

آيا در زمين سير [و سياحت‏] نكرده‏اند تا بنگرند سرانجام پيشينيانشان چگونه بود؟ [آنان‏] از اينان به توان و آثار [آفرينى‏] در زمين بيشتر و افزونتر بودند، پس آنچه مى‏كردند [عذاب الهى را] از [سر] آنان دفع نكرد

آیا روی زمین سیر نکردند تا ببینند عاقبت کسانی که پیش از آنها بودند چه شد؟! همانها که نفراتشان از اینها بیشتر، و نیرو و آثارشان در زمین فزونتر بود؛ امّا هرگز آنچه را به دست می‌آوردند نتوانست آنها را بی‌نیاز سازد (و عذاب الهی را از آنان دور کند)!

آيا در زمين گردش نكرده‏اند تا بنگرند كه سرانجام كسانى كه پيش از آنان بودند چگونه بود؟ آنان كه از ايشان نيرومندتر بودند و نشانه‏هاى بجامانده بيشترى در زمين داشتند پس آنچه فراهم مى‏كردند به كارشان نيامد- و عذاب را از آنها دفع نكرد-.

آيا پس سير نمى‏كنند در زمين پس بنگرند كه چگونه بود انجام كار آنان كه بودند پيش از ايشان كه بودند بيشتر از ايشان و سخت‏تر از حيث توانائى و آثار در زمين پس كفايت نكرد از ايشان آنچه بودند كسب ميكردند

آيا نگشتند در زمين تا بنگرند چگونه بوده است فرجام آنان كه پيش از ايشان بودند بودند بيشتر از ايشان و سخت تر در نيرو و نشانيهاى جاى گذارده در زمين پس بى نياز نكرد از ايشان آنچه بودند فراهم مى كردند

آیا این مردم در زمین به سیر و سفر نرفتند تا عاقبت حال پیشینیانشان را که از اینها بسیار بیشتر و قوی‌تر و مؤثرتر در زمین بودند مشاهده کنند؟ (که چگونه همه هلاک شدند) و آنچه اندوختند آنها را (از مرگ و هلاکت) حفظ و حمایت نکرد.

آيا آنها در زمين سير نكرده اند تا به عاقبت كساني كه پيش از آنها بودند، توجه كنند؟ آنها تعدادشان و قدرتشان بيشتر بود و در زمين صاحب ميراث بيشتري بودند؛ با اين حال، موفقيت هايي كه كسب كردند، كوچك ترين كمكي به آنها نكرد.

Do they not walk/move in the earth/Planet Earth, so they see/wonder about how was those from before them’s end/turn (result)? They were more than them, and stronger (in) strength/power and tracks/historical remains in the earth/Planet Earth, so what they were gaining/acquiring did not enrich/suffice from them (in a thing) .

Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier in strength, and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land, yet all that they used to earn availed them not.

What, have they not journeyed in the land and beheld how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than themselves in might and left firmer traces in the earth; yet that they earned did not avail them.

HAVE THEY, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time? More numerous were they, and greater in power than they are, and in the impact which they left on earth: but all that they ever achieved was of no avail to them –

Gaan zij niet over de aarde, en zien zij niet wat het einde was van hen, die vr hen bestonden? Deze waren talrijker dan zij en machtiger in sterkte, en lieten aanzienlijker gedenkteekenen van hunne macht op aarde; maar wat zij verworven hadden was hun van geen voordeel.

Have they not roamed the Earth and noted the consequences for those who were before them? They used to be greater in number than them and mightier in strength, and they had built more in the land. Yet, all that they had earned could not avail them.

Non hanno viaggiato sulla terra e visto quel che avvenne a coloro che li precedettero e che pure erano più numerosi di loro, più forti e lasciarono maggiori vestigia sulla terra? Quel che avevano acquisito non fu loro di nessuna utilità.

Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier in strength,
and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land, yet all that they used to earn availed them not.

Разве они не странствовали по земле и не видели, каким был конец их предшественников? Они превосходили их числом и силой и оставили больше следов на земле, но не спасло их то, что они приобретали.

