وَ ما كانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً فَلَوْ لا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طائِفَةٌ لِيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ وَ لِيُنْذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ إِذا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ

و ما كان المؤمنون لينفروا كافّة فلو لا نفر من كلّ فرقة منهم طائفة ليتفقّهوا في الدّين و لينذروا قومهم إذا رجعوا إليهم لعلّهم يحذرون

Wama kana almu/minoona liyanfiroo kaffatan falawla nafara min kulli firqatin minhum ta-ifatun liyatafaqqahoo fee alddeeni waliyunthiroo qawmahum itha rajaAAoo ilayhim laAAallahum yahtharoona

و نتوانند مؤمنان که همگي به سفر روند چرا از هر گروهي دسته اي به سفرنروند تا دانش دين خويش را بياموزند و چون بازگشتند مردم خود را هشداردهند ، باشد که از زشتکاري حذر کنند ؟

و سزاوار نيست كه مؤمنان همگى رهسپار [جهاد] شوند; اما چرا از هر فرقه اى از آنان گروهى رهسپار نشوند كه دين پژوهى كنند و چون به نزد قومشان باز گشتند ايشان را هشدار دهند تا پروا پيشه كنند؟

(هنگامى كه پيامبر فرمان حركت داد) مؤمنين نبايد همه با هم حركت كنند (و پيامبر خدا را تنها بگذارند) از هر گروه بايد عده‏اى (نزد پيامبر) بمانند و در امور دينى كسب معلومات كنند و ياران خود را هنگام بازگشت آگاه نمايند تا آنها از اعمال ناپسند دورى كنند.

و مؤمنان را نسزد که همگی [به سوی جهاد] بیرون روند؛ چرا از هر جمیعتی گروهی [به سوی پیامبر] کوچ نمی کنند تا در دین آگاهی یابند و قوم خود را هنگامی که به سوی آنان بازگشتند، بیم دهند، باشد که [از مخالفت با خدا و عذاب او] بپرهیزند.

و حق ندارند مؤمنان (بجهاد) بروند همگى پس چرا نروند از هر گروهى از مؤمنان (بسوى پيغمبر) پاره‏اى تا طلب دانشى كنند در دين و تا بيم دهند گروه خود را آنگه كه برمى‏گردند بسوى ايشان تا آنكه بيم يافتگان (از گناهان) پرهيز كنند

و شايسته نيست مؤمنان همگى [براى جهاد] كوچ كنند. پس چرا از هر فرقه‏اى از آنان، دسته‏اى كوچ نمى‏كنند تا [دسته‏اى بمانند و] در دين آگاهى پيدا كنند و قوم خود را -وقتى به سوى آنان بازگشتند بيم دهند- باشد كه آنان [از كيفر الهى ]بترسند؟

مؤمنان نبايد همه با هم سفر كنند، چرا از هر گروه دسته‏اى سفر نكنند تا در كار دين دانش بياموزند و چون بازگشتند قوم خود را هشدار دهند شايد آنها بترسند.

و نبايد مؤمنان همه با هم بيرون آيند، پس چرا از هر فرقه ايشان بعضى نرفتند تا در دين، دانش آموزند و قوم خود را بيم دهند آن گاه كه به سوى ايشان باز مى‏گردند، باشد كه ايشان بترسند.

و نباشد گروندگان را كه بروند همگى پس چرا نرفتند از هر گروهى از ايشان پاره تا دانش آموزند در دين و تا بيم كنند قومشان را چون بازگردند بسوى ايشان باشد كه آنها بترسند

و مؤمنان را نشايد كه همه يك جا بيرون آيند. پس چرا از هر جمعى از آنان گروهى بيرون نيامدند تا در دين فقيه گردند و تا قومشان را چون به سويشان باز آيند، بيم دهند، باشد كه آنان [از كيفر خدا] بيمناك شوند

شایسته نیست مؤمنان همگی (بسوی میدان جهاد) کوچ کنند؛ چرا از هر گروهی از آنان، طایفه‌ای کوچ نمی‌کند (و طایفه‌ای در مدینه بماند)، تا در دین (و معارف و احکام اسلام) آگاهی یابند و به هنگام بازگشت بسوی قوم خود، آنها را بیم دهند؟! شاید (از مخالفت فرمان پروردگار) بترسند، و خودداری کنند!

