وَ كَذَّبُوا وَ اتَّبَعُوا أَهْواءَهُمْ وَ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ

و كذّبوا و اتّبعوا أهواءهم و كلّ أمر مستقرّ

Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahum wakullu amrin mustaqirrun

و تکذيب مي کنند و از پي هواهاي خويش مي روند و هر کاري را هدفي است

و انكار پيشه كردند و از هوى و هوسهايشان پيروى كردند و هر كارى سرانجامى دارد.

آنان حقايق را منكر شده و تابع هواى نفس خود شدند و حال آنكه هر امرى را مقاميست.

و [قرآن، رسالت پیامبر و معجزه را] انکار کردند و هواهای نفسانی خود را پیروی نمودند، در حالی که هر کاری [چه خیر و چه شر، چه حق و چه باطل در قرارگاه ویژه خود] قرار می گیرد [و اینان به زودی خواهند دانست که قرآن و پیامبر بر حق است یا معبودانشان؟]

(و پيغمبر و معجزات را) تكذيب كردند و پيروى كردند آرزوهاى خود را و هر كارى قرار گيرنده است بجاى خود

و به تكذيب دست زدند و هوسهاى خويش را دنبال كردند، و [لى‏] هر كارى را [آخر] قرارى است.

آنها به تكذيب برخاستند و پيرو هواى نفس شدند و هر كار را سامانى است،

و [آنها پيامبر را] تكذيب كردند، و بر پى آرزوهاى خود رفتند، و هر امرى [در نهايت به جاى خود] قرار گيرد.

و تكذيب كردند و پيروى كردند از خواهش‏هاى خود و هر امرى برقرار است

و دروغ انگاشتند و از خواسته‏هاى [نفسانى‏] خود پيروى كردند و هر كارى به غايتى [همخوان با خود] مى‏انجامد

آنها (آیات خدا را) تکذیب کردند و از هوای نفسشان پیروی نمودند؛ و هر امری قرارگاهی دارد!

و دروغ انگاشتند و پيرو خواهشهاى [دل‏] خويش شدند و هر كارى [به جاى خود] قرار مى‏گيرد- نيكى به نيكان و بدى به بدان-.

و تكذيب كردند و پيروى كردند از خواهش‏هاى خود و هر امرى برقرار است

و تكذيب كردند و پيروى كردند هوسهاى خويش را و هر كارى است پايدار (جايگزين)

و آنها (رسول حق را) تکذیب کرده و پیرو هوای نفس باطل خود شدند و هر (حق و باطل) امری را عاقبت (در بهشت یا دوزخ) مقرّی خواهد بود.

آنها ايمان نياوردند، از عقايد خود پيروي كردند و به سنت هاي گذشته خود پايبند بودند.

And they lied/denied , and they followed their self attractions for desires, and each/every matter/affair (is) settled/established .

They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled (according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)).

They have cried lies, and followed their caprices; but every matter is settled.

for they are bent on giving it the lie, being always wont to follow their own desires. [Lit., «they have given [it] the lie»: an allusion to the prediction of the Last Hour and the Day of Resurrection. The use of the past tense indicates conscious intent or determination (cf. 2:6). For my rendering of sihr as «delusion», see 74:24.] Yet everything reveals its truth in the end. [Lit., «everything is settled in its [own] being»: i.e., everything has an intrinsic reality (haqiqah) of its own, and is bound to reveal that reality either in this world or in the next (Baghawi, on the authority of Al-Kalbi); hence, everything must have a purpose or «goal» of its own (Zamakhshari). These two – mutually complementary – interpretations reflect the repeated Quranic statement that everything that exists or happens has a meaning and a purpose: cf. 3:191, 10:5 and 38:27 (particularly, see note on 10:5). In the present context, the phrase relates both to the truth referred to in the preceding verses and to its rejection by those who are «wont to follow [but] their own desires».

En zij beschuldigen u, o Mahomet! van bedrog, en volgen hunne eigene lusten: maar ieder ding zal onveranderlijk bepaald wezen.

And they disbelieved, and followed their desires, and every old tradition.

Tacciano di menzogna e seguono le loro passioni, ma ogni Decreto è prefissato.

They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled (according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)).

Они сочли лжецами посланников и потакали своим желаниям, но каждый поступок утвердится (творения получат вознаграждение за добро и наказание за зло).

Они не признали [знамений] и последовали за своими низменными желаниями, ибо всякое дело свершается.

And they call (it) a lie, and follow their low desires; and every affair has its appointed term.

They denied (the Truth) and followed their own lusts. Yet everything will come to a decision

And they call it a lie and follow their lusts; but every matter is settled!

Yalanladılar; kendi heves ve kuruntularına uydular. Oysaki her iş ve oluş karara, ölçüye ve düzene bağlanmıştır.

They have belied, and follow their own fancies. But, every issue will be settled!

For they adamantly belie the Truth and follow their desires. Yet, everything moves to its destination in stages.

They disbelieved, followed their opinions, and adhered to their old traditions.

And they have treated the prophets as impostors, and follow their own lusts; but everything is unalterably fixed.

And they accuse thee, O Mohammed, of imposture, and follow their own lusts: But every thing will be immutably fixed.

They have rejected the truth and follow their own fancies. But for everything there is an appointed time.

Sie leugnen und folgen ihren bösen Gelüsten. Doch jedem Ding ist eine Zeit bestimmt.

И ложью нарекли они (предупрежденье) ■ И предались своим страстям, ■ Не зная то, что всяко дело ■ Назначенный черед имеет.

Вә Коръәнне һәм расүлне ялганга тоттылар вә үзләренең күңелләре теләгән нәрсәгә иярделәр, шуның өчен адаштылар. Бит һәр эш үз урынына урнашучыдыр, ягъни Коръән белән гамәл кылмыйча адашкан кешенең урыны җәһәннәмдер, Коръән белән гамәл кылып һидәятне тапкан мөэминнәрнең урыны җәннәтдер.

اور انہوں نے جھٹلایا اور اپنی خواہشوں کی پیروی کی اور ہر کام کا وقت مقرر ہے

اور انہوں نے (اب بھی) جھٹلایا اور اپنی خواہشات کے پیچھے چلے اور ہر کام (جس کا وعدہ کیا گیا ہے) مقررّہ وقت پر ہونے والا ہے،
