أَ لَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَ عادٍ وَ ثَمُودَ وَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ جاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّناتِ فَرَدُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْواهِهِمْ وَ قالُوا إِنَّا كَفَرْنا بِما أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ وَ إِنَّا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَنا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ

أ لم يأتكم نبؤا الّذين من قبلكم قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و الّذين من بعدهم لا يعلمهم إلاّ اللّه جاءتهم رسلهم بالبيّنات فردّوا أيديهم في أفواههم و قالوا إنّا كفرنا بما أرسلتم به و إنّا لفي شكّ ممّا تدعوننا إليه مريب

Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena min qablikum qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim la yaAAlamuhum illa Allahu jaat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati faraddoo aydiyahum fee afwahihim waqaloo inna kafarna bima orsiltum bihi wa-inna lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonana ilayhi mureebun

آيا خبر کساني که پيش از شما بوده اند ، چون قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و نيز، کساني که بعد از آنها بوده اند ، به شما نرسيده است ؟ جز خدا کسي را از آنان آگاهي نيست پيامبرانشان همراه با دلايل روشن آمدند و آنها دست بر دهان بردند و گفتند : ما به آنچه بدان مامور شده ايد ايمان نمي آوريم و در چيزي که ما را بدان مي خوانيد سخت در ترديد هستيم

آيا خبر كسانى چون قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود كه پيش از شما بودند، و كسانى كه پس از آنان بودند، به شما نرسيده است، كه هيچ كس جز خداوند آنان را نمى شناسد، كه پيامبرانشان براى آنان معجزاتى [به ميان] آوردند; آنگاه آنان دستهايشان را بر دهانهايشان بردند [كه خاموش!];

آيا خبر كسانى كه پيش از شما بودند، از قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و كسانى كه بعد از آنها بودند، براى شما نرسيده است؟ و جز خدا كسى بر سرگذشت آنها آگاه نيست. پيامبرانشان براى آنها دلايل روشن آوردند و آنها از تعجب دست در دهانشان بردند و گفتند: ما به شما پيامبران براى هر كارى كه فرستاده شده‏ايد كافر و ناباوريم و از آنچه ما را بسوى آن ميخوانيد (خدا، قيامت، بهشت، دوزخ) در شك و ترديد هستيم.

آیا خبر [پندآموز] کسانی که پیش از شما بودند، به شما نرسیده؟ [خبرِ] قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنان که پس از ایشان بودند که جز خدا از آنان آگاه نیست، [همه آنان اقوامی بودند که] پیامبرانشان برای آنان دلایل روشن آوردند، ولی آنان دست هایشان را [به عنوان اعتراض، استهزا، تحقیر کردن و پاسخ ندادن به دعوت پیامبران] در دهان هایشان بردند و گفتند: مسلماً ما به آن رسالتی که شما به آن فرستاده شده اید، کافریم و نسبت به آنچه ما را به آن دعوت می کنید، به شدت در شک و تردیدیم!!

آيا نيامده به شما خبر (هلاكت) آنانكه پيش از شما بودند يعنى قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنانكه از پس ايشان بودند كه نمى‏داند (شرح حال) ايشان را مگر خدا آمدند بسوى ايشان پيمبرانشان با حجتهاى روشن پس آنان برگرداندند دستهاى پيمبران را بر دهنهاى ايشان و گفتند كه ما نگرويده‏ايم به آن كيشى كه فرستاده شده‏ايد به تبليغ آن بيگمان ما در شكيم در باره آن توحيدى كه مى‏خوانيد ما را بسوى آن كه باعث تهمت بشماست

آيا خبر كسانى كه پيش از شما بودند: قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود، و آنانكه بعد از ايشان بودند [و] كسى جز خدا از آنان آگاهى ندارد، به شما نرسيده است؟ فرستادگانشان دلايل آشكار برايشان آوردند، ولى آنان دستهايشان را [به نشانه اعتراض‏] بر دهانهايشان نهادند و گفتند: «ما به آنچه شما بدان مأموريت داريد كافريم، و از آنچه ما را بدان مى‏خوانيد سخت در شكّيم.»

آيا خبر پيشينيان- قوم نوح، عاد، ثمود و آنان كه بعد از آنها آمدند و جز خداوند از آنها خبر ندارد- به شما نرسيد؟ پيامبرانشان براى آنها معجزه آوردند ولى آنها دست بر دهان بردند و گفتند: «ما به آنچه شما به آن مأمور هستيد كافريم و نسبت به آنچه ما را به سوى آن مى‏خوانيد ترديد داريم.»

