وَ قالُوا قُلُوبُنا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِمَّا تَدْعُونا إِلَيْهِ وَ فِي آذانِنا وَقْرٌ وَ مِنْ بَيْنِنا وَ بَيْنِكَ حِجابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنا عامِلُونَ

و قالوا قلوبنا في أكنّة ممّا تدعونا إليه و في آذاننا وقر و من بيننا و بينك حجاب فاعمل إنّنا عاملون

Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatin mimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athanina waqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmal innana AAamiloona

گفتند : دلهاي ما از آنچه ما را بدان دعوت مي کني در پرده است و، گوشهامان سنگين است و ميان ما و تو حجابي است تو به کار خود پرداز و ما نيز به کار خود مي پردازيم

و گويند دلهاى ما از آنچه ما را به آن مى خوانى در پوشش است و در گوشهايمان سنگينى اى، و ميان ما و تو حجابى است، هر چه خواهى كن كه ما نيز كننده ايم.

كافران گفتند: دلهاى ما از قبول دعوت تو محجوب و گوش ما از شنيدن آن سنگين است و ميان ما و تو حائلى قرار گرفته است (كه مانع پذيرش دين اسلام ميباشد) تو به امور دين خود پرداز، ما هم بكيش خود عمل ميكنيم

و گفتند: دل های ما از [درک] حقایقی که ما را به آن می خوانی در پوشش های سختی است، و در گوش های ما سنگینی است، و میان ما و تو پرده ای وجود دارد، بنابراین تو کار خود را انجام بده و ما هم کار خود را انجام می دهیم.

و گفتند دلهاى ما در پرده هاست از (فهم) توحيدى كه مى‏خوانى ما را بسويش و در گوشهاى ما گرانى است و ميان ما و تو پرده‏اى است پس (بر ابطال دين ما) كار كن كه ما نيز كننده‏ايم

و گفتند: «دلهاى ما از آنچه ما را به سوى آن مى‏خوانى سخت محجوب و مهجور است. و در گوشهاى ما سنگينى و ميان ما و تو پرده‏اى است؛ پس تو كار خود را بكن ما [هم‏] كار خود را مى‏كنيم.»

گفتند: «دلهاى ما بر چيزى كه به آن دعوتمان مى‏كنى پوشيده و گوشهايمان سنگين است و ميان ما و تو حايلى وجود دارد. پس تو به كار خود مشغول باش و ما نيز به كار خود مى‏پردازيم.»

و گفتند دلهاى ما در پوششها است از آنچه ما را بدان مى‏خوانى، و در گوشهاى ما سنگينى است، و ميان ما و تو پرده‏اى [از خلاف و نفاق مانع‏] است، تو كار [خود] كن، ما نيز كار [خود] كنيم.

و گفتند دلهاى ما در حجابست از آنچه مى‏خوانيد ما را بسوى آن و در گوشهاى ما سنگينى است و از ميانه ما و ميانه تو مانعى است پس عمل كن بدرستيكه ما عمل مى‏كنيم

و گفتند: دلهاى ما از آنچه ما را به آن مى‏خوانى در پرده‏هايى است و در گوشهايمان سنگينى است و ميان ما و تو حجابى است. پس [به روش خود] رفتار كن كه ما [نيز به شيوه خود] كار مى‏كنيم

آنها گفتند: «قلبهای ما نسبت به آنچه ما را به آن دعوت می‌کنی در پوششهایی قرار گرفته و در گوشهای ما سنگینی است، و میان ما و تو حجابی وجود دارد؛ پس تو بدنبال عمل خود باش، ما هم برای خود عمل می‌کنیم!»

و گفتند: دلهاى ما از آنچه ما را بدان مى‏خوانى در پوششهايى است و در گوشهاى ما سنگينى و گرانى است و ميان ما و تو پرده‏اى است، پس [هر چه توانى‏] كار مى‏كن كه ما نيز [هر چه توانيم‏] كاركننده‏ايم.

و گفتند دلهاى ما در حجابست از آنچه ميخوانيد ما را بسوى آن و در گوشهاى ما سنگينى است و از ميانه ما و ميانه تو مانعى است پس عمل كن بدرستى كه ما عمل مى‏كنيم

و گفتند دلهاى ما در پوششهائى است از آنچه مى خوانيد ما را بدان و در گوشهاى ما است سنگينى و ميان ما و تو است پرده اى پس عمل ميكن كه مائيم عمل كنندگان

و مشرکان گفتند: دلهای ما از قبول دعوتت سخت محجوب و گوش ما از شنیدن سخت سنگین و میان ما و تو حجاب (ضخیم و فاصله بسیار) است، تو به کار (دین) خود پرداز ما هم البته (به کیش خویش) عمل می‌کنیم.

آنها گفتند: ما تصميم خود را گرفته ايم و گوش هايمان پيام تو را نمي شنوند و پرده اي ما را از تو جدا مي كند. هر كاري مي خواهي انجام بده و ما نيز همين طور.

