بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَنْ جاءَهُمْ مُنْذِرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقالَ الْكافِرُونَ هذا شَيْ‏ءٌ عَجِيبٌ

بل عجبوا أن جاءهم منذر منهم فقال الكافرون هذا شي‏ء عجيب

Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shay-on AAajeebun

که در، شگفت شدند از اينکه از ميان خودشان بيم دهنده اي سويشان آمد و کافران گفتند : اين چيزي عجيب است ،

حق اين است كه [كافران] از اينكه از ميان خودشان هشداردهنده اى به سراغ آنان آمده است، شگفت زده شده اند، و كافران گويند اين چيزى شگفت آور است.

مردم تعجب كردند از اينكه پيامبرى از خودشان براى هدايت آنان آمد و كافر دلان گفتند اين بسيار چيز عجيبى است.

[کفر پیشگان نه تنها ایمان نیاوردند] بلکه از اینکه بیم دهنده ای از خودشان به سوی آنان آمد تعجب کردند و در نتیجه کافران گفتند: این چیزی عجیب است.

بلكه مشركان قريش شگفت داشتند از آنكه آمد به سويشان پيامبرى بيم كننده از جنس خودشان و گفتند كافران اين (بعث) چيزى شگفت آور است

[كه آنان نگرويدند،] بلكه از اينكه هشداردهنده‏اى از خودشان برايشان آمد، در شگفت شدند و كافران گفتند: «اين [محمّد و حكايت معاد] چيزى عجيب است»

آنها از اين كه هشدار دهنده‏اى از ميان خودشان آمد در شگفت شدند. كافران گفتند: «اين چيزى عجيب است.

[نه‏] بلكه شگفت دانند كه ايشان را بيم دهنده‏اى از خودشان آمد؟ و [البته‏] كافران گويند: اين چيزى شگفت است.

بلكه عجب داشتند كه آمد ايشانرا بيم كننده از ايشان پس گفتند كافران اين چيزيست عجيب

حقّ اين است به شگفت آمدند كه هشدار دهنده‏اى از خودشان به سوى آنان آمد. و كافران گفتند: اين چيزى شگفت است

آنها تعجّب کردند که پیامبری انذارگر از میان خودشان آمده؛ و کافران گفتند: «این چیز عجیبی است!

بلكه شگفتى نمودند از اينكه از ميان خودشان بيم‏دهنده‏اى بديشان آمد از اين رو كافران گفتند: اين چيزى شگفت است.

بلكه عجب داشتند كه آمد ايشان را بيم كننده از ايشان پس گفتند كافران اين چيزيست عجيب

بلكه شگفت ماندند كه بيامدشان بيم دهنده اى از ايشان و گفتند كافران اين است چيزى شگفت

(که منکران ایمان نیاوردند) بلکه از آمدن رسولی از خودشان که آنها را هشدار و اندرز دهد به شگفت آمده و کفار (نادان) گفتند: این (دعوی رسالت و خبر از قیامت) بسیار چیز عجیبی است.

آنها از اين شگفت زده شدند كه هشداردهنده اي از ميان خودشان براي آنها آمد! كافران گفتند: اين واقعاً عجيب است.

But they were wondering/astonished that (E) a warner/giver of notice came to them from them, so the disbelievers said: «That (is an) unusual (strange) thing.»

Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: «This is a strange thing!

Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, ‹This is a marvellous thing!

But nay – they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; [This is the earliest Quranic mention – repeated again and again in other places – of people’s «deeming it strange» that a purportedly divine message should have been delivered by someone «from their own midst», i.e., a mortal like themselves. Although it is undoubtedly, in the first instance, a reference to the negative attitude of the Meccan pagans to Muhammad’s call, its frequent repetition throughout the Quran has obviously an implication going far beyond that historical reference: it points to the tendency common to many people, at all stages of human development, to distrust any religious statement that is devoid of all exoticism inasmuch as it is enunciated by a person sharing the social and cultural background of those whom he addresses and because the message itself relies exclusively – as the Quran does – on an appeal to man’s reason and moral sense. Hence, the Quran explicitly mentions people’s «objections» to a prophet «who eats food [like ordinary mortals] and goes about in the market-places» (25:7; see also note on 25:20).] and so these deniers of the truth are saying, «A strange thing is this!

Waarlijk, gij verwondert u, dat een prediker uit hun midden, tot hen is gekomen, en de ongeloovigen zeggen: Dit is eene wonderlijke zaak.

Are they surprised that a warner has come to them from amongst them, so the rejecters said: "This is something strange!"

E invece si stupiscono che sia giunto loro un ammonitore della loro gente. Dicono i miscredenti: «Questa è una cosa strana!

Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!

Но они были удивлены тем, что к ним явился предостерегающий увещеватель из них самих, и неверующие сказали: «Это – нечто удивительное!

Да, они (т. е. мекканские многобожники) удивлены тем, что к ним явился провозвестник из их среды, и неверные сказали: «Это -чудное дело.

Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing:

Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:

nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner from amongst themselves; and the misbelievers say, ‹This is a wondrous thing!

İş sanıldığı gibi değil! Kendilerine içlerinden bir uyarıcı geldi diye şaştılar da şöyle dediler o küfre batanlar: «Acayip şey bu!»

No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): ‹This is a marvelous thing!

But, nay, they marvel that a Warner from among their own has come unto them! And so these deniers are saying, «This is a weird thing!

They found it strange that a warner from among them came to them! The disbelievers said, «This is really strange.

They marvel forsooth that one of themselves hath come to them charged with warnings. «This,» say the infidels, «is a marvellous thing:

Verily they wonder that a preacher from among themselves is come unto them; and the unbelievers say, this is a wonderful thing:

But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, `This is a strange thing.

Aber sie staunen, daß zu ihnen ein Warner gekommen ist aus ihrer Mitte. Und die Ungläubigen sprechen: «Das ist eine wunderliche Sache.

Их удивило, что пришел к ним увещатель, ■ Который был одним из них, ■ И потому неверные сказали: ■ «Какая удивительная вещь!

Үзләре арасыннан бер кешенең Аллаһ ґәзабы белән куркытучы пәйгамбәр булып килүенә кәферләр ґәҗәбләнделәр һәм бу кешенең пәйгамбәр булуы бик ґәҗәб эштер диделәр.

لیکن ان لوگوں نے تعجب کیا کہ انہی میں سے ایک ہدایت کرنے والا ان کے پاس آیا تو کافر کہنے لگے کہ یہ بات تو (بڑی) عجیب ہے

بلکہ اُن لوگوں نے تعجب کیا کہ اُن کے پاس اُنہی میں سے ایک ڈر سنانے والا آگیا ہے، سو کافر کہتے ہیں: یہ عجیب بات ہے،
