وَ لَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَ الأَْرْضَ وَ سَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَ الْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ فَأَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ

و لئن سألتهم من خلق السّماوات و الأرض و سخّر الشّمس و القمر ليقولنّ اللّه فأنّى يؤفكون

Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoona

اگر از آنها بپرسي : چه کسي آسمانها و زمين را آفريده و آفتاب و ماه ، رارام کرده است ؟ خواهند گفت : خداي يکتا پس ، از چه روي عقيدت ديگرگون مي کنند ؟

و اگر از ايشان بپرسى چه كسى آسمانها و زمين را آفريده است و خورشيد و ماه را رام كرده است، گويند خداوند; پس چگونه بيراهه مى روند؟

و اگر از مشركان بپرسى كه آسمانها و زمين را چه كسى آفريده و خورشيد و ماه تحت امر مستقيم كيست؟ به يقين خواهند گفت: خدا آنها را آفريده است. پس چرا (از راه حق و حقيقت) روى برميگردانند؟

اگر از آنان [که شرک می ورزند] بپرسی: چه کسی آسمان ها و زمین را آفریده و خورشید و ماه را رام و مسخّر کرده؟ بی تردید خواهند گفت: خدا. پس چگونه [از حق به باطل] منحرف می شوند؟!

و بعزتم سوگند اگر بپرسى از مشركان كه كيست كه آفريد آسمانها و زمين را و مسخر كرد خورشيد و ماه را قطعا خواهند گفت خدا پس (از يكتا پرستى) كجا برگردانيده مى‏شوند

و اگر از ايشان بپرسى: «چه كسى آسمانها و زمين را آفريده و خورشيد و ماه را [چنين‏] رام كرده است؟» حتماً خواهند گفت: «الله»؛ پس چگونه [از حق‏] بازگردانيده مى‏شوند؟

اگر از آنان بپرسى چه كسى آسمانها و زمين را آفريد و خورشيد و ماه را رام كرد خواهند گفت: «خدا». پس چگونه منحرف مى‏شوند؟

و اگر از آنها بپرسى كه آسمانها و زمين را كه آفريد و آفتاب و ماه را [كه‏] مسخر كرد گويند: خدا پس [ايشان‏] [از راه راست‏] چگونه باز گردانيده مى‏شوند.

و اگر بپرسى از ايشان كه كيست كه آفريد آسمانها و زمين را و مسخر كرد آفتاب و ماه را هر آينه گويند خدا پس بكجا رانده ميشوند

و اگر از آنان بپرسى، چه كسى آسمانها و زمين را آفريده و خورشيد و ماه را رام كرده است، البته گويند: خداوند. پس از چه جهت [از راه حقّ‏] گردانده مى‏شوند؟

و هر گاه از آنان بپرسی: «چه کسی آسمانها و زمین را آفریده، و خورشید و ماه را مسخّر کرده است؟» می‌گویند: «اللّه»! پس با این حال چگونه آنان را (از عبادت خدا) منحرف می‌سازند؟!

و اگر از آنان بپرسى: چه كسى آسمانها و زمين را آفريده و آفتاب و ماه را رام گردانيده هر آينه گويند: خداى. پس چگونه [از حق‏] رويگردان مى‏شوند؟

و اگر بپرسى از ايشان كه كيست كه آفريد آسمانها و زمين را و مسخر كرد آفتاب و ماه را هر آينه گويند خدا پس بكجا رانده ميشوند

و اگر پرسيشان كه آفريد آسمانها و زمين را و رام كرد مهر و ماه را هر آينه گويند خدا پس كجا به دروغ رانده مى شوند

و اگر از این کافران مشرک سؤال کنی که آسمانها و زمین را که آفریده و خورشید و ماه مسخر فرمان کیست؟به یقین جواب دهند که خدا (آفریده) ، پس چگونه (با این اقرار، از توحید و معرفت خدا) رویگردان می‌شوند؟

اگر از آنها سئوال کني: چه کسي آسمان ها و زمين را آفريد و خورشيد و ماه را در خدمت شما قرار داد، خواهند گفت: خدا. پس چرا به انحراف رفتند؟

And if (E) you asked/questioned them: «Who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and subjugated for you the sun and the moon?» They will say (E): «God .» So where/how (would) they be turned away ?

If you were to ask them: «Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?» They will surely reply: «Allah.» How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?

If thou askest them, ‹Who created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?› they will say, ‹God.› How then are they perverted?

