وَ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَناتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَداءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَ لا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهادَةً أَبَداً وَ أُولئِكَ هُمُ الْفاسِقُونَ

و الّذين يرمون المحصنات ثمّ لم يأتوا بأربعة شهداء فاجلدوهم ثمانين جلدة و لا تقبلوا لهم شهادة أبدا و أولئك هم الفاسقون

Waallatheena yarmoona almuhsanati thumma lam ya/too bi-arbaAAati shuhadaa faijlidoohum thamaneena jaldatan wala taqbaloo lahum shahadatan abadan waola-ika humu alfasiqoona

کساني را که زنان عفيف را به زنا متهم مي کنند و چهار شاهد نمي آورند ،هشتاد ضربه بزنيد ، و از آن پس هرگز شهادتشان را نپذيريد که مردمي فاسقند

و كسانى كه به زنان پاكدامن تهمت [زن] مى زنند، سپس چهار شاهد نمى آورند، ايشان را هشتاد تازيانه بزنيد، و ديگر هرگز شهادت آنان را قبول نكنيد، و اينانند كه فاسقند.

كسانى كه به زنان شوهردار و نجيب افترا زنند و نسبت زنا دهند و (براى اثبات آن) چهار نفر شاهد نياوردند، آنها را به هشتاد تازيانه تنبيه‏شان كنيد و شهادت آنها را در هيچ موردى قبول نكنيد. آنان اشخاص فاسق و بدكار هستند.

و کسانی که زنان عفیفه پاکدامن را به زنا متهم می کنند، سپس چهار شاهد نمی آورند، پس به آنان هشتاد تازیانه بزنید، و هرگز شهادتی را از آنان نپذیرید، و اینانند که در حقیقت فاسق اند.

و آنانكه نسبت زنا مى‏دهند بزنان پاكدامن سپس نياوردند چهار گواه (عادل) پس بزنيد به آن نسبت دهندگان هشتاد ضربه تازيانه و نپذيريد از ايشان گواهى را (در هيچ حكمى) هيچگاه و تنها آن گروه فاسقند

و كسانى كه نسبت زنا به زنان شوهردار مى‏دهند، سپس چهار گواه نمى‏آورند، هشتاد تازيانه به آنان بزنيد، و هيچگاه شهادتى از آنها نپذيريد، و اينانند كه خود فاسقند.

كسانى را كه زنان پاكدامن را متهم مى‏كنند و نمى‏توانند چهار شاهد بياورند، هشتاد تازيانه بزنيد و هرگز شهادتشان را نپذيريد كه آنها فاسقند

و آن كسان كه زنان پاكيزه را نسبت زنا دهند، پس از آن چهار گواه نيارند، پس ايشان را هشتاد تازيانه بزنيد و هرگز گواهى ايشان را مپذيريد. و آنان‏اند كه فاسقانند

و آنان كه نسبت زنا دهند بزنان با عفت پس نياوردند چهار گواه پس بزنيد ايشانرا هشتاد تازيانه و قبول نكنيد ايشانرا گواهى هرگز و آنگروه ايشانند فاسقان

و كسانى كه به زنان پرهيزگار نسبت زنا مى‏دهند، آن گاه چهار گواه نمى‏آورند، به آنان هشتاد تازيانه بزنيد و هيچگاه شهادت آنان را نپذيريد و ايشانند كه فاسق‏اند

و کسانی که آنان پاکدامن را متهمّ می‌کنند، سپس چهار شاهد (بر مدّعای خود) نمی‌آورند ، آنها را هشتاد تازیانه بزنید و شهادتشان را هرگز نپذیرید؛ و آنها همان فاسقانند!

و كسانى كه زنان پاكدامن را به زنا نسبت دهند آنگاه چهار گواه نياورند پس هشتاد تازيانه بزنيدشان و هرگز گواهى آنها را نپذيريد، و آنانند بدكاران نافرمان

و آنان كه نسبت زنا دهند بزنان باعفت پس نياوردند چهار گواه پس بزنيد ايشان را هشتاد تازيانه و قبول نكنيد ايشان را گواهى هرگز و آنگروه ايشانند فاسقان

و آنان كه پرتاب كنند بسوى زنان پارسا و سپس نيارند چهار تن گواهان پس بزنيدشان هشتاد تازيانه و نپذيريد براى ايشان گواهيى هيچگاه و آنانند نافرمانان

و آنان که به زنان با عفت مؤمنه نسبت زنا دهند آن‌گاه چهار شاهد (عادل) بر دعوی خود نیاورند آنان را به هشتاد تازیانه کیفر دهید، و دیگر هرگز شهادت آنها را نپذیرید، و آنان مردمی فاسق و نادرستند.

كساني را كه به زنان شوهردار تهمت زناكاري مي ‌زنند، سپس نمي ‌توانند چهار شاهد بياورند، هشتاد تازيانه بزنيد و هيچ شهادتي را از آنها نپذيريد؛ آنها پليد هستند.

And those who blame and accuse the chaste/married then they did not come with witnesses/testifiers ,so whip/lash them eighty whip(s)/lash(es), and do not accept for them a testimony/certification , ever (E), and those are the debauchers .