آيا به شما نيامد خبر آنان كه پيش از شما بودند قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود، و آنان كه پس از ايشان بودند. آنها را جز خدا كسى نمى‏داند پيامبرانشان با [معجزات‏] آشكار بر ايشان آمدند. پس دستهايشان را [براى ساكت ساختن رسولان ما] به سوى دهنهايشان بردند و گفتند: بى‏گمان ما كافر شديم بر آنچه شما بر آن فرستاده شديد و بى‏گمان ما در شكّيم و دو دل بدانچه ما را بدان مى‏خوانيد.

آيا نيامد شما را خبر آنان كه بودند پيش از شما قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنان كه بودند بعد از ايشان نمى داند ايشانرا مگر خدا آمد ايشان را رسولانشان با معجزات پس برگردانيدند دستهاشان را در دهنهاشان و گفتند بدرستيكه ما كافر شديم بآنچه فرستاده شديد بآن و بدرستيكه ما در شكيم از آنچه مى‏خوانيد ما را بآن كه بگمان بد اندازنده است

آيا خبر آنان كه پيش از شما بودند، [مانند] قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و كسانى كه پس از آنان بودند- [كه‏] جز خداوند آنان را نمى‏شناسد- به شما نرسيده است؟ رسولانشان با معجزه‏ها به نزد آنان آمدند، آن گاه دستانشان را در دهانهايشان نهادند [كه خاموش!] و گفتند: ما به آنچه كه به آن رسالت يافته‏ايد، منكريم. و ما از آنچه ما را به آن فرا مى‏خوانيد سخت در شكّ هستيم

آیا خبر کسانی که پیش از شما بودند، به شما نرسید؟! «قوم نوح» و «عاد» و «ثمود» و آنها که پس از ایشان بودند؛ همانها که جز خداوند از آنان آگاه نیست؛ پیامبرانشان دلایل روشن برای آنان آوردند، ولی آنها (از روی تعجّب و استهزا) دست بر دهان گرفتند و گفتند: «ما به آنچه شما به آن فرستاده شده‌اید، کافریم! و نسبت به آنچه ما را به سوی آن می‌خوانید، شکّ و تردید داریم!»

آيا خبر كسانى كه پيش از شما بودند، قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود، و كسانى كه پس از آنها آمدند، كه جز خدا كسى از آنان آگاهى [كامل‏] ندارد، به شما نرسيده است؟ پيامبرانشان با دلايل روشن بديشان آمدند، پس دستهاشان را در دهنهاشان باز گرداندند و گفتند: ما به آنچه بدان فرستاده شده‏ايد كافريم، و ما در باره آنچه ما را به آن مى‏خوانيد سخت به شك اندريم.

آيا نيامد شما را خبر آنان كه بودند پيش از شما قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنان كه بودند بعد از ايشان نمى‏داند ايشان را مگر خدا آمد ايشان را رسولانشان با معجزات پس برگردانيدند دستهاشان را در دهنهاشان و گفتند بدرستى كه ما كافر شديم بانچه فرستاده شديد بان و بدرستى كه ما در شكيم از آنچه مى‏خوانيد ما را بان كه بگمان بد اندازنده است

آيا نرسيد به شما داستان آنان كه پيش از شما بودند قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنان كه پس از ايشان بودند نداندشان جز خدا بيامدشان فرستادگان ايشان به نشانيها پس بازگردانيدند دستهاى خويش را در دهانهاى خود و گفتند همانا كفر ورزيديم بدانچه فرستاده شده ايد بدان و همانا مائيم در شكى از آنچه ما را بدان خوانيد شك آورنده

آیا اخبار بسیاری از پیشینیان شما مانند قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و اقوام بعد از اینها که جز خدا کسی بر احوالشان آگاه نیست به شما نرسیده که پیغمبرانشان آیات و معجزات روشن بر آنها آوردند و آنها (از تعجب و خشم) دست به دهان فرو برده می‌گفتند که ما به هر چه شما پیغمبران مأمور تبلیغ آن هستید کافریم و هم در آنچه شما ما را بدان دعوت می‌کنید شک و تردید داریم.

آيا درباره كساني كه پيش از شما بودند، نشنيده‌ايد؟ قوم نوح، عاد، ثمود و ديگران كه پس از آنها آمدند و فقط خدا از آنها آگاهي دارد. رسولانشان با مدرک هاي روشن نزد آنها رفتند، اما آنها با اهانت با آنان رفتار کردند و گفتند: ما به آنچه شما بدان رسالت داريد، ايمان نداريم. در پيام شما ترديد داريم؛ پر از شك.

Did not information/news (of) those from before you come to you, nation (of) Noah and Aad and Thamud and those from after them? No (one) knows them except God, their messengers came to them with the evidences, so they returned their hands in their mouths (they bit their fingers from anger), and they said: «We have disbelieved with what you were sent with it, and we are in (E) doubtful/suspicious doubt/suspicion from what you call us to it.»

