فَنادَوْا صاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعاطى فَعَقَرَ

فنادوا صاحبهم فتعاطى فعقر

Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAata faAAaqara

يارشان را ندا دادند و او شمشير برگرفت و آن را پي کرد

آنگاه رفيقشان را ندا دادند، سپس او دست درازى كرد و [شتر ر] پى كرد.

آنها از سردسته‏شان خواستند (تا ناقه را بكشد) او دست برد و ناقه را پى كرد.

پس آنان یارشان را [که برای پی کردن ناقه آماده کرده بودند] فرا خواندند و [او] دست به کار شد و [ماده شتر را] پی کرد.

پس بخواندند قوم ثمود يار خود را و او برگرفت شمشير را و پى كرد ناقه را

پس رفيقشان را صدا كردند و [او] شمشير كشيد و [شتر را] پى كرد.

آنها يكى از ياران خود را صدا زدند، او سلاح برگرفت و شتر را پى كرد،

پس [ثموديان‏] يار خود را فراخواندند، و [او] دست برد و «ناقه» را پى كرد.

پس خواندند يارشان را پس بگرفت شمشير خود را پس پى كرد

پس يارشان را ندا دادند و او دست درازى كرد، آن گاه شتر را پى كرد

آنها یکی از یاران خود را صدا زدند، او به سراغ این کار آمد و (ناقه را)پی کرد!

پس يار خود را آواز دادند تا [سلاح‏] برگرفت و [ماده‏شتر را] پى كرد- كشت-.

پس خواندند يارشان را پس بگرفت شمشير خود را پس پى كرد

پس خواندند يار خويش را پس بيامد پس پى كرد

آن قوم شقی صاحب و رئیس خود را خواندند تا مجهز شد و ناقه را پی کرد.

اما آنها دوست خود را تحريک كردند تا (شتر را) بكشد و او به اين كار راضي شد.

So they called their companion/friend, so he stood on his toes and extended his hands to take , so he wounded/slaughtered/made infertile .

But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her).

Then they called their comrade, and he took in hand, and hamstrung her.

But they summoned their [boldest] companion, and he ventured [upon the evil deed], and cruelly slaughtered [the animal]: [For the above rendering of aqara, see note on 7:77.]

Zij riepen hunnen makker, en hij nam een zwaard en doodde haar,

But they called on their friend, and he was paid to slaughter.

Chiamarono uno dei loro che impugnò [la spada] e le tagliò i garetti.

Arkadaşlarını çağırdılar, o da hançerini kapıp deveyi boğazladı.

But they called their companion who took hold of her and hamstrung her.

But they called their (most forward) comrade and he took charge and killed her.

But they persuaded their friend to kill (the camel), and he obliged.

But they called to their comrade, and he took a knife and ham-strung her.

And they called their companion: And he took a sword, and slew her.

Doch sie riefen ihren Gefährten, und er packte (sie) und schnitt (ihr) die Sehnen durch.

تو ان لوگوں نے اپنے رفیق کو بلایا اور اس نے (اونٹنی کو پکڑ کر اس کی) کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں

پس انہوں نے (قدار نامی) اپنے ایک ساتھی کو بلایا، اس نے (اونٹنی پر تلوار سے) وار کیا اور کونچیں کاٹ دیں،
