أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعاءَ قُلْ أَ وَ لَوْ كانُوا لا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئاً وَ لا يَعْقِلُونَ

أم اتّخذوا من دون اللّه شفعاء قل أ و لو كانوا لا يملكون شيئا و لا يعقلون

Ami ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi shufaAAaa qul awa law kanoo la yamlikoona shay-an wala yaAAqiloona

آيا سواي خدا شفيعاني اختيار کردند ؟ بگو : حتي اگر آن شفيعان قدرت به کاري نداشته باشند و چيزي را در نيابند ؟

آيا [كافران] به جاى خداوند شفيعانى برگرفته اند؟ بگو حتى اگر بر چيزى دست نداشته باشند و تعقل نكنند [باز هم آنان را شفيع مى گيرند؟].

آيا مشركان غير از خدا، شفيعانى براى خود گرفته‏اند؟ بآنان بگو، معبودان شما (چگونه شفيع توانند بود در حالى كه) مالك كوچكترين چيزى نيستند و عقل و فهمى هم ندارند.

[نه اینکه بی خبران، درباره قدرت خدا نمی اندیشند] بلکه به جای خدا [از بتان] شفیعانی برای خود گرفته اند. بگو: آیا [از آنها شفاعت می خواهید] هر چند مالک چیزی [و اختیاردار شفاعتی] نباشند و علم و عقلی نداشته باشند [و پرستندگان خود را نشناسند؟]

بلكه مشركان گرفتند بجز خدا شفيعانى بگو آيا (بتان شفاعت كنند) اگر چه باشند آنها كه مالك نشوند چيزى (از شفاعت) را و نه بخرد دريابند

آيا غير از خدا شفاعتگرانى براى خود گرفته‏اند؟ بگو: «آيا هر چند اختيار چيزى را نداشته باشند و نينديشند؟»

يا شايد غير خدا را شفيعان خود برگزيده‏اند؟ بگو: حتى اگر مالك چيزى نباشند و چيزى را درك نكنند.

[ناباوران‏] جز از خدا شفيعانى گرفته‏اند. بگو: اگر چه مالك چيزى نباشند و در نيابند [باز هم آنها را شفيع مى‏دانيد]؟

آيا گرفتند از غير خدا شفيعان بگو آيا گرچه باشند كه مالك نباشند چيزى را و نفهمند

آيا به جاى خداوند شفيعانى گرفته‏اند؟ [به آنان‏] بگو: اگر چه هيچ كارى نتوانند انجام دهند و خرد نورزند؟

آیا آنان غیر از خدا شفیعانی گرفته‌اند؟! به آنان بگو: «آیا (از آنها شفاعت می‌طلبید) هر چند مالک چیزی نباشند و درک و شعوری برای آنها نباشد؟!»

بلكه جز خدا شفيعانى- كارگزاران و ميانجى‏ها- گرفته‏اند. بگو: آيا هر چند آنان به چيزى توانايى نداشته باشند و چيزى درنيابند [باز هم آنها را شفيع مى‏گيريد]؟!

آيا گرفتند از غير خدا شفيعان بگو آيا گر چه باشند كه مالك نباشند چيزى را و نفهمند

آيا برگرفتند جز خدا شفيعانى بگو اگر چه باشند مالك نباشند چيزى را و نه بخرد يابند

بلکه این مردم کافر مشرک خدا را وا گذارده و بتهایی (بی اثر) را شفیعان خود بر گرفتند. بگو: اگر چه این بتان کمتر چیزی در جهان مالک نباشند و عقل و ادراکی هیچ نداشته باشند (باز شفیع شما توانند شد).

آيا شفاعت كنندگاني از خود ساخته اند تا در ميان آنها و خدا واسطه شوند؟ بگو: اگر آنها هيچ قدرتي يا فهمي نداشته باشند، چطور؟

Or they took from other than God mediators, say: «Even if they were not owning/possessing a thing, and nor reasoning/comprehending ?

