يا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْناكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَ أُنْثى وَ جَعَلْناكُمْ شُعُوباً وَ قَبائِلَ لِتَعارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

يا أيّها النّاس إنّا خلقناكم من ذكر و أنثى و جعلناكم شعوبا و قبائل لتعارفوا إنّ أكرمكم عند اللّه أتقاكم إنّ اللّه عليم خبير

Ya ayyuha alnnasu inna khalaqnakum min thakarin waontha wajaAAalnakum shuAAooban waqaba-ila litaAAarafoo inna akramakum AAinda Allahi atqakum inna Allaha AAaleemun khabeerun

اي مردم ، ما شما را از نري و ماده اي بيافريديم و شما را جماعتها و، قبيله ها کرديم تا يکديگر را بشناسيد هر آينه گرامي ترين شما نزد خدا ،پرهيزگارترين شماست خدا دانا و کاردان است

هان اى مردم همانا ما شما را از يك مرد و يك زن آفريده ايم و شما را به هيأت اقوام و قبايلى درآورده ايم تا با يكديگر انس و آشنايى يابيد، بيگمان گرامى ترين شما در نزد خداوند پرهيزگارترين شماست; كه خداوند داناى آگاه است.

اى مردم، ما همه شما را از مرد و زنى آفريديم و شما را بصورت گروه‏ها و قبايل مختلف درآورديم تا يكديگر را بشناسيد (و بدانيد كه اصل و نسب مايه مباهات و افتخار نيست) در حقيقت گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزكارترين شماست، بدرستى كه خدا دانا و آگاه است.

ای مردم! ما شما را از یک مرد و زن آفریدیم و ملت ها و قبیله ها قرار دادیم تا یکدیگر را بشناسید. بی تردید گرامی ترین شما نزد خدا پرهیزکارترین شماست. یقیناً خدا دانا و آگاه است.

اى مردم البته ما آفريده‏ايم شما را از مرد و آن (آدم و حوا) و گردانيديم شما را شعبه‏ها و قبيله‏ها تا بشناسيد يكديگر را (به نسب و قبيله) بيگمان گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزكارترين شماست زيرا خدا دانا و آگاه است

اى مردم، ما شما را از مرد و زنى آفريديم، و شما را ملّت ملّت و قبيله قبيله گردانيديم تا با يكديگر شناسايى متقابل حاصل كنيد. در حقيقت ارجمندترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شماست. بى‏ترديد، خداوند داناى آگاه است.

اى مردم! ما شما را از مرد و زنى آفريديم و شما را دسته‏ها و قبيله‏ها كرديم تا يكديگر را بشناسيد ولى گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شماست، خداوند داناى آگاه است.

اى مردم ما شما را از مردى و زنى بيافريديم، و شما را شعبه‏ها و قبيله‏ها كرديم تا يكديگر را بشناسيد [و با هم آشنا شويد]. بيگمان گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شماست. [و] خدا داناى آگاه است.

اى مردم بدرستيكه ما آفريديم شما را از مذكر و مؤنثى و گردانيديم شما را شعبه‏ها و قبيله‏ها تا يكديگر را بشناسيد بدرستيكه گرامى ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شما است بدرستيكه خدا داناى آگاهست

اى مردم، ما شما را از مرد و زنى آفريده‏ايم و شما را گروه‏ها و قبيله‏هايى گردانده‏ايم تا همديگر را بشناسيد. گرامى‏ترينتان در نزد خداوند پرهيزگارترينتان است. بى گمان خداوند دانا [و] آگاه است

ای مردم! ما شما را از یک مرد و زن آفریدیم و شما را تیره‌ها و قبیله‌ها قرار دادیم تا یکدیگر را بشناسید؛ (اینها ملاک امتیاز نیست،) گرامی‌ترین شما نزد خداوند با تقواترین شماست؛ خداوند دانا و آگاه است!

