قالُوا ما أَخْلَفْنا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنا وَ لكِنَّا حُمِّلْنا أَوْزاراً مِنْ زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْناها فَكَذلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ

قالوا ما أخلفنا موعدك بملكنا و لكنّا حمّلنا أوزارا من زينة القوم فقذفناها فكذلك ألقى السّامريّ

Qaloo ma akhlafna mawAAidaka bimalkina walakinna hummilna awzaran min zeenati alqawmi faqathafnaha fakathalika alqa alssamiriyyu

گفتند : ما به اختيار خويش وعده تو خلاف نکرديم بارهايي از زينت آن قوم بر دوش داشتيم آنها را در آتش بيفکنديم و سامري نيز بيفکند

گفتند، در وعده تو به اختيار خود خلاف نكرديم، بلكه از زر و زيور مردم انبوهى به ما داده شد و آنها را [در آتش] انداختيم، و سامرى چنين راهنمايى كرد.

گفتند: ما بميل و اختيار خود خلف وعده نكرديم، بلكه تمام زينت و آلات سنگينى را كه همراه داشتيم بدستور سامرى در يك جا جمع كرديم.

گفتند: ما با اراده خود با وعده تو مخالفت نکردیم، بلکه ما را وادار کردند که بارهایی سنگین از زیور و زینت این قوم را حمل کنیم، پس آنان را [در آتش] انداختیم و به همین صورت سامری هم [آنچه از زیور و زینت داشت] در آتش انداخت.

گفتند خلاف نكرديم وعده ترا به نيرو و اختيار خود و ليكن بر ما نهادند بارهاى گرانى را از زيور گروه قبطيان و افكنديم آنها را (در آتش بحكم سامرى) و همين طور افكند سامرى (زيورش را)

گفتند: «ما به اختيار خود با تو خلاف وعده نكرديم، ولى از زينت‏آلات قوم، بارهايى سنگين بر دوش داشتيم و آنها را افكنديم و [خود] سامرى [هم زينت‏آلاتش را] همين گونه بينداخت.

گفتند: ما به دلخواه خود از وعده تو تخلف نكرده‏ايم. لكن مقدارى از زينت آلات فرعونيان را كه با خود داشتيم در آتش انداختيم و سامرى نيز بينداخت.

گفتند: ما وعده تو را به اختيار تخلف نكرديم، و ليكن بارهاى [زيادى‏] از پيرايه [هاى‏] قوم [فرعون‏] بر دوش ما بود، پس آنها را [در آتش‏] افگنديم، و همچنين [اين كار را] سامرى [بر آنها] القاء كرد.

گفتند خلاف نكرديم وعده ترا باختيارمان و ليكن ما بار كرده شديم احمال را از پيرايه قوم پس انداختيم آنها را پس همچنين انداخت سامرى

گفتند: به اختيار خود در وعده‏ات خلاف نكرديم بلكه بارهايى از زر و زيور قوم [قبط] بر ما تحميل شد. و آن را [در آتش‏] افكنديم، و سامرىّ بدينسان افكند

گفتند: «ما به میل و اراده خود از وعده تو تخلّف نکردیم؛ بلکه مقداری از زیورهای قوم را که با خود داشتیم افکندیم!» و سامری اینچنین القا کرد…

گفتند: ما به اختيار و توان خود وعده تو را خلاف نكرديم، و ليكن بارهايى از پيرايه و زيور آن قوم- قوم فرعون- بر ما نهادند، پس آنها را [در آتش‏] افكنديم و همچنين سامرى [آنچه با خود داشت در آتش‏] افكند

گفتند خلاف نكرديم وعده ترا باختيارمان و ليكن ما بار كرده شديم احمال را از پيرايه قوم پس انداختيم آنها را پس همچنين انداخت سامرى

گفتند خلف نكرديم وعده تو را به نيروى خود و ليكن بارشديم بارهائى را از زيور قوم پس افكنديم آنها را و بدينگونه افكند سامرى

قوم به موسی گفتند: ما به میل و اختیار خود خلاف وعده تو نکردیم و لیکن اسباب تجمل و زینت بسیاری (از فرعونیان) بار دوش ما نهادند و ما آنها را در آتش افکندیم و چنین سامری (فتنه‌انگیز بر ما) القا کرد.

