وَ لَوْ لا إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ ما شاءَ اللَّهُ لا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ إِنْ تَرَنِ أَنَا أَقَلَّ مِنْكَ مالاً وَ وَلَداً

و لو لا إذ دخلت جنّتك قلت ما شاء اللّه لا قوّة إلاّ باللّه إن ترن أنا أقلّ منك مالا و ولدا

Walawla ith dakhalta jannataka qulta ma shaa Allahu la quwwata illa biAllahi in tarani ana aqalla minka malan wawaladan

چرا آنگاه که به باغ خود در آمدي نگفتي : هر چه خداوند خواهد ، و هيچ ، نيرويي جز نيروي او نيست ؟ اگر مي بيني که دارايي و فرزند من کمتر از تو است ،

و چرا چون وارد باغت شدى، نگفتى «ما شاء الله لا قوة الا بالله»، اگر مرا كم مال تر و كم زاد و رودتر مى بينى.

وانگهى وقتى تو داخل باغ شدى چرا نگفتى، ما شاء اللَّه؟ جز قدرت خدا هيچ قدرتى نيست. اگر مى‏بينى كه من از لحاظ مال و ثروت و اولاد از تو كمترم.

و چرا وقتی به باغ خود، وارد شدی، نگفتی: آنچه خدا بخواهد [صورت می پذیرد] و هیچ نیرویی جز به وسیله خدا نیست؛ اگر مرا از جهت ثروت و فرزند کمتر از خودت می بینی.

و چرا آنگه كه در آمدى در بوستان خود نگفتى (اين دو بوستان) آن چيزى است كه خواسته است خدا نيست هيچ نيروئى مگر به (اقدار و تمكين) خدا اگر مى‏بينى مرا كمتر از خود از نظر مال و فرزند

و چون داخل باغت شدى، چرا نگفتى: ماشاء الله، نيرويى جز به [قدرت‏] خدا نيست. اگر مرا از حيث مال و فرزند كمتر از خود مى‏بينى،

چرا هنگامى كه وارد باغت شدى نگفتى هيچ قدرتى جز قدرت خدا نيست و اراده اراده اوست؟ اگر مى‏بينى كه مال و فرزند من از تو كمتر است

و چون به بوستان خويش در آمدى، چرا نگفتى، هر چه را خدا بخواهد [همان شود]، و نيرويى نيست مگر خداوند را؟ اگر چند تو مرا [چنين‏] بينى كه به مال و فرزند از تو كمترم.

و چرا هنگاميكه داخل شدى بر بوستانت نگفتى آنچه خواست خدا نيست قوتى مگر بخدا اگر بينى مرا كه من كمترم از تو در مال و فرزند

و چون وارد باغت شدى چرا نگفتى «ما شاء اللَّه، لا قوة الا باللَّه»، اگر مرا در مال و فرزند كمتر از خود مى‏بينى

چرا هنگامی که وارد باغت شدی، نگفتی این نعمتی است که خدا خواسته است؟! قوّت (و نیرویی) جز از ناحیه خدا نیست! و اگر می‌بینی من از نظر مال و فرزند از تو کمترم (مطلب مهمّی نیست)!

و چرا آنگاه كه به بوستانت در آمدى نگفتى: هر چه خداى خواهد [همان شود]، هيچ نيرويى نيست مگر به خداى؟ اگر مرا به مال و فرزند كمتر از خود مى‏بينى،

و چرا هنگامى كه داخل شدى بر بوستانت نگفتى آنچه خواست خدا نيست قوتى مگر بخدا اگر بينى مرا كه من كمترم از تو در مال و فرزند

و چرا گاهى كه در باغ خويش درآمدى نگفتى چه خواسته است خدا نيست نيروئى جز با خدا اگر مرا بينى كمترم از تو درخواسته و فرزند

و تو چرا وقتی به باغ خود درآمدی نگفتی که همه چیز به خواست خداست و جز قدرت خدا قوه‌ای نیست؟اگر تو مرا از خود به مال و فرزند کمتر دانی (به خود مغرور مشو که).

تو بايد هنگامي كه وارد باغ خود مي شدي، مي گفتي: اين است آنچه كه خدا به من داده است (ماشاء الله). هيچ كس جز خدا قدرتي ندارد (لاقوة الا بالله). شايد ببيني كه من كمتر از تو پول و فرزند دارم.

And if only when you entered your treed garden, you said: ‹What God willed/wanted! No strength/power except by God,› if you see me, I am less/fewer than you (in) property/possession/wealth and children .202

It was better for you to say, when you entered your garden: That which Allah wills (will come to pass)! There is no power but with Allah . If you see me less than you in wealth, and children.