And they said: «Our hearts/minds (are) in covers/protections from what you call us to it, and in our ears (is a) weight/deafness , and from between us and between you (is) a divider/partition , so make/do , that we truly are making/doing .»

And they say: «Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way).»

They say, ‹Our hearts are veiled from what thou callest us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between us and thee there is a veil; so act; we are acting!›

and so they say, [as it were:] «Our hearts are veiled from whatever thou callest us to, [O Muhammad,] and in our ears is deafness, and between us and thee is a barrier. [For this rendering of the term hijab, see note on the first sentence of 7:46. See also 6:25. The «saying» of those who turn away from the message of the Quran is, of course, figurative, describing only their attitude.] Do, then, [whatever thou wilt, whereas,] behold, we shall do [as we have always done]!»

En zij zeggen: onze harten zijn gesluierd voor de leer waartoe gij ons uitnoodigt; er is doofheid in onze ooren, en eene gordijn tusschen ons en ulieden; handel dus zooals gij gepast zult oordeelen; want wij zullen handelen overeenkomstig onze eigene gevoelens.

And they said: "Our hearts are sealed from what you invite us to, and in our ears is a deafness, and there is a barrier between us and you. So do what you will, and so will we."

Dicono: «I nostri cuori sono avviluppati [in qualcosa che li isola] da ciò cui ci inviti, e c’è un peso nelle nostre orecchie. C’è un velo tra noi e te. Fai pure [quello che vuoi] e noi [faremo] quello che vogliamo!».

And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)."

Они говорят: «Наши сердца закрыты для того, к чему ты призываешь нас, наши уши поражены глухотой, а между нами и тобой – завеса. Трудись же, и мы будем трудиться».

и говорит: «Наши сердца закрыты для того, к чему ты зовешь, наши уши глухи к нему, а между нами и тобой – завеса. Верши [свое дело], а мы будем вершить [�
�аши дела] «.

And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working.

And they say: Our hearts are protected from that unto which thou (O Muhammad) callest us, and in our ears there is a deafness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act, then. Lo! we also shall be acting.

and say, ‹Our hearts are veiled from what thou dost call us to, and in our ears is dullness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act thou; verily, we are acting too!›

Dediler ki: «Bizi çağırdığı o şeye karşı kalplerimiz kılıflar içinde; kulaklarımızda bir ağırlık, seninle bizim aramızda da bir perde var. O halde, sen işini yap, muhakkak biz de işimizi yapacağız.»

They say: ‹Our hearts are veiled from that to which you call us, and in our ears there is heaviness. And between us and you is a veil. So work (as you will) and we are working. ‹

And so they say, «Our hearts are veiled from what you invite us to, and (consider) there is deafness in our ears, and that between us and you is a barrier. So, do as you will (mind your business), and, behold, we shall do as we have been doing.»

They said, «Our minds are made up, our ears are deaf to your message, and a barrier separates us from you. Do what you want, and so will we.»

And they say, «Our hearts are under shelter from thy teachings, and in our ears is a deafness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act as thou thinkest right: we verily shall act as we think right.»

And they say, our hearts are veiled from the doctrine to which thou invitest us; and there is a deafness in our ears, and a curtain between us and thee: Wherefore act thou, as thou shalt think fit; for we shall act according to our own sentiments.

And they say, `Our hearts are secure under coverings against that which thou callest us, and in our ears there is a heaviness, and between us and thee is a veil. So carry on thy work; we, too, are working.›

Sie sprechen: «Unsere Herzen sind verhüllt gegen das, wozu du uns berufst, und in unseren Ohren ist Taubheit, und zwischen uns und dir ist ein Vorhang. So handle, auch wir handeln.»

И говорят: «Наши сердца покрыты пеленой, ■ Что отделяет всех нас от твоих призывов, ■ И глухотой закрыты наши уши; ■ Завеса между нами и тобой, – ■ А потому, что хочешь, то и делай, ■ Мы ж будем делать (то, что мы хотим)».

Коръәнгә ышанмаучылар әйттеләр: «Ий Мухәммәд г-м, син безне Коръәнгә чакырасың, безнең күңелебездә пәрдә бар ки – аны аңламас, вә колакларыбызда саңгыраулык бар аны ишетмәс, вә синең белән безнең арабызда пәрдә бардыр, син үз динең белән гамәл кыл, вә без дә үз динебез белән гамәл кылабыз», – дип.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ جس چیز کی طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس سے ہمارے دل پردوں میں ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں بوجھ (یعنی بہراپن) ہے اور ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان پردہ ہے تو تم (اپنا) کام کرو ہم (اپنا) کام کرتے ہیں

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دل اُس چیز سے غلافوں میں ہیں جس کی طرف آپ ہمیں بلاتے ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں (بہرے پن کا) بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان پردہ ہے سو آپ (اپنا) عمل کرتے رہئے ہم اپنا عمل کرنے والے ہیں،
