وَ لَوْ لا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ وَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ

و لو لا فضل اللّه عليكم و رحمته و أنّ اللّه توّاب حكيم

Walawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu waanna Allaha tawwabun hakeemun

چه مي شد اگر فضل و رحمتي که خدا بر شما ارزاني داشته است نمي بود ؟ واگر نه اين بود که خدا توبه پذير و حکيم است ؟

و اگر بخشش و بخشايش الهى و رحمت او بر شما نباشد و اينكه خداوند توبه پذير فرزانه است [كار بر شما دشوار مى گردد].

و اگر فضل و رحمت خدا شامل شما نبود (هر آينه اعمال قبيح شما را پرده پوشى نميكرد) و اينكه خدا توبه‏پذير و با حكمت است.

و اگر فضل و رحمت خدا بر شما نبود، و اینکه خدا بسیار توبه پذیر و حکیم است [به کیفرهای بسیار سختی دچار می شدید.]

و اگر نبود فضل خدا بر شما و بخشايش وى و آنكه خدا توبه پذير و حكيم است (هلاكتان مى‏كرد)

و اگر فضل و رحمت خدا بر شما نبود و اينكه خدا توبه‏پذير سنجيده‏كار است [رسوا مى‏شديد].

اگر فضل و رحمت خدا نبود (كارتان دشوار بود) او توبه پذير فرزانه است.

و اگر نبود فضل خدا بر شما و رحمت او [البتّه هلاك مى‏شديد]، و خدا توبه پذير استوار كار است.

و اگر نبود فضل خدا بر شما و رحمت او و اينكه خدا توبه پذير و درستكردار است

و اگر فضل خدا و رحمت او بر شما نمى‏بود و آنكه خداوند توبه پذير فرزانه است [چه‏ها كه نمى‏شد؟]

و اگر فضل و رحمت خدا شامل حال شما نبود و اینکه او توبه‌پذیر و حکیم است (بسیاری از شما گرفتار مجازات سخت الهی می‌شدید)!

و اگر فضل خدا و مِهر و بخشايش او بر شما نبود- كه بر شما آسان مى‏گيرد و گناهتان را مى‏پوشاند- و اينكه خدا توبه‏پذير و با حكمت است [احكامى سخت بر شما مقرر مى‏داشت و بر كيفر شما در دنيا شتاب مى‏كرد].

و اگر نبود فضل خدا بر شما و رحمت او و اينكه خدا توبه پذير و درستكردار است

و اگر نبود فضل خدا بر شما و رحمتش و آنكه خدا است توبه پذيرنده حكيم

و اگر فضل و رحمت خدا شامل حال شما مؤمنان نبود و اگر نه این بود که خدای مهربان البته توبه‌پذیر است و کار به حکمت کند (حدود و تکلیف را چنین آسان نمی‌گرفت و به توبه رفع عذاب از شما نمی‌کرد).

اين موهبت و رحمت خداست بر شما. خدا آمرزنده است، حكيم‌ترين.

And where it not for God’s grace/blessing on you and His mercy, and that God (is) forgiving, wise/judicious.

And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you (He would have hastened the punishment upon you)! And that Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, the All-Wise.

But for God’s bounty to you and His mercy and that God turns, and is All-wise —

AND WERE it not for God’s favour upon you, [O man,] and His grace, and that God is a wise acceptor of repentance…! [This sentence, which introduces the section dealing with the condemnation of all unfounded or unproven accusations of unchastity – as well as the similar sentence which closes it in verse 20 – is deliberately left incomplete, leaving it to man to imagine what would have happened to individual lives and to society if God had not ordained all the above-mentioned legal and moral safeguards against possibly false accusations, or if He had made a proof of adultery dependent on mere circumstantial evidence. This idea is further elaborated in verses 14 -15.]

Indien het niet ware dat God inschikkelijk, en genadig omtrent u is, en vergevingsgezind en wijs, zou hij onmiddellijk uwe misdaden straffen.

All this is from God’s favour upon you and His mercy. And God is Forgiving, Wise.

Se non fosse per la grazia di Allah nei vostri confronti e per la Sua misericordia…! Allah è Colui che accetta il pentimento, il Saggio.

And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you (He would have hastened the punishment upon you)! And that Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, the All-Wise.

Если бы не милосердие и милость Аллаха к вам и если бы Аллах не был Принимающим покаяния и Мудрым, то лжецов постигло бы скорое наказание.

Если бы не благоволение и милость Аллаха к вам, [о люди, Он ускорил бы вам наказание]. И, воистину, Аллах – прощающий, мудрый.

And were it not for Allah’s grace upon you and His mercy– and that Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), Wise!

And had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, and that Allah is Clement, Wise, (ye had been undone).

And were it not for God’s grace upon you and His mercy, and that God is relenting, wise …

Allah’ın lütuf ve rahmeti üzerinizde olmasaydı neylerdiniz! Ve hiç kuşku yok, Allah Tevvâb’dır, Hakîm’dir.

If it were not for the bounty of Allah to you and His Mercy, and that Allah turns, and is the Wise,

And were it not for Allah’s Favor upon you and His Grace upon you, and that Allah is Clement, Wise,

This is GOD’s grace and mercy towards you. GOD is Redeemer, Most Wise.

And but for the goodness and mercy of God towards you, and that God is He who loveth to turn, Wise . . . . !

If it were not for the indulgence of God towards you, and his mercy, and that God is easy to be reconciled, and wise; He would immediately discover your crimes.

And were it not for ALLAH’s grace and HIS mercy upon you, and that ALLAH is compassionate and Wise, you would have come to grief.

Wäre nicht Allahs Huld und Seine Barmherzigkeit über euch und (wäre es nicht) daß Allah vielvergebend, allweise ist (ihr wäret verloren gewesen).

И если б не Аллаха благость, ■ Не милосердие Его ■ И то, что мудр Он и внемлет ■ (Молитвам призывающих Его, – ■ Вы понесли б немедленную кару).

Әгәр сезгә Аллаһуның фазълы вә рәхмәте булмаса иде, әлбәттә, хөкемен ашыктырыр иде, бит Аллаһ тәүбәләрне кабул итүче хикмәт иясе.

اور اگر تم پر خدا کا فضل اور اس کی مہربانی نہ ہوتی تو بہت سی خرابیاں پیدا ہوجاتیں۔ مگر وہ صاحب کرم ہے اور یہ کہ خدا توبہ قبول کرنے والا حکیم ہے

اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی (تو تم ایسے حالات میں زیادہ پریشان ہوتے) اور بیشک اللہ بڑا ہی توبہ قبول فرمانے والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے،