و همه مؤمنان را نشايد كه [براى جهاد] بيرون روند، پس چرا از هر گروهى از ايشان جمعى بيرون نروند [و دسته‏اى بمانند] تا دانش دين بياموزند- و آيات و احكام جديد را فرا گيرند- و مردم خويش را چون به سوى ايشان باز گردند هشدار و بيم دهند شايد كه بترسند و بپرهيزند.

و نباشد گروندگانرا كه بروند همگى پس چرا نرفتند از هر گروهى از ايشان پاره تا دانش آموزند در دين و تا بيم كنند قومشان را چون باز گردند بسوى ايشان باشد كه آنها بترسند

نرسد مؤمنان را كه بكوچند همگى پس چرا نكوچد از هر گروهى از ايشان دسته اى تا دانش جويند در دين و تا بترسانند قوم خويش را گاهى كه بازگردند بسوى آنان شايد بترسند ايشان

و (هنگامی که رسول فرمان خروج برای جنگ دهد) نباید مؤمنان همگی بیرون روند (و رسول را تنها گذارند) پس چرا از هر طایفه‌ای جمعی برای جنگ و گروهی نزد رسول برای آموختن علم دین مهیا نباشند تا قوم خود را چون به نزدشان بازگشتند بیم رسانند، باشد که (از نافرمانی خدا) حذر کنند.

هنگامي كه مؤمنان بسيج مي شوند، نبايد همگي آنها بروند. عده كمي از هر گروه بايد بسيج شوند تا وقت خود را صرف مطالعه دين كنند. بنابراين، هنگامي كه آنها بازمي گردند، مي توانند دانش را به مردمشان انتقال دهند، باشد كه از نظر ديني آگاه باشند.

And the believers were not to rush/hasten all (to battle) , so if only (there were) a group from every group/party from them, a group of people to learn/comprehend/have knowledge in the religion, and to warn/give notice (to) their nation if they returned to them, maybe/perhaps they be warned/cautioned .

And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight (Jihad) all together. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).

It is not for the believers to go forth totally; but why should not a party of every section of them go forth, to become learned in religion, and to warn their people when they return to them, that haply they may beware?

With all this, it is not desirable that all of the believers take the field [in time of war]. From within every group in their midst, some shall refrain from going forth to war, and shall devote themselves [instead] to acquiring a deeper knowledge of the Faith. and [thus be able to] teach their home-coming brethren, so that these [too] might guard themselves against evil. ‹

De geloovigen zijn niet verplicht allen te gelijk ten strijde te trekken. Indien een deel van iederen stam niet vertrekt, geschiedt dit om zich met ijver in hunnen godsdienst te onderrichten, en om hun volk te vermanen, indien zij terugkeeren, opdat het volk op zijne goede zij.

And it is not advisable for the believers to march out in their entirety. For every battalion that marches out, let a group remain to study the system, and warn their people when they return to them, perhaps they will be aware.

I credenti non vadano in missione tutti insieme. Perché mai un gruppo per ogni tribù, non va ad istruirsi nella religione, per informarne il loro popolo quando saranno rientrati, affinché stiano in guardia?

And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight (Jihad) all together. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).

Верующим не следует выступать в поход всем вместе. Почему бы не отправить из каждой группы по отряду, чтобы они могли изучить религию и увещевать людей, когда они вернутся к ним? Быть может, они будут остерегаться.

Верующим не следует выступать [в поход или поездку] всем народом. Почему бы не отправить из каждой группы по отряду, чтобы [глубже] познать религию и по возвращении увещевать [оставшихся] людей? Быть может, они станут избегать [зла].