Неужели они не странствовали по земле и не видели, каков был конец тех, кто жил до них? Они превосходили их (т. е. мекканских многобожников) числом и построенным на земле, были сильнее, могучее. Но [все это] не спасло их [от наказания Аллаха].

Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? They were more (in numbers) than these and greater in strength and in fortifications in the land, but what they earned did not avail them.

Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those before them? They were more numerous than these, and mightier in power and (in the) traces (which they left behind them) in the earth. But all that they used to earn availed them not.

Have they not journeyed on in the land and seen how was the end of those before them, who were more numerous than they and stronger in might, and in their vestiges which are still in the land? but of no avail to them was that which they had earned.

Yeryüzünde dolaşıp da kendilerinden öncekilerin sonu nice olmuş diye bakmıyorlar mı? Öncekiler bunlardan sayıca daha çok, kuvvetçe daha zorlu ve yeryüzündeki eserler bakımından daha üstün idiler. Ama kazanmış oldukları şeyler, kendilerine hiçbir yarar sağlamadı.

Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who have gone before them? They were stronger than themselves in might and left firmer traces upon the earth; yet, whatsoever they earned did not help them.

Have they not, then, journeyed about the earth and seen what happened in the end to those who lived before them? They were more numerous than these, and greater in power than these are, and stronger in the impact they left upon earth. But all that they ever achieved availed them not, and it failed to make them truly rich.

Have they not roamed the earth and noted the consequences for those who preceded them? They used to be greater in number, greater in power, and possessed a greater legacy on earth. Yet, all their achievements did not help them in the least.

Have they not journeyed in this land, and seen what hath been the end of those who flourished before them? More were they than these in number and mightier in strength, and greater are the traces of their power remaining in the land: yet their labours availed them nothing.

Do they not pass through the earth, and see what hath been the end of those who were before them? They were more numerous than these, and more mighty in strength, and left more considerable monuments of their power in the earth: Yet that which they had acquired, profited them not.

Have they not traveled in the earth that they might see what was the end of those who were before them ? They were more numerous than these, and mightier in power and left firmer traces in the earth. But all that which they earned was of no avail to them.

Sind sie nicht auf der Erde umhergereist, um zu sehen, wie das Ende derer war, die vor ihnen waren? Sie waren zahlreicher als diese und stärker an Macht und in den Spuren (die sie) auf Erden (hinterließen). Doch alles, was sie erwarben, nützte ihnen nichts.

Ужель они не ходят по земле, ■ Не видят то, каков конец был тех, ■ Которые до них (грешили); ■ Кто и числом, и мощью их превосходил – делами, ■ Что на земле оставили свой след? ■ Но их стяжания (в сей жизни) ■ Ничем не послужили им.

Әйә алар Аллаһ эшләренә карап Аллаһуны таный белмәгән гафил кешеләр, җир өстендә игътибар илә йөрмиләрме, әгәр игътибар илә карап йөрсәләр, үзләреннән әүвәлге кәферләр санда күбрәк, куәттә артыграк иделәр вә төзегән биналары да тазарак иде, ләкин Аллаһ ґәзабы килгәндә аларга бер нәрсәләредә файда бирмәде.

کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سیر نہیں کی تاکہ دیکھتے جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے ان کا انجام کیسا ہوا۔ (حالانکہ) وہ ان سے کہیں زیادہ طاقتور اور زمین میں نشانات (بنانے) کے اعتبار سے بہت بڑھ کر تھے۔ تو جو کچھ وہ کرتے تھے وہ ان کے کچھ کام نہ آیا

سو کیا انہوں نے زمین میں سیر و سیاحت نہیں کی کہ وہ دیکھتے کہ اُن لوگوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا جو اُن سے پہلے گزر گئے، وہ اِن لوگوں سے (تعداد میں بھی) بہت زیادہ تھے اور طاقت میں (بھی) سخت تر تھے اور نشانات کے لحاظ سے (بھی) جو (وہ) زمین میں چھوڑ گئے ہیں (کہیں بڑھ کر تھے) مگر جو کچھ وہ کمایا کرتے تھے اُن کے کسی کام نہ آیا،