Have they taken others as intercessors besides Allah? Say: «Even if they have power over nothing whatever and have no intelligence?»

Say: ‹What, even though they have no power whatever and no understanding?›

And yet, [This is the meaning of the particle am in this context (Zamakhshari, implying that despite all the evidence of God’s almightiness, many people tend to disregard it.] they choose [to worship], side by side with God, [imaginary] intercessors!» [I.e., intercessors who could act as such independently of God’s permission – an assumption which the Quran categorically denies (see note on 10:3).] Say: «Why – even though they have no power over anything, and no understanding?» [A reference to the adoration of dead saints or their tombs or relics, as well as of inanimate representations of saints, of imaginary deities, etc.]

Hebben de Koreshieten afgoden genomen tot hunne tusschenpersonen bij God? Zeg: Wat! niettegenstaande deze geene macht over iets bezitten, noch verstand bezitten.

Or have they taken intercessors besides God? Say: "What if they do not possess any power, nor understanding?"

Si sono presi intercessori all’infuori di Allah? Di›: «Anche se non possiedono niente? [ Anche se] non comprendono niente?»

Have they taken others as intercessors besides Allah? Say: "Even if they have power over nothing whatever and have no intelligence?"

Или же они взяли себе заступников помимо Аллаха? Скажи: «А если они не владеют ничем и не разумеют?»

Быть может, они обрели себе заступников помимо Аллаха? Спроси: «[Неужели вы поклоняетесь им], даже если они не властны ни над чем и лишены дара разума?»

Or have they taken intercessors besides Allah? Say: what! even though they did not ever have control over anything, nor do they understand.

Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say: What! Even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence?

Do they take besides God intercessors? Say, ‹What! though they have no control over anything and have no sense.›

Yoksa Allah’ın berisinden şefaatçılar mı edindiler? De ki: «Onlar hiçbir şeye sahip olmayan/hiçbir şeye gücü yetmeyen, aklını da işletmeyen varlıklar olsalar da mı?»

Have they chosen, other than Allah, to intercede for them? Say: ‹What, even though they have no power at all, nor understanding? ‹

What! Do they contrive mediators side by side with Allah? Say, «Why – even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence?»

Have they invented intercessors to mediate between them and GOD? Say, «What if they do not possess any power, nor understanding?»

Have they taken aught beside God as intercessors? SAY: What! though they have no power over anything, neither do they understand?

Have the Koreish taken idols for their intercessors with God? Say, what, although they have not dominion over any thing, neither do they understand?

Have they taken intercessors beside ALLAH ? Say, `Even if they have no power over anything and no understanding ?

Haben sie Fürsprecher angenommen statt Allah? Sprich: «Selbst wenn sie keine Macht über irgend etwas haben und keinen Verstand?»

Ужель они берут в заступники себе ■ Другие (божества), помимо Бога? ■ Скажи: «Даже тогда, ■ Когда они ничем не обладают, ■ Не разумеют ничего?»

Югыйсә алар Аллаһудан башка сынымнарны шәфәгатьче итеп тоталармы? Бит ул сынымнарыгыз һичнәрсәгә хуҗа була алмыйлар һәм сезнең аларга гыйбадәт иткәнегезне дә белмиләр, шулай булгач ничек шәфәгать итә алсыннар?

کیا انہوں نے خدا کے سوا اور سفارشی بنالئے ہیں۔ کہو کہ خواہ وہ کسی چیز کا بھی اختیار نہ رکھتے ہوں اور نہ (کچھ) سمجھتے ہی ہوں

کیا انہوں نے اللہ کے اِذن کے خلاف (بتوں کو) سفارشی بنا رکھا ہے؟ فرما دیجئے: اگرچہ وہ کسی چیز کے مالک بھی نہ ہوں اور ذی عقل بھی نہ ہوں،
