فَأَذاقَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا وَ لَعَذابُ الآْخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ

فأذاقهم اللّه الخزي في الحياة الدّنيا و لعذاب الآخرة أكبر لو كانوا يعلمون

Faathaqahumu Allahu alkhizya fee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabu al-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona

خدا در اين جهان رسوايشان ساخت ، ولي اگر بدانند ، عذاب آخرت بزرگ تر است

سپس خداوند به آنان در زندگانى دنيا خفت و خوارى چشانيد، و اگر مى دانستند عذاب اخروى سهمگين تر است.

و خدا طعم ذلت و خوارى را در دنيا به آنان چشانيد و عذاب آخرت بسيار بزرگ و شديدتر از آنست اگر ميدانستند.

پس خدا در زندگی دنیا خواری و رسوایی را به آنان چشانید؛ و اگر معرفت و آگاهی داشتند [توجه می کردند که] عذاب آخرت بزرگ تر است.

پس بچشانيد بديشان خدا خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا (با سيرى و غير آن) و البته عذاب سراى ديگر بزرگتر است اگر باشند كه بدانند (عبرت گيرند)

پس خدا در زندگى دنيا رسوايى را به آنان چشانيد، و اگر مى‏دانستند، قطعاً عذاب آخرت بزرگتر است.

خداوند در زندگى دنيا طعم رسوايى را به آنان چشاند و اگر بفهمند عذاب آخرت بزرگتر است.

پس خدا خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا به ايشان چشانيد و البته عذاب آخرت بزرگتر است اگر مى‏دانستند.

پس چشانيدشان خدا خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا و هر آينه عذاب آخرت بزرگتر است اگر باشند كه بدانند

آن گاه خداوند [طعم‏] خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا به آنان چشاند. و بى گمان اگر مى‏دانستند عذاب آخرت سخت‏تر است

پس خداوند خواری را در زندگی این دنیا به آنها چشانید، و عذاب آخرت شدیدتر است اگر می‌دانستند.

پس خداوند خوارى و رسوايى را در زندگانى اين جهان بدانها چشانيد و بى‏گمان عذاب آن جهان بزرگتر است، اگر مى‏دانستند.

پس چشانيدشان خدا خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا و هر آينه عذاب آخرت بزرگتر است اگر باشند كه بدانند

پس چشانيد خدا بديشان خوارى را در زندگانى دنيا و همانا عذاب آخرت است بزرگتر اگر بودند مى دانستند

پس خدا عذاب ذلّت و خواری را در زندگانی دنیا به آنها چشانید در صورتی که عذاب آخرت آنها اگر بدانند بسیار سخت‌تر است.

خدا آنها را در اين دنيا به خواري محكوم كرده است و عذاب آخرت بسيار بدتر خواهد بود، اگر فقط مي دانستند.

So God made them taste/experience the shame/disgrace/scandal in the life the present/worldly life, and the end’s (other life’s) torture (E) (is) greater if they were knowing.

So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life, but greater is the torment of the Hereafter if they only knew!

so God let them taste degradation in this present life; and the chastisement of the world to come is assuredly greater, did they but know.

and thus God let them taste ignominy [even] in the life of this world. [Cf. 16:26, which contains the additional sentence, «God visited with destruction all that they had ever built …», etc., which explains the present reference to their suffering and ignominy «in the life of this world».] Yet [how] much greater will be the [sinners›] suffering in the life to come – if they [who now deny the truth] but knew it!

En God vernederde hen in dit leven, maar de straf van het volgende leven zal zekerlijk grooter wezen. Indien zij mannen van verstand waren, zouden zij dit weten.

So God made them taste the humiliation in this worldly life, but the retribution in the Hereafter is far greater, if only they knew.

Allah fece provare loro l’ignominia in questa vita; ma il castigo nell’Altra vita è certamente più grande, se lo sapessero.

So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life, but greater is the torment of the Hereafter if they only knew!

Аллах дал им вкусить позор в мирской жизни. А мучений в Последней жизни, несомненно, будет еще больше, если бы они только знали!

Аллах дал им вкусить в этой жизни срам. А наказание в будущей жизни еще суровее, если бы только они знали это!

So Allah made them taste the disgrace in this world’s life, and certainly the punishment of the hereafter is greater; did they but know!

Thus Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be greater if they did but know.

and God made them taste disgrace in the life of this world. But surely the torment of the hereafter is greater, if they did but know.

Allah; onlara dünyada rezilliği tattırdı. Âhiretin azabı ise elbette daha büyüktür. Bir bilselerdi!…

Allah let them taste degradation in this present life, but the punishment of the Everlasting Life shall be greater if they but knew.

Thus Allah made them lose dignity and honor in the world. Yet, much greater will be the suffering in the life to come. They could have understood, had they made good use of what they knew.

GOD has condemned them to humiliation in this life, and the retribution in the Hereafter will be far worse, if they only knew.

And God made them taste humiliation in this present life: but greater surely will be the punishment of the life to come. Did they but know it!

And God caused them to taste shame in this present life; but the punishment of the life to come will certainly be greater. If they were men of understanding, they would know this.

So ALLAH made them taste humiliation in the present life and the punishment of the Hereafter will certainly be greater, if they but knew.

Und Allah ließ sie Schande kosten im irdischen Leben; doch die Strafe im Jenseits wird gewiß größer sein, wenn sie es nur wüßten!

Подверг Господь их унижению в сей жизни, ■ А наказание в последней – больше. ■ О, если б они только знали!

Аллаһ аларга дөнья тереклегендә хурлыкны татытты, вә аларга ахирәт ґәзабы олугърактыр, әгәр белер булсалар.

پھر ان کو خدا نے دنیا کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھا دیا۔ اور آخرت کا عذاب تو بہت بڑا ہے۔ کاش یہ سمجھ رکھتے

پس اللہ نے انہیں دنیا کی زندگی میں (ہی) ذِلّت و رسوائی کا مزہ چکھا دیا اور یقیناً آخرت کا عذاب کہیں بڑا ہے، کاش وہ جانتے ہوتے،
