فَلَمَّا جاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّناتِ فَرِحُوا بِما عِنْدَهُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ وَ حاقَ بِهِمْ ما كانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُنَ

فلمّا جاءتهم رسلهم بالبيّنات فرحوا بما عندهم من العلم و حاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزؤن

Falamma jaat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati farihoo bima AAindahum mina alAAilmi wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona

چون پيامبرانشان با دلايل روشن به سويشان آمدند ، به دانش خود دلخوش بودند تا آن چيزي که مسخره اش مي کردند آنها را در ميان گرفت

آنگاه كه پيامبرانشان براى آنان پديده هاى روشنگر آوردند، از آن مقدار علمى كه داشتند، شادمانى كردند و [تبعات] آنچه ريشخندش مى كردند آنان را فروگرفت.

هنگامى كه پيامبران با حجتى آشكار براى هدايت آنان آمدند، آنان از معلومات و اطلاعات باطلى كه داشتند بر خود باليدند و بسيار مغرور شدند (و پيامبران را مورد تمسخر قرار دادند) و سرانجام وعده عذابى كه مسخره ميكردند (و بشوخى ميگرفتند) سخت گرفتارشان ساخت.

هنگامی که پیامبرانشان دلایل روشن برای آنان آوردند، به اندک دانشی که نزد خود داشتند خوشحال بودند [و غیر آن را چیزی به حساب نمی آوردند] ولی عذابی که همواره آن را به مسخره می گرفتند، آنان را احاطه کرد.

پس آندم كه آمد بسويشان پيمبرانشان با نشانه‏هاى روشن شاد گشتند به آنچه نزد ايشان بود از دانش و فرود آمد بديشان آن عذابى كه پيوسته به آن استهزاء مى‏كردند

و چون پيامبرانشان دلايل آشكار برايشان آوردند، به آن چيز [مختصرى‏] از دانش كه نزدشان بود خرسند شدند، و [سرانجام‏] آنچه به ريشخند مى‏گرفتند آنان را فروگرفت.

و چون رسولانشان با دلايل روشن به نزدشان آمدند، به دانش خود دلخوش بودند تا آن چيزى كه مسخره‏اش مى‏كردند آنها را در ميان گرفت

پس چون پيامبرانشان با معجزات به سوى آنها آمدند، بدانچه از دانش [زيانبار و عقايد باطله‏] داشتند شادمان شدند و فرو گرفت ايشان را [كيفر] آنچه بدان خندستانى مى‏كردند.

پس چون آمد ايشانرا رسولانشان با بينه‏ها شاد شدند بآنچه بود نزد ايشان از دانش و فرا گرفت ايشانرا آنچه بودند بآن استهزاء ميكردند

پس چون پيامبرانشان با معجزه‏ها به سوى آنان آمدند. به دانشى كه نزد خود داشتند، شاد شدند و آنچه كه آن را به ريشخند مى‏گرفتند، آنان را فرو گرفت

هنگامی که رسولانشان دلایل روشنی برای آنان آوردند، به دانشی که خود داشتند خوشحال بودند (و غیر آن را هیچ می‌شمردند)؛ ولی آنچه را (از عذاب) به تمسخر می‌گرفتند آنان را فراگرفت!

پس چون پيامبرانشان با نشانه‏ها و دلايل روشن بديشان آمدند آنان بدانچه از دانش- دانش معاش مانند پيشه‏ها و صناعات- نزدشان بود دل خوش كردند، و آنچه بدان استهزا مى‏كردند آنها را فروگرفت.

پس چون آمد ايشان را رسولانشان با بينه‏ها شاد شدند بانچه بود نزد ايشان از دانش و فرا گرفت ايشان را آنچه بودند بآن استهزاء ميكردند

و هنگامى كه بيامدشان فرستادگانشان به نشانيها شاد شدند بدانچه نزد ايشان بود از دانش و فرود آمد بديشان آنچه بودند بدان مسخره مى كردند

پس آن گاه که رسولانشان با معجزات و ادلّه روشن به سوی آنها آمدند آن مردم (نادان) به دانش و عقاید باطل خود شاد و مغرور شدند و وعده عذابی که مسخره می‌کردند همه را فرا گرفت.

هنگامي كه رسولانشان با مدرك هاي روشن نزدشان رفتند، آنها به دانشي كه به ارث برده بودند، دلخوش بودند و درست همان چيزهايي را كه مسخره مي كردند، باعث سقوط آنها شد.

