بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَرِيجٍ

بل كذّبوا بالحقّ لمّا جاءهم فهم في أمر مريج

Bal kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareejin

آري ايشان سخن راستي را که بر آنها آمده بود دروغ شمردند پس کارشان شوريده و پريشان شد

حق اين است كه [دين و پيامبر] حق را چون فراز آمدشان دروغ شمردند، و ايشان در كارى سردرگمند.

ليكن چون حق و حقيقت براى آنان آمد آن را مورد تكذيب قرار دادند و در كارشان سرگشته و حيران ماندند.

[اینان نه اینکه زنده شدن پس از مرگ را باور نکردند] بلکه حق را هم هنگامی که به سویشان آمد، تکذیب کردند پس در حالتی آشفته و سردرگم اند.

بلكه تكذيب كردند حق (قرآن) را آنگه كه آمد بسويشان پس ايشان در كارى مختلف و متزلزل‏اند

[نه،] بلكه حقيقت را، وقتى برايشان آمد، دروغ خواندند، و آنها در كارى سردرگم [مانده‏]اند.

آن گاه كه حق به سراغشان آمد دروغش به حساب آوردند و چنان شد كه در كارشان سرگردان ماندند.

بلكه «حقّ» را كه برايشان آمد، تكذيب كردند و آنها در كارى شوريده [و گمان آميز] بودند.

بلكه تكذيب نمودند حق را چون آمد ايشانرا پس ايشان‏اند در امرى مضطرب

[نه‏] بلكه حقّ را- چون برايشان آمد- دروغ انگاشتند. و آنان در كارى پريشان هستند

آنها حقّ را هنگامی که به سراغشان آمد تکذیب کردند؛ از این رو پیوسته در کار پراکنده خود متحیّرند!

بلكه سخن حق را چون بديشان آمد دروغ انگاشتند. پس آنها در كارى شوريده و آشفته‏اند.

بلكه تكذيب نمودند حق را چون آمد ايشان را پس ايشان‏اند در امرى مضطرب

بلكه تكذيب كردند به حقّ گاهى كه بيامدشان پس آنانند در كارى آشفته

بلکه کافران چون (رسول) حق آمد او را تکذیب کردند و (در کار بزرگ رسالت و قرآن با عظمت) در حالی مضطرب و سرگردان ماندند (گاهی از جهل، افسانه پیشینیان شمردند و گاهی سحر و شعر پنداشتند).

هرگاه حقيقت براي آنها آمد، آن را رد كردند؛ آنها كاملاً سردرگم هستند.

But they lied/denied/falsified with the truth when (it) came to them, so they are (in a) confusing/disturbing , matter/affair .

Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong).

Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused.

Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. [Since they reject a priori all thought of life after death, they are perplexed by the lack of any answer to the «why» and «what for» of man’s life, by the evident inequality of human destinies, and by what appears to them as a senseless, blind cruelty of nature: problems which can be resolved only against the background of a belief in a continuation of life after bodily «death» and, hence, in the existence of a purpose and a plan underlying all creation.]

Maar zij beladen de waarheid met leugen, nadat de eerste tot hen is gekomen; daarom zijn zij in een verwarde zaak gestort

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused state.

E invece tacciano di menzogna la verità che è giunta loro, ed ecco che sono in grande confusione.

Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong).

Но они сочли ложью истину, когда она явилась к ним, и теперь они находятся в замешательстве.

Нет, они не признали истину, когда она явилась к ним, и они в недоумении.

Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.

Nay, they call the truth a lie when it comes to them, and they are in a confused affair.

Hayır, hayır! Onlar, hak kendilerine geldiğinde, onu yalanladılar. Şimdi perişan mı perişan bir durum içindedirler.

Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion.

Nay, but they denied the Truth as soon as it came to them. And so, they are in a state of utter confusion.

They rejected the truth when it came to them; they are utterly confused.

But they have treated the truth which hath come to them as falsehood; perplexed therefore is their state.

But they charge falsehood on the truth, after it hath come unto them: Wherefore they are plunged in a confused business.

Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a state of confusion.

Nein, sie verwarfen die Wahrheit, als sie zu ihnen kam, und nun sind sie in einem Zustand der Verwirrung.

Но отвергают Истину они, ■ Когда она приходит к ним, ■ И потому находятся в смятенье.

Бәлки алар хаклык белән килгән Коръәнне дә ялган диделәр, алар саташып чуалчык эшкә төшкәннәр, чуалуларының очы-кырые юктыр.

بلکہ (عجیب بات یہ ہے کہ) جب ان کے پاس (دین) حق آ پہنچا تو انہوں نے اس کو جھوٹ سمجھا سو یہ ایک الجھی ہوئی بات میں (پڑ رہے) ہیں

بلکہ (عجیب اور فہم و ادراک سے بعید بات تو یہ ہے کہ) انہوں نے حق (یعنی رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور قرآن) کو جھٹلا دیا جب وہ اُن کے پاس آچکا سو وہ خود (ہی) الجھن اور اضطراب کی بات میں (پڑے) ہیں،