آنها گفتند: ما عمداً پيمان خود را با تو نشکستيم، اما بار جواهرات بر ما سنگيني مي کرد و تصميم گرفتيم بار خود را در اين بيندازيم. اين چيزي است که سامري پيشنهاد کرد.

They said: «We did not break your appointment with our free will, and but we were burdened/made to carry 219weights/burdens from the nation’s decoration/beauty so we threw/hurled it, so as/like that Elsamerey/Samerey threw/threw away.»

They said: «We broke not the promise to you, of our own will, but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (Firauns (Pharaoh)) people, then we cast them (into the fire), and that was what As-Samiri suggested.»

‹We have not failed in our tryst with thee,› they said, ‹of our volition; but we were loaded with fardels, even the ornaments of the people, and we cast them, as the Samaritan also threw them, into the fire.›

They answered: «We did not break our promise to thee of our own free will, but [this is what happened:] we were loaded with the [sinful] burdens of the [Egyptian] people’s ornaments, and so we threw them [into the fire],» and likewise did this Samaritan cast [his into it].»

Zij antwoordden: Wij hebben niet geschonden hetgeen wij u uit eigen beweging beloofden: maar men beval ons, verscheiden lasten goud en zilver van de versierselen des volks aan te dragen, en wij wierpen die in het vuur,

They said: "We did not break the promise by our own will, but we were loaded down with the jewellery of the people so we cast them down, and it was such that the Samarian suggested."

They said: "We broke not the promise to you, of our own will, but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (Firauns (Pharaoh)) people, then we cast them (into the fire), and that was what As-Samiri suggested."

They said: We did not break (our) promise to you of our own accord, but we were made to bear the burdens of the ornaments of the people, then we made a casting of them, and thus did the Samiri suggest.

They said: We broke not tryst with thee of our own will, but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk, then cast them (in the fire), for thus As-Samiri proposed.

They said, ‹We have not broken our promise to thee of our own accord. But we were made to carry loads of the ornaments of the people, and we hurled them down, and so did es Samariy cast;

They replied: ‹We have not failed in our promise to you through our choosing. We were laden with fardels, even the ornaments of the nation, and threw them just as the Samaritan had thrown them (into the fire),

They said, «We intended to break no promises. But this is what happened. We were loaded with the sinful burdens of the (Egyptian people’s) ornament, and so we threw them into the fire, as suggested by this As-Samiri.»

They said, «We did not break our agreement with you on purpose. But we were loaded down with jewelry, and decided to throw our loads in. This is what the Samarian suggested.»

They said, «Not of our own accord have we failed in the promise to thee, but we were made to bring loads of the people’s trinkets, and we threw them into the fire and Samiri likewise cast them in,

They answered, we have not failed in what we promised thee of our own authority; but we were made to carry in several loads of gold and silver, of the ornaments of the people, and we cast them into the fire; and in like manner al Sameri also cast in what he had collected,

They said, `We did not break our promise to thee of our own accord; but we were laden with loads of people’s ornaments and we cast them away, and likewise did the Samل²­ cast away.›

Sie sprachen: «Nicht aus freien Stücken haben wir das Versprechen gegen dich gebrochen; allein wir waren beladen mit der Last der Schmucksachen des Volks; wir warfen sie fort, und so tat auch der Sámirí.»

وہ بولے: ہم نے اپنے اختیار سے آپ کے وعدہ کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کی مگر (ہوا یہ کہ) قوم کے زیورات کے بھاری بوجھ ہم پر لاد دیئے گئے تھے تو ہم نے انہیں (آگ میں) ڈال دیا پھر اسی طرح سامری نے (بھی) ڈال دیئے،