اى مردم، ما شما را از يك مرد و زن بيافريديم، و شما را شاخه‏ها و تيره‏ها كرديم تا يكديگر را باز شناسيد. هر آينه گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شماست. همانا خدا دانا و آگاه است.

اى مردم بدرستى كه ما آفريديم شما را از مذكر و مؤنثى و گردانيديم شما را شعبه‏ها و قبيله‏ها تا يكديگر را بشناسيد بدرستى كه گرامى‏ترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزگارترين شما است بدرستى كه خدا داناى آگاهست

اى مردم همانا ما آفريديمتان از نرى و ماده و گردانيديم شما را شاخه هائى و تيره هائى تا شناسا شويد همانا گراميترين شما نزد خدا پرهيزكارترين شما است همانا خدا است داناى آگاه

ای مردم، ما همه شما را نخست از مرد و زنی آفریدیم و آن گاه شعبه‌های بسیار و فرق مختلف گردانیدیم تا یکدیگر را بشناسید، همانا بزرگوار و با افتخارترین شما نزد خدا با تقواترین شمایند، همانا خدا کاملا دانا و آگاه است.

اي مردم، ما شما را از همان مذكر و مؤنث خلق كرديم و شما را ملل و قبايلي مشخص قرار داديم، باشد كه يكديگر را تشخيص دهيد. بهترين شما در نزد خدا پرهيزكارترين شماست. خداست داناي مطلق، آگاه.

You, you the people, that We created you from a male and a female, and We made/created you (into) nations/communities and groups/tribes to know each other, that truly (the) most honoured/kind of you at God (is) your most fearing and obeying, that truly God (is) knowledgeable, expert/experienced.

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa (i.e. one of the Muttaqoon (pious – see V.:). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

O mankind, We have created you male and female, and appointed you races and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely the noblest among you in the sight of God is the most godfearing of you. God is All-knowing, All-aware.

O men! Behold, We have created you all out of a male and a female, [I.e., «We have created every one of you out of a father and a mother» (Zamakhshari, Razi, Baydawi) – implying that this equality of biological origin is reflected in the equality of the human dignity common to all.] and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another. [I.e., know that all belong to one human family, without any inherent superiority of one over another (Zamakhshari). This connects with the exhortation, in the preceding two verses, to respect and safeguard each other’s dignity. In other words, men’s evolution into «nations and tribes» is meant to foster rather than to diminish their mutual desire to understand and appreciate the essential human oneness underlying their outward differentiations; and, correspondingly, all racial, national or tribal prejudice (asabiyyah) is condemned – implicitly in the Quran, and most explicitly by the Prophet (see second half of note on 28:15). In addition, speaking of people’s boasting of their national or tribal past, the Prophet said: «Behold, God has removed from you the arrogance of pagan ignorance (jahiliyyah) with its boast of ancestral glories. Man is but a God-conscious believer or an unfortunate sinner. All people are children of Adam, and Adam was created out of dust.» (Fragment of a hadith quoted by Tirmidhi and Abu Daud, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah.)] Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware.

O menschen! waarlijk, wij hebben u uit een mannelijk en een vrouwelijk wezen geschapen, en wij hebben u in volkeren en stammen verdeeld, opdat gij elkander zoudt kennen. Waarlijk, de achtingwaardigste uwer in Gods oog, is de vroomste, en God is wijs en alwetend.

O mankind, We created you from a male and f
emale, and We made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely, the most honourable among you in the sight of God is the most righteous. God is Knowledgeable, Expert.

O uomini, vi abbiamo creato da un maschio e una femmina e abbiamo fatto di voi popoli e tribù, affinché vi conosceste a vicenda. Presso Allah, il più nobile di voi è colui che più Lo teme. In verità Allah è sapiente, ben informato.

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa (i.e. one of the Muttaqoon (pious – see V.2:2). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

О люди! Воистину, Мы создали вас из мужчины и женщины и сделали вас народами и племенами, чтобы вы узнавали друг друга, и самый почитаемый перед Аллахом среди вас – наиболее богобоязненный. Воистину, Аллах – Знающий, Ведающий.

