وَ ما عَلَيْكَ أَلاَّ يَزَّكَّى

و ما عليك ألاّ يزّكّى

Wama AAalayka alla yazzakka

و اگر هم پاک نگردد چيزي بر عهده تو نيست

و اگر هم پاكدلى پيشه نكند، ايرادى بر تو نيست.

در حالى كه جز تذكر و تزكيه نفس بر تو تكليفى نيست.

در حالی که اگر او نخواهد خود را [از آلودگی های باطنی و عملی] پاک کند تکلیفی بر عهده تو [نسبت به او] نیست؛

چه چيز است بر تو اگر از كفر پاك نشود

تو بدو مى‏پردازى؛

در حالى كه اگر خود را منزه نكند تو در قبالش وظيفه‏اى ندارى.

و بر تو باكى نيست اگر او [از شرك‏] پاك نشود.

و نيست (گناهى) بر تو اگر پاك نشود

و اگر هم [او] پاك نشود، زيانى نبينى

در حالی که اگر او خود را پاک نسازد، چیزی بر تو نیست!

و چيست بر تو- تو را چه زيان دارد- كه [آن كافر] پاكى نورزد؟- يا: و تو را باكى نيست كه او پاكى نمى‏ورزد-.

و نيست (گناهى) بر تو اگر پاك نشود

و نيست بر تو كه او پاكى نجويد

در صورتی که اگر او به پارسایی نپردازد بر تو تکلیفی نیست.

و اگر او از کفرش به ايمان و پارسايي نپردازد بر تو تکليفي نيست .

And it (is) not on you that he not purifies/corrects (himself).

What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah).

though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself.

although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity;

Terwijl gij er niet van beschuldigd wordt, dat hij niet gezuiverd is.

And why does it concern you that he does not want to purify?

Cosa t’importa se non si purifica?

What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah).

Что же будет тебе, если он не очистится?

хотя ты и не отвечаешь за то, что он не очистится от скверны [грехов].

And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself

Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace).

and thou dost not care that he is not purified;

Sana ne onun arınmasından!

although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified.

Yet it is not your responsibility if he grows not in goodness.

Even though you could not guarantee his salvation.

Yet is it not thy concern if he be not cleansed:

whereas it is not to be charged on thee, that he is not cleansed:

Though thou art not responsible if he does not become purified –

Wiewohl du nicht verantwortlich bist, wenn er sich nicht reinigen will.

Хотя твоей вины не будет, ■ Коль не очистится (его душа).

Сиңа нинди зарар бар ул кешенең мөшриклектән һәм гөнаһтан пакьләнмәвеннән?

حالانکہ اگر وہ نہ سنورے تو تم پر کچھ (الزام) نہیں

حالانکہ آپ پر کوئی ذمہ داری (کا بوجھ) نہیں اگرچہ وہ پاکیزگی (ایمان) اختیار نہ بھی کرے،