And it does not beseem the believers that they should go forth all together; why should not then a company from every party from among them go forth that they may apply themselves to obtain understanding in religion, and that they may warn their people when they come back to them that they may be cautious?

And the believers should not all go out to fight. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may gain sound knowledge in religion, and that they may warn their folk when they return to them, so that they may beware.

The believers should not march forth altogether; and if a troop of every division of them march not forth, it is only that they may study their religion and warn their people when they return to them, that haply they may beware.

İnananların hepsinin birden savaşa çıkmaları doğru değildir. Onların her kesiminden bir grubun dinde derin bilgiler edinmek ve sefere çıkan topluluk geri döndüğünde, korunmaları ümidiyle onları uyarmak için arkada kalmaları gerekmez mi?

The believers should not go forth altogether, rather, a party from each section should go forth to become well versed in the religion, and when they return to their people warn them in order that they may beware.

The believers shall not all go to an expedition. Of every group of believers, let some of them come forth to gain sound knowledge of DEEN (the Qur’anic System of life). Then they can pass the knowledge on to their people when they return, so that they may remain aware.

When the believers mobilize, not all of them shall do so. A few from each group shall mobilize by devoting their time to studying the religion. Thus, they can pass the knowledge on to their people when they return, that they may remain religiously informed.

The faithful must not march forth all together to the wars: and if a party of every band of them march not out, it is that they may instruct themselves in their religion, and may warn their people when they come back to them, that they take heed to themselves.

The believers are not obliged to go forth to war all together; If a part of every band of them go not forth, it is that they may diligently instruct themselves in their religion; and may admonish their people, when they return unto them, that they may take heed to themselves.

It is not possible for the believers to go forth all together. Why, then, does not a party from every section of them go forth that they may become well-versed in religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may guard against evil.

Es ist für die Gläubigen nicht möglich, alle zusammen auszuziehen. Warum zieht denn nicht aus ihrer jeder Schar eine Gruppe aus, auf daß sie wohl bewandert würden in Glaubensdingen und nach ihrer Rückkehr zu ihrem Volk es warnen könnten, daß es sich vor Übel hüten mag?

Не надо верным выступать (в поход) всем сразу. ■ Пусть лучше бы составился отряд ■ От каждого колена иль общины, ■ Который бы у них (в тылу остался), ■ Чтобы давать им пояснения (о том, ■ Что составляет суть) религии (Аллаха), ■ И наставлять по возвращении в общину свой народ, ■ Чтоб осмотрительными были.

Мөэминнәрнең барчасы да сугышка чыгулары дөрес түгел, әгәр һәрбер фиркадән бер таифә сугышка чыкмасалар, дин белемен өйрәнмәк вә өйрәтмәк өчен дәхи сугышка киткән кешеләр кайткач аларга өйрәтмәк өчен, шаять сугышка киткән кешеләр дә вәгазьләнерләр иде.

اور یہ تو ہو نہیں سکتا کہ مومن سب کے سب نکل آئیں۔ تو یوں کیوں نہ کیا کہ ہر ایک جماعت میں سے چند اشخاص نکل جاتے تاکہ دین کا (علم سیکھتے اور اس) میں سمجھ پیدا کرتے اور جب اپنی قوم کی طرف واپس آتے تو ان کو ڈر سناتے تاکہ وہ حذر کرتے

اور یہ تو ہو نہیں سکتا کہ سارے کے سارے مسلمان (ایک ساتھ) نکل کھڑے ہوں، تو ان میں سے ہر ایک گروہ (یا قبیلہ) کی ایک جماعت کیوں نہ نکلے کہ وہ لوگ دین میں تفقہ (یعنی خوب فہم و بصیرت) حاصل کریں اور وہ اپنی قوم کو ڈرائیں جب وہ ان کی طرف پلٹ کر آئیں تاکہ وہ (گناہوں اور نافرمانی کی زندگی سے) بچیں،