And thus it is [with most people]: [Regarding my rendering of lain as «thus it is: if…,» etc., see note on 30:51. The people spoken of in the sequence are such as do acknowledge the existence of God but have only a vague idea as to what this acknowledgment implies on should imply.] if thou ask them, «Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth, and made the sun and the moon subservient [to His laws]?» – they will surely answer, «God.» How perverted, then, are their minds! [See second note on 5:75. The perversion consists in their thinking that they really «believe in God» and nevertheless worshipping false values and allegedly «divine» powers side by side with Him: all of which amounts to a virtual denial of His almightiness and uniqueness.]

Waarlijk, indien gij de bewoners van Mekka vraagt: Wie heeft de hemelen en de aarde geschapen, en de zon en de maan gedwongen hunnen loop te volgen? zullen zij antwoorden: God. Waarom liegen zij dan in de erkenning van andere goden?

And if you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the Earth, and put the sun and the moon in motion?" They will Say: "God." Why then did they deviate?

Se domandi loro: «Chi ha creato i cieli e la terra e ha sottomesso il sole e la luna?». Certamente risponderanno: «Allah». Perché poi si distolgono [dalla retta via]?

If you were to ask them: "Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?" They will surely reply: "Allah." How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?

Если ты спросишь их: «Кто создал небеса и землю и подчинил солнце и луну?» – они непременно скажут: «Аллах». До чего же они отвращены от истины!

Если ты их спросишь: «Кто создал небеса и землю, подчинил своей власти солнце и луну?» – они непременно ответят:» Аллах». Но сколь же отвратились они [от веры в единого Бога, после того как признали его].

And if you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth and made the sun and the moon subservient, they will certainly say, Allah. Whence are they then turned away?

And if thou wert to ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, and constrained the sun and the moon (to their appointed work)? they would say: Allah. How then are they turned away?

And if thou shouldst ask them, ‹Who created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon?› they will surely say, ‹God!› how then can they lie?

Onlara «Gökleri ve yeri kim yarattı, Güneş’i ve Ay’ı kim boyun eğdirdi?» diye sorarsan, mutlaka şöyle diyecekler: «Allah!» Peki nasıl döndürülüyorlar?

If you ask them: ‹Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon? ‹ They will say: ‹Allah. ‹ How perverted they are!

And thus it is – if you ask them, «Who is it that has created the heavens and the earth, and made subservient the sun and the moon?» They will answer, «Allah». How come, then, are they lost in the wilderness of thought! (The Creator must be the Law-giving Authority to mankind as He is in the entire Universe. (21:20-22), (23:84-88), (31:25), (39:38), (43:9)).

If you ask them, «Who created the heavens and the earth, and put the sun and the moon in your service,» they will say, «GOD.» Why then did they deviate?

If thou ask them who hath created the Heavens and the Earth, and hath imposed laws on the sun and on the moon, they will certainly say, «God.» How then can they devise lies?

Verily, if thou ask the Meccans, who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath obliged the sun and the moon to serve in their courses; they will answer, God. How therefore do they lie, in acknowledging of other gods?

And if thou ask them, `Who has created the heavens and the earth and pressed into service the sun and the moon ? They will, surely, say, `ALLAH.› How then are they being turned away from the truth ?

Und wenn du sie fragst: «Wer hat die Himmel und die Erde geschaffen und die Sonne und den Mond dienstbar gemacht?» dann werden sie gewißlich sagen: «Allah». Wieso lassen sie sich dann abwendig machen?

И если ты их спросишь: ■ «Кто небеса и землю сотворил, ■ А солнце и луну (отдал им) во служенье?», ■ «Аллах!» – они ответят, несомненно, – ■ Так что же так обольщены они (земною суетой)?

Әгәр мөшрикләрдән җирне вә күкләрне кем халык кылды, дип, сорасаң, дәхи айны вә кояшны кем йөретә дип сорасаң, әлбәттә, Аллаһ дип җаваб бирерләр, шулай җавап биргәннәреннән соң ни өчен иман китерүдән баш тарталар?

اور اگر اُن سے پوچھو کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا۔ اور سورج اور چاند کو کس نے (تمہارے) زیر فرمان کیا تو کہہ دیں گے خدا نے۔ تو پھر یہ کہاں اُلٹے جا رہے ہیں

اور اگر آپ اِن (کفّار) سے پوچھیں کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا اور سورج اور چاند کو کس نے تابع فرمان بنا دیا، تو وہ ضرور کہہ دیں گے: اﷲ نے، پھر وہ کدھر الٹے جا رہے ہیں،