And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever, they indeed are the Fasiqoon (liars, rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

And those who cast it up on women in wedlock, and then bring not four witnesses, scourge them with eighty stripes, and do not accept any testimony of theirs ever; those — they are the ungodly,

And as for those who accuse chaste women [of adultery], [The term rnuhsanat denotes literally «women who are fortified [against unchastity]», i.e., by marriage and/or faith and self-respect, implying that, from a legal point of view, every woman must he considered chaste unless a conclusive proof to the contrary is produced. (The passage relates to women other than the accusers own wife, for in the latter case – as shown in verses 6 – 9 – the law of evidence and the consequences are different.] and then are unable to produce four witnesses [in support of their accusation], flog them with eighty stripes [By obvious implication, this injunction applies also to cases where a woman accuses a man of illicit sexual intercourse, and is subsequently unable to prove her accusation legally. The severity of the punishment to be meted out in such cases, as well as the requirement of four witnesses – instead of the two that Islamic Law regards as sufficient in all other criminal and civil suits – is based on the imperative necessity of preventing slander and off-hand accusations. As laid down in several authentic sayings of the Prophet, the evidence of the four witnesses must be direct, and not merely circumstantial: in other words, it is not sufficient for them to have witnessed a situation which made it evident that sexual intercourse was taking or had taken place: they must have witnessed the sexual act as such, and must be able to prove this to the entire satisfaction of the judicial authority (Razi, summing up the views of the greatest exponents of Islamic Law). Since such a complete evidence is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to obtain, it is obvious that the purpose of the above Quranic injunction is to preclude, in practice, all third-party accusations relating to illicit sexual intercourse – for, «man has been created weak»

Zij die eerbare vrouwen van overspel beschuldigen, en geene vier getuigen tot staving van het feit kunnen aanwijzen zullen met vier en tachtig zweepslagen worden gestraft. Neem daarenboven hunne getuigenis nimmermeer aan; want zij zijn ellendige misleiders.

And those who accuse the independent women and they do not bring forth four witnesses, then you shall lash them eighty lashes and do not ever accept their testimony. Those indeed are the evildoers.

E coloro che accusano le donne oneste senza produrre quattro testimoni, siano fustigati con ottanta colpi di frusta e non sia mai più accettata la loro testimonianza. Essi sono i corruttori,

And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever, they indeed are the Fasiqoon (liars, rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses, flog them, (giving) eighty stripes, and do not admit any evidence from them ever; and these it is that are the transgressors,

And those who accuse honourable women but bring not four witnesses, scourge them (with) eighty stripes and never (afterward) accept their testimony – They indeed are evil-doers –

but those who cast (imputations) on chaste women and then do not bring four witnesses, scourge them with eighty stripes, and do not receive any testimony of theirs ever, for these are the workers of abomination.

İffetli kadınlara iftira atıp da dört tanık getirmeyenlere gelince, onlara hemen seksen vuruş vurun. Ve onların tanıklıklarını asla kabul etmeyin. Onlar, sapmışların ta kendileridir.

Those who accuse chaste women, and cannot produce four witnesses, you shall lash them with eighty lashes. And never accept their testimony, for they are evildoers,

(Protecting the honor of a woman is extremely important.) Those who accuse chaste women and then fail to produce four witnesses (the court of law shall order) eighty lashes to such accusers (24:23). And, never in the future accept their testimony. They indeed have drifted away from morality. (Fasiq = One who drifts away from -from what? Will depend on the context).

Those who accuse married women of adultery, then fail to produce four witnesses, you shall whip them eighty lashes, and do not accept any testimony from them; they are wicked.

They who defame virtuous women, and bring not four witnesses, scourge them with fourscore stripes, and receive ye not their testimony for ever, for these are perverse persons –

But as to those who accuse women of reputation of whoredom, and produce not four witnesses of the fact, scourge them with fourscore stripes, and receive not their testimony for ever; for such are infamous prevaricators:

And those who culminate chaste woman but bring not four witnesses – flog them with eighty stripes, and do not admit their evidence ever after, for it is they that are the transgression,

Und diejenigen, die züchtige Frauen verleumden, jedoch nicht vier Zeugen beibringen – geißelt sie mit achtzig Streichen und lasset ihre Aussage niemals gelten, denn sie sind es, die ruchlose Frevler sind,

А те, кто клевету возводит на целомудренных девиц ■ И не представит четырех свидетелей (греха их), – ■ Побить кнутом их восемьдесят раз ■ И никогда свидетельства от них не принимать, – ■ Они ведь нечестивы и распутны.

Зинадан пакь булган хатыннарны зиначы дип сүгүчеләр, соңра сүзләрен дөресләр өчен дүрт шаһидне китерә алмасалар – аларга сиксән мәртәбә сугыгыз, вә аларның шаһид булуларын мәңге кабул итмәгез, алар – фасыйклардыр.

اور جو لوگ پرہیزگار عورتوں کو بدکاری کا عیب لگائیں اور اس پر چار گواہ نہ لائیں تو ان کو اسی درے مارو اور کبھی ان کی شہادت قبول نہ کرو۔ اور یہی بدکردار ہیں

اور جو لوگ پاک دامن عورتوں پر (بدکاری کی) تہمت لگائیں پھر چار گواہ پیش نہ کر سکیں تو تم انہیں (سزائے قذف کے طور پر) اسّی کوڑے لگاؤ اور کبھی بھی ان کی گواہی قبول نہ کرو، اور یہی لوگ بدکردار ہیں،