Has not the news reached you, of those before you, the people of Nooh (Noah), and Ad, and Thamud? And those after them? None knows them but Allah. To them came their Messengers with clear proofs, but they put their hands in their mouths (biting them from anger) and said: «Verily, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and we are really in grave doubt as to that to which you invite us (i.e. Islamic Monotheism).»

Has there not come to you the tidings of those who were before you — the people of Noah, Ad, Thamood, and of those after them whom none knows but God? Their Messengers came to them with the clear signs; but they thrust their hands into their mouths, saying, ‹We certainly disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with, and we are in doubt, concerning that you call us unto, disquieting.›

HAVE THE STORIES of those [deniers of the truth] who lived before you never yet come within your ken – [the stories of] the people of Noah, and of [the tribes of] `Ad and Thamud, and of those who came after them? None knows them [now] save God.9 There came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth -but they covered their mouths with their hands» and answered: «Behold, we refuse to regard as true the message with which you [claim to] have been entrusted; and, behold, we are .in grave doubt, amounting to suspicion, about [the meaning of] your call to us!»

Hebt gij de geschiedenis der volkeren, uwe voorgangers, niet gehoord? namelijk van het volk van Noach, en van Ad en van Thamoed en van degenen die hen opvolgden. Wier getal niemand kent, behalve God? Hunne gezanten kwamen tot hem met duidelijke wonderen; maar zij brachten hunne handen aan hunne monden uit verontwaardiging, en zeiden: Wij gelooven de boodschap niet, waarmede gij voorgeeft belast te zijn, en wij verkeeren in twijfel nopens den godsdienst waartoe gij ons uitnoodigt.

Did not news come to you of those before you: the people of Noah, and ‹Aad, and Thamud, and those after them whom none know but God? Their messengers came to them with clarity, but they placed their hands to their mouths and said: "We are rejecting what you have been sent with, and we are in grave doubt as to what you are inviting us to."

Non vi è giunta notizia di quelli [che vissero] prima di voi, del popolo di Noè, degli ‹Âd e dei Thamûd, e di quelli che vennero dopo e che Allah solo conosce? Vennero i loro profeti con prove chiarissime, ma essi dissero, portandosi le mani alla bocca: &laqno; Non crediamo in quello con cui siete stati inviati. E siamo in dubbio profondissimo circa quello che ci proponete».

Has not the news reached you, of those before you, the people of Nooh (Noah), and Ad, and Thamud? And those after them? None knows them but Allah. To them came their Messengers with clear proofs, but they put their hands in their mouths (biting them from anger) and said: "Verily, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and we are really in grave doubt as to that to which you invite us (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)."

Разве до вас не дошли вести о народе Нуха (Ноя), адитах и самудянах? И тех, кто жил после них? Никто, кроме Аллаха, не ведает о них. К ним приходили посланники с ясными знамениями, но они клали пальцы в рот и говорили: «Мы не веруем в то, с чем вы посланы, и нас терзают смутные сомнения относительно того, к чему вы призываете».

Разве вы не слышали вести о народе Нуха, о племенах ‹ад и самуд и тех, кто жил раньше вас? Никто, кроме Аллаха, и не ведает [о том, что с ними случилось]. К ним приходили посланники с явными знамениями, но они прикладывали ладони к устам и говорили: «Мы отвергаем то, с чем вы посланы, и мы, воистину, в сомнении и колебании относительно того, к чему вы призываете».

Has not the account reached you of those before you, of the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood, and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their messengers come to them with clear arguments, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: Surely we deny that with which you are sent, and most surely we are in serious doubt as to that to which you invite us.

Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A’ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us.

Has not the story come to you of those who were before you, of the people of Noah, and ‹Ad, and Thamud, and those who came after them? none knows them save God. Apostles came unto them with manifest signs; but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said, ‹Verily, we disbelieve in that which ye are sent with, and we are in hesitating doubt concerning that to which ye call us!›

Sizden öncekilerin, Nûh kavminin, Âd’ın, Semûd’un ve onlardan sonrakilerin haberleri ulaşmadı mı size? Allah’tan başkası bilmez onları. Peygamberleri onlara açık deliller getirmişti de onlar ellerini ağızlarına itip şöyle demişlerdi: «Biz size gönderileni kesinlikle tanımıyoruz ve biz sizin çağırdığınız şey konusunda karmaşa ve çıkmaza iten bir kuşku içindeyiz.»