So when their messengers came to them with the evidences, they became happy/rejoiced/delighted with what (is) at them from the knowledge; and what they were with it mocking/making fun surrounded/afflicted with them.

Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).

So, when their Messengers brought them the clear signs, they rejoiced in what knowledge they had, and were encompassed by that they mocked at.

for when their apostles came to them with all evidence of the truth, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they [already] possessed: [I.e., they were fully satisfied with their own empirically or speculatively acquired or inherited knowledge; and so, in their arrogant conviction that man is «self-sufficient» and, therefore, not in need of any guidance by a Power beyond the reach of human perception, they rejected whatever ethical and spiritual truths were offered them by the prophets.] and [so, in the end,] they were overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride. [I.e., the idea of God’s existence and inescapable judgment: see 6:10 and the corresponding note.]

En toen hunne apostelen tot hen kwamen met duidelijke bewijzen hunner zending verheugden zij zich vol overmoed in de kennis, die met hen was, doch de straf, waarover zij hadden gespot, omringde hen.

Then, when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were content with what they already had of the knowledge. And that which they ridiculed became their doom.

Quando i loro messaggeri recarono le prove evidenti, si rallegravano della scienza che già possedevano e perciò li avvolse quel che schernivano.

Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).

Когда их посланники приходили к ним с ясными знамениями, они радовались тому знанию, которое было у них, и тогда их окружило (или поразило) то, над чем они издевались.

Когда же к ним прибыли их посланники с ясными знамениями, они кичились тем знанием, что было у них. И их поразило то, над чем они насмехались.

Then when their messengers came to them with clear arguments, they exulted in what they had with them of knowledge, and there beset them that which they used to moc

And when their messengers brought them clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty) they exulted in the knowledge they (themselves) possessed. And that which they were wont to mock befell them.

And when there came to them their apostles with manifest signs they rejoiced in what knowledge they had; but there closed in upon them that whereat they had mocked.

Resulleri onlara açık-seçik beyyineler getirdiklerinde, onlar, yanlarındaki bilgiyle sevinip övündüler. Ve alay edip durdukları şey kendilerini kuşatıverdi.

When their Messengers brought them clear verses they rejoiced in such knowledge as they had; but they were encompassed by that which they mocked.

For when their Messengers came to them with all evidence of the Truth, they took delight in the knowledge they possessed. And the very thing they used to mock came on to pay a visit to them. (They took pride in their knowledge and skill and ridiculed the warnings of the Messengers that wrong Systems crash down however smartly they might be run).

When their messengers went to them with clear proofs, they rejoiced in the knowledge they had inherited, and the very things they ridiculed were the cause of their fall.

And when their apostles had come to them with the tokens of their mission, they exulted in what they possessed of knowledge; but that retribution at which they scoffed, encompassed them.

And when their Apostles came unto them with evident proofs of their mission, they rejoiced in the knowledge which was with them: But that which they mocked at, encompassed them.

And when their Messengers came to them with manifest Signs, they exulted in the little knowledge they had. And that at which they mocked encompassed them.

Und wenn ihre Gesandten zu ihnen kamen mit deutlichen Zeichen, so frohlockten sie über das Wissen, das sie (selbst) besaßen. Und das, worüber sie zu spotten pflegten, umfing sie.

Когда же с ясными знаменьями от Нас ■ Посланники к ним приходили, ■ Они (ликующе) торжествовали ■ От (полноты) тех знаний (и умений), ■ Которые они приобрели, ■ Но их объяло то, ■ Над чем они (в сей жизни) насмехались.

Кәферләргә пәйгамбәрләре могъҗизалар вә ачык дәлилләр белән килсәләр, алар пәйгамбәрләрнең хак сүзләрен һичнәрсәгә санамыйча, үзләренең бозык игътикадлары вә аз тына сукыр белемнәре белән мактанып шатландылар. Үзләре мәсхәрә кылган ґәзаб аларга бик тиешле булды.

اور جب ان کے پیغمبر ان کے پاس کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو جو علم (اپنے خیال میں) ان کے پاس تھا اس پر اترانے لگے اور جس چیز سے تمسخر کیا کرتے تھے اس نے ان کو آ گھیرا

پھر جب اُن کے پیغمبر اُن کے پاس واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو اُن کے پاس جو (دنیاوی) علم و فن تھا وہ اس پر اِتراتے رہے اور (اسی حال میں) انہیں اُس (عذاب) نے آگھیرا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے،