О люди! Воистину, Мы создали вас мужчинами и женщинами, сделали вас народами и племенами, чтобы вы знали друг друга, ибо самый уважаемый Аллахом среди вас – наиболее благочестивый. Воистину, Аллах – знающий, сведущий.

O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware.

O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.

O ye folk! verily, we have created you of male and female, and made you races and tribes that ye may know each other. Verily, the most honourable of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you; verily, God is knowing, aware!

Ey insanlar! Biz sizi, bir erkekle bir dişiden yarattık. Ve örfler yoluyla tanışıp kaynaşasınız diye sizi milletlere, boylara ayırdık. Hiç kuşkusuz, Allah katında en seçkininiz, sakınılması gereken şeylerden en çok sakınanınızdır. Allah her şeyi bilir, her şeyden haberdardır.

People, We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might know one another. The noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you. Allah is the Knower, the Aware.

O Mankind! Behold, We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes so that you might (affectionately) come to know one another. Verily, the most honored among you, in the Sight of Allah, is the one who lives most upright. Behold, Allah is Knower, Aware. (‹Min zakarinwwa untha› = Of a kind that is male, and of a kind that is female = Male and female = Some of you are men and some of you are women. On this note I find myself in agreement with M. Pickthall).

O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

O men! verily, we have created you of a male and a female; and we have divided you into peoples and tribes that ye might have knowledge one of another. Truly, the most worthy of honour in the sight of God is he who feareth Him most. Verily, God is Knowing, Cognisant.

O men, verily We have created you of a male and a female; and We have ditributed you into nations, and tribes, that ye might know one another. Verily the most honourable of you, in the sight of God, is the most pious of you: And God is wise and knowing.

O mankind, WE have created you from a male and a female; And WE have made you tribes and sub-tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of ALLAH, is he who is the most righteous among you. Surely, ALLAH is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

O ihr Menschen, Wir haben euch von Mann und Weib erschaffen und euch zu Völkern und Stämmen gemacht, daß ihr einander kennen möchtet. Wahrlich, der Angesehenste von euch ist vor Allah der, der unter euch der Gerechteste ist. Siehe, Allah ist allwissend, allkundig.

О люди! Мы сотворили вас от (пары): мужа и жены. ■ И создали из вас (семейные) роды и (разные) народы, ■ Чтоб вы могли друг друга знать. ■ Ведь пред Аллахом самый чтимый – тот, ■ Кто праведней из всех вас станет. ■ Поистине, Аллах всезнающ и ведает о всем и вся!

Ий кешеләр, Без сезләрне ир вә хатын итеп халык кылдык, вә сездән тармаклар вә кабиләләр кылдык бер-берегезне әҗерәтеп танымаклыгыгыз өчен, тәхкыйк сезнең Аллаһ хозурында хөрмәтлерәгегез Аллаһудан куркып гөнаһлардан сакланучырагыздыр, Аллаһ белүче вә һәр эшегездән хәбәрдар.

لوگو! ہم نے تم کو ایک مرد اور ایک عورت سے پیدا کیا اور تمہاری قومیں اور قبیلے بنائے۔ تاکہ ایک دوسرے کو شناخت کرو۔ اور خدا کے نزدیک تم میں زیادہ عزت والا وہ ہے جو زیادہ پرہیزگار ہے۔ بےشک خدا سب کچھ جاننے والا (اور) سب سے خبردار ہے

اے لوگو! ہم نے تمہیں مرد اور عورت سے پیدا فرمایا اور ہم نے تمہیں (بڑی بڑی) قوموں اور قبیلوں میں (تقسیم) کیا تاکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو پہچان سکو۔ بیشک اﷲ کے نزدیک تم میں زیادہ باعزت وہ ہے جو تم میں زیادہ پرہیزگارہو، بیشک اﷲ خوب جاننے والا خوب خبر رکھنے والا ہے،