Have you not heard what befell the nations that have gone before you? The nations of Noah, Aad, and Thamood, and those who came after? None knows them but Allah. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: ‹Without doubt we disbelieve the Message you have been sent with. That which you call us to is disquieting. ‹

«Has not the history of the previous nations reached you? Of Noah and Aad and Thamud, and others who came after them, known only to Allah? (Their histories not known to people). Their Messengers came to them with clear evidence of the Truth, but the people tried to smother their voice, saying, «We reject what you have been sent with. We are in great doubt concerning your call.»

Have you not heard about those before you – the people of Noah, `Aad, Thamoud, and others who came after them and known only to GOD? Their messengers went to them with clear proofs, but they treated them with contempt and said, «We disbelieve in what you are sent with. We are skeptical about your message; full of doubt.»

Hath not the story reached you of those who were before you, the people of Noah, and Ad, and Themoud, And of those who lived after them? None knoweth them but God. When their prophets came to them with proofs of their mission, they put their hands on their mouths and said, «In sooth, we believe not your message; and in sooth, of that to which you bid us, we are in doubt, as of a thing suspicious.»

Hath not the history of the nations your predecessors reached you; namely, of the people of Noah, and of Ad, and of Thamud, and of those who succeeded them; whose number none knoweth except God? Their Apostles came unto them with evident miracles; but they clapped their hands to their mouths out of indignation, and said, we do not believe the message with which ye pretend to be sent; and we are in a doubt concerning the religion to which ye invite us, as justly to be suspected.

Have not the tidings come to you of those before you, the people of Noah and the tribes of Ad and Thamud and those after them ? None knows them now save ALLAH. Their Messengers came to them with clear Signs, but they trust their hands into their mouths and said, `We disbelieve in what you have sent with and surely, we are disquieting doubt concerning that to which you call us.›

Kam nicht zu euch die Kunde von jenen, die vor euch waren, von dem Volk Noahs und (den Stämmen) Àd und Thamüd, und von denen, die nach ihnen lebten? Niemand kennt sie außer Allah. Ihre Gesandten kamen zu ihnen mit deutlichen Zeichen, jedoch sie hielten ihnen die Hände vor den Mund und sprachen: «Wir glauben nicht an das, womit ihr gesandt seid, und wir sind fürwahr in beunruhigendem Zweifel über das, wozu ihr uns auffordert.»

Неужто не пришел вам сказ о тех, ■ Которые до вас (грешили): ■ О людях Нуха, Ад, Самуд ■ И тех, что были после них? ■ Не знает их никто, кроме Аллаха. ■ К ним с ясными знаменьями от Нас ■ (Из них самих) посланники являлись; ■ Они ж к устам своим протягивали руки, ■ (Персты кусая от досады), ■ И говорили: ■ «Мы не верим в то, с чем посланы вы к нам. ■ Мы в тягостных сомнениях о том, ■ К чему вы нас зовете».

Әйә сезгә килмәдеме? Сездән элек килеп киткән Нух, Гад вә Сәмуд каумләренең хәбәрләре, Аллаһ аларны хәбәр итте вә алардан соң килгән каумләрнең дә хәбәре килмәдеме? Ул соңгы һәлак булган каумнең санын Аллаһудан башка зат белмәс, аларның рәсүлләре дәлилләр вә могҗизалар белән килде, алар рәсүлләренә ачуланып бармакларын тешләделәр һәм әйттеләр: «Сезгә җибәрелгән аятьләргә, әлбәттә, ышанмыйбыз вә сез Аңа гыйбадәт кылырга өндәгән Аллаһ хакында шикләнәбез».

بھلا تم کو ان لوگوں (کے حالات) کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے تھے (یعنی) نوح اور عاد اور ثمود کی قوم۔ اور جو ان کے بعد تھے۔ جن کا علم خدا کے سوا کسی کو نہیں (جب) ان کے پاس پیغمبر نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ ان کے مونہوں پر رکھ دیئے (کہ خاموش رہو) اور کہنے لگے کہ ہم تو تمہاری رسالت کو تسلیم نہیں کرتے اور جس چیز کی طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو ہم اس سے قوی شک میں ہیں

کیا تمہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں، (وہ) قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود (کی قوموں کے لوگ) تھے اور (کچھ) لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا (کیونکہ وہ صفحۂ ہستی سے بالکل نیست و نابود ہو چکے ہیں)، ان کے پاس ان کے رسول واضح نشانیوں کے ساتھ آئے تھے پس انہوں نے (اَز راہِ تمسخر و عناد) اپنے ہاتھ اپنے مونہوں میں ڈال لئے اور (بڑی جسارت کے ساتھ) کہنے لگے: ہم نے اس (دین) کا انکار کر دیا جس کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو اور یقیناً ہم اس چیز کی نسبت اضطراب انگیز شک میں مبتلا ہیں جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو،
