وَ آثَرَ الْحَياةَ الدُّنْيا

و آثر الحياة الدّنيا

Waathara alhayata alddunya

و زندگي اينجهاني را برگزيده ،

و زندگانى دنيا را برگزيده باشد.

و زندگى دنيا را (بر آخرت) ترجيح داد.

و زندگی دنیا را [بر زندگی ابد و جاوید آخرت] ترجیح داده،

و برگزيد زندگانى دنيا را (و كار آخرت را نساخت)

اما هر كه طغيان كرد،

زندگى دنيا را مقدم داشته

و زندگانى اين جهان را برگزيد.

و برگزيد زندگانى دنيا را

و زندگى دنيا را ترجيح داده باشد

و زندگی دنیا را مقدّم داشته،

و زندگى اين جهان را برگزيد،

و برگزيد زندگانى دنيا را

و زندگانى دنيا را برگزيد

و زندگی دنیا را برگزید.

كسي كه سرگرم اين دنيا بود.

And preferred/chose the life the present/worldly life.

And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts),

and preferred the present life,

and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul],

En dit tegenwoordige leven de voorkeur zal hebben gegeven.

And he was preoccupied with the worldly life.

e avrà preferito la vita terrena,

And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts),

и отдал предпочтение мирской жизни,

и отдавшему предпочтение этой жизни,

And prefers the life of this world,

And chose the life of the world,

and preferred the life of this world,

Ve iğreti hayatı yeğlemiş olan için,

preferring the present life,

And fell for instant gratifications, (‹Hayat-id-duniya› = Life of this world = Short term = Instant gains = Disregard of the life to come).

Who was preoccupied with this life.

And hath chosen this present life,

and shall have chosen this present life;

And prefers the life of this world,

und das irdische Leben vorzog,

И отдал предпочтенье жизни ближней,

дәхи дөньяга бирелеп ахирәт гамәленә кимчелек китерсә,

اور دنیا کی زندگی کو مقدم سمجھا

اور دنیاوی زندگی کو (آخرت پر) ترجیح دی ہوگی،