Why, when thou wentest into thy garden, didst thou not say, «As God will; there is no power except in God»? If thou seest me, that I am less than thou in wealth and children,

And [he continued:] «Alas,› if thou hadst but said, on entering thy garden, `Whatever God wills [shall come to pass, for] there is no power save with God!› Although, as thou seest, I have less wealth and offspring than thou,

En als gij uwen tuin binnentreedt, zult gij dan niet zeggen: Wat God behaagt, zal geschieden; er is geene macht buiten God. Hoewel gij ziet, dat ik in rijkdom en getal van kinderen onder u sta.

"And if you enter your garden, you should have said: "This is what God has given, there is no power except by God." You see me as being less than you in wealth and in children?"

Conveniva che entrando nel tuo giardino dicessi: «Così Allah ha voluto! Non c’è potenza se non in Allah!» Sebbene tu mi veda inferiore a te nei beni e nei figli

It was better for you to say, when you entered your garden: That which Allah wills (will come to pass)! There is no power but with Allah . If you see me less than you in wealth, and children.

Почему, войдя в свой сад, ты не сказал: «Так пожелал Аллах! Нет мощи, кроме как от Аллаха!» Ты считаешь, что у меня меньше богатства и детей, чем у тебя,

Почему же ты, когда вошел в виноградник, не сказал: «Это то, чего возжелал Аллах, и нет мощи, кроме как от Аллаха» ? Если ты считаешь, что я беднее тебя имуществом и детьми,

And wherefore did you not say when you entered your garden: It is as Allah has pleased, there is no power save in Allah? If you consider me to be inferior to you in wealth and children,

If only, when thou enteredst thy garden, thou hadst said: That which Allah willeth (will come to pass)! There is no strength save in Allah! Though thou seest me as less than thee in wealth and children,

Why couldst thou not have said, when thou didst go into thy garden, «What God pleases! there is no power save in God,» – to look at, I am less than thee in wealth and children;

«Bağına girdiğinde, ‹Mâşallah, kuvvet yalnız Allah’tandır!› desen olmaz mıydı? Gerçi sen beni, malca ve evlatça senden basit görüyorsun ama,

When you entered your garden why did you not say: «If Allah wills; there is no power except by Allah.» Though you see me lesser than yourself in wealth and children,

And he continued, «Alas, when you entered your garden, you should have said, ‹This is what Allah has given me according to His Laws for no one has Power but Allah.› You see that I have less wealth and fewer children than you.» (Still I associate no one with Him).

«When you entered your garden, you should have said, `This is what GOD has given me (Maa Shaa Allah). No one possesses power except GOD (La Quwwata Ellaa Bellaah).› You may see that I possess less money and less children than you.

And why didst thou not say when thou enteredst thy garden, ‹What God willeth! There is no power but in God.› Though thou seest that I have less than thou of wealth and children,

And when thou enterest thy garden, wilt thou not say, what God pleaseth shall come to pass; there is no power but in God alone? Although thou seest me to be inferior to thee in wealth and number of children,

`And why didst thou not say when thou didst enter thy garden, `Only that which ALLAH wills comes to pass. There is no power save in ALLAH,› if thou seest me as less than thyself in riches and offspring;

Warum hast du nicht damals, als du deinen Garten betratest, gesagt: «Wie Allah will; es gibt keine Macht, außer bei Allah»? Wenn du mich auch geringer siehst als dich selbst an Besitz und Nachkommenschaft,

И что ж тебе не говорить, входя в свой сад: ■ «На все Господня воля! ■ И лишь с Аллахом мощь (моя)!»? ■ Если (сегодня) видишь ты меня ■ Бедней себя деньгами и детьми,

Бакчаңа кергәндә Аллаһ теләгән эш була вә һичбер эшне кылырга куәт юк, мәгәр Аллаһ ярдәм бирсә генә куәт була дип керсәң иде. Әгәр син мине мал вә бала җәһеттән үзеңнән ким күрсәң.

اور (بھلا) جب تم اپنے باغ میں داخل ہوئے تو تم نے ماشاالله لاقوة الابالله کیوں نہ کہا۔ اگر تم مجھے مال واولاد میں اپنے سے کمتر دیکھتے ہو

اور جب تو اپنے باغ میں داخل ہوا تو تو نے کیوں نہیں کہا: ”ما شاء اﷲ لا قوۃ اِلا باﷲ“ (وہی ہونا ہے جو اﷲ چاہے کسی کو کچھ طاقت نہیں مگر اﷲ کی مدد سے)، اگر تو (اِس وقت) مجھے مال و اولاد میں اپنے سے کم تر دیکھتا ہے (تو کیا ہوا)،
