كَمَثَلِ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيباً ذاقُوا وَبالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَ لَهُمْ عَذابٌ أَلِيمٌ

كمثل الّذين من قبلهم قريبا ذاقوا وبال أمرهم و لهم عذاب أليم

Kamathali allatheena min qablihim qareeban thaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabun aleemun

همانند آنهايي هستند که چندي پيش وبال گناه خويش را چشيدند و به عذابي دردآور نيز گرفتار خواهند شد

همانند پيشينيان نزديكشان كه عقوبت كار [نادرست]شان را چشيدند و عذابى دردناك [در پيش] دارند.

مثل آنها همانند مثل كسانى است كه اندكى قبل از آنان كيفر اعمال ناشايست خود را چشيدند و (روز قيامت) عذابى بس جانگداز در انتظار آنهاست.

[داستان این یهودی های نابکار بنی نظیر] مانند کسانی است که اندکی پیش از اینان [در پیرامون مدینه] بودند که سرانجام وخیم کارشان را چشیدند، و برای آنان عذابی دردناک است.

مانند آنست كه پيش از ايشان بودند به زمانى نزديك چشيدند بدى عاقبت كار خود را و ايشان را عذابى دردناك است

درست مانند همان كسانى كه اخيرا [در واقعه بدر] سزاى كار [بد] خود را چشيدند؛ و آنان را عذاب دردناكى خواهد بود.

مانند كسانى كه چندى پيش از آنها عاقبت كار بدشان را چشيدند و براى آنها عذاب دردناكى است،

[مثل آنان‏] چون مثل كسانيست كه اندكى پيش از اينان [در جنگ بدر، دشمن مسلمانان‏] بودند، [و] و بال كار خود را چشيدند، و آنان را عذاب دردناكى است.

مانند آنان كه بودند پيش از ايشان نزديك بچشيدند بدى عاقبت كارشانرا و ايشانراست عذابى دردناك

[وصف اينان‏] چون داستان كسانى است كه اندكى پيش از آنان بودند. [طعم‏] و بال كارشان را چشيدند و آنان عذابى دردناك [در پيش‏] دارند

کار این گروه از یهود همانند کسانی است که کمی قبل از آنان بودند، طعم تلخ کار خود را چشیدند و برای آنها عذابی دردناک است!

[داستان آنها]- جهودان- همچون داستان كسانى است كه اندك زمانى پيش از آنها بودند- جهودان بنى قينقاع يا كافران مكه- كه فرجام بد كار خود را چشيدند، و آنان را عذابى است دردناك.

مانند آنان كه بودند پيش از ايشان نزديك بچشيدند بدى عاقبت كارشان را و ايشان را است عذابى دردناك

مانند آنان كه پيش از ايشان بودند به نزديك چشيدند بد فرجامى كار خويش را و ايشان را است عذابى دردناك

مثل حال اینان هم مانند همان قوم کافر پیشین است (یعنی یهود قینقاع یا کفّار بدر) که (در دنیا) بدین زودی کیفر کردارشان را چشیدند و (در قیامت) هم عذاب دردناک بر آنها مهیّاست.

سرنوشت آنها مانند سرنوشت امثال آنهاست كه پيش از آنها بودند. آنها از نتايج تصميمات خود رنج كشيدند. آنها سزاوار عذابي دردناك شده اند.

As/like (the) example/proverb, (of) those from before them near/close (shortly), they tasted/experienced their matters’/affair’s severity/bad consequences , and for them (is) a painful torture.

They are like their immediate predecessors (the Jews of Banee Qainooqa, who suffered), they tasted the evil result of their conduct, and (in the Hereafter, there is) for them a painful torment;-

Like those who a short time before them tasted the mischief of their action; there awaits them a painful chastisement.

[To both kinds of your enemies, O believers, is bound to happen] [This interpolation – relating as it does to both the outright deniers of the truth and the hypocrites – is justified by the occurrence of the dual form in verse 17.] the like of [what happened to] those who, a short while before them, had to taste the evil that came from their own doings, with [yet more] grievous suffering awaiting them [in the life to come]: [In the first instance, this is apparently an allusion to the fate of the pagan Quraysh at the battle of Badr (Zamakhshari) or, according to some authorities (quoted by Tabari), to the treachery and subsequent expulsion from Medina, in the month of Shawwal, 2 H., of the Jewish tribe of Banu Qaynuqa. But in a wider perspective – strongly suggested by the next two verses – the meaning is general and not restricteed to any particular time or historical occurrence.

Gelijk degenen, die hen voorafgingen hebben zij het booze gevolg van hunne daden geproefd, en eene pijnlijke straf is hiernamaals voor hen gereed gemaakt.

Like the example of those who preceded them. They suffered the consequences of their decisions. They have incurred a painful retribution.

Sono simili a coloro che di poco li precedettero: subirono le conseguenze del loro comportamento: riceveranno doloroso castigo.

They are like their immediate predecessors (the Jews of Banee Qainooqa, who suffered), they tasted the evil result of their conduct, and (in the Hereafter, there is) for them a painful torment;-

Они подобны своим недавним предшественникам, которые вкусили пагубность своих деяний и которым уготованы мучительные страдания.

[Они] подобны тем, которые были недавно до них, [которые] вкусили злое наказание за свои деяния и которым [еще] уготована мучительная кара.

Like those before them shortly; they tasted the evil result of their affair, and they shall have a painful punishment.

On the likeness of those (who suffered) a short time before them, they taste the ill-effects of their own conduct, and theirs is painful punishment.

Like unto those before them, recently they tasted the evil result of their affair, and for them is grievous woe.

Kendilerinden biraz önce günahlarının vebalini tadanlara benziyorlar. Acı bir azap var onlara…

Just as those who, not long before, tasted the mischief of their actions, there awaits for them a painful punishment.

Their example is the same as of those who lately preceded them. They tasted the calamity for their (wrong) decisions, and theirs is the awful doom.

Their fate is the same as their counterparts who preceded them. They suffered the consequences of their decisions. They have incurred a painful retribution.

They act like those who lately preceded them, who also tasted the result of their doings; and a grievous chastisement awaiteth them –

Like those who lately preceded them, they have tasted the evil consequence of their deed; and a painful torment is prepared for them hereafter.

Their case is like the case of those people who passed away only a short time before them. They tasted the evil consequences of their evil conduct. And for them is a painful punishment.

Gleich jenen, die kurz vor ihnen die bösen Folgen ihrer Handlungsweise kosteten. Und für sie ist qualvolle Strafe.

Подобно тем, кто был до них, ■ Они уже вкусили (в жизни ближней) ■ Своих деяний вредный плод, – ■ И им – жестокая расплата!

Ул яһүдләрнең мисалы үзләреннән алда якында гына Бәдер сугышында һәлак булган мөшрикләр кебидер, ул мөшрикләр явыз эшләренең җәзасын татыдылар, дәхи аларга рәнҗеткүче ґәзаб булды.

ان کا حال ان لوگوں کا سا ہے جو ان سے کچھ ہی پیشتر اپنے کاموں کی سزا کا مزہ چکھ چکے ہیں۔ اور (ابھی) ان کے لئے دکھ دینے والا عذاب (تیار) ہے

(اُن کا حال) اُن لوگوں جیسا ہے جو اُن سے پہلے زمانۂ قریب میں ہی اپنی شامتِ اعمال کا مزہ چکھ چکے ہیں (یعنی بدر میں مشرکینِ مکہ، اور یہود میں سے بنو نضیر، بنو قینقاع و بنو قریظہ وغیرہ)، اور ان کے لئے (آخرت میں بھی) دردناک عذاب ہے،
