أَ لَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الأَْرْضِ ما لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَكُمْ وَ أَرْسَلْنَا السَّماءَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِدْراراً وَ جَعَلْنَا الأَْنْهارَ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْناهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَ أَنْشَأْنا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً آخَرِينَ

أ لم يروا كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكّنّاهم في الأرض ما لم نمكّن لكم و أرسلنا السّماء عليهم مدرارا و جعلنا الأنهار تجري من تحتهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم و أنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين

Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lam numakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhim midraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena

آيا نديده اند که پيش از آنها چه مردمي را هلاک کرده ايم ؟ مردمي که ، درزمين مکانتشان داده بوديم ، آنچنان مکانتي که به شما نداده ايم و برايشان از آسمان بارانهاي پي در پي فرستاديم و رودها از زير پايشان روان ساختيم آنگاه به کيفر گناهانشان هلاکشان کرديم و پس از آنها مردمي ديگر پديد آورديم

آيا نينديشيده اند كه پيش از آنان چه بسيار اقوامى را كه به آنان در روى زمين امكان و اقتدارى داده بوديم كه به شما نداده بوديم، نابود كرديم و براى آنان بارانى پيوسته و پيگير از آسمان نازل كرديم و جويباران را از فرودست آنان جارى ساختيم، آنگاه آنان را به كيفر

آيا نديدى چقدر از اقوام پيشين را بكيفر گناهانشان هلاك كرديم؟ اقوامى كه (از اينان نيرومندتر بودند و) امكاناتى در روى زمين به آنان داده بوديم كه براى شما نداده‏ايم و از آسمان بارانهاى پى در پى بر آنان فرستاديم و از آن نهرها جارى ساختيم، سرانجام آنها را بكيفر گناهانشان نابود كرديم و جماعت ديگرى بجاى آنان بوجود آورديم.

آیا ندانسته اند که پیش از ایشان چه بسیار از ملت ها و اقوام را هلاک کردیم؟ که به آنان در پهنه زمین، نعمت ها و امکاناتی دادیم که به شما ندادیم، و بر آنان باران های پی در پی و پر ریزش فرستادیم و نهرهایی از زیر پای آنان جاری ساختیم [ولی ناسپاسی کردند]؛ پس آنان را به کیفر گناهانشان هلاک کردیم، و بعد از آنان اقوامی دیگر را پدید آوردیم.

آيا كفار قريش نديدند كه بسيارى را هلاك كرديم پيش از ايشان از اهل هر زمانى توانائيشان داديم در زمين آن توانائى كه نداديم شما را و فرستاده بوديم باران را بر ايشان پى در پى و گردانيده بوديم جويهاى آب را كه پيوسته مى‏رفت از زير (قصرها و درختان) ايشان پس نابودشان كرديم به گناهانشان و بوجود آورديم از پس (هلاك) ايشان گروهى ديگر را

آيا نديده‏اند كه پيش از آنان چه بسيار امتها را هلاك كرديم؟ [امتهايى كه‏] در زمين به آنان امكاناتى داديم كه براى شما آن امكانات را فراهم نكرده‏ايم، و [بارانهاى‏] آسمان را پى در پى بر آنان فرو فرستاديم، و رودبارها از زير [شهرهاى‏] آنان روان ساختيم. پس ايشان را به [سزاى‏] گناهانشان هلاك كرديم، و پس از آنان نسلهاى ديگرى پديد آورديم.

مگر نديدند كه پيش از آنها چه بسيار مردم را هلاك كرديم؟ اقوامى كه در زمين به آنها قدرت داده بوديم- قدرتى كه به شما نداديم: بارانى پى‏گير از آسمان بر آنها بارانديم و رودها براى‏شان جارى ساختيم و آن گاه به كيفر گناهانى كه مرتكب شدند نابودشان كرديم و پس از آنها گروهى ديگر را پديد آورديم.

آيا نديدند كه چه بسيار امتها را پيش از ايشان هلاك كرديم و آنان را چندان توانايى و تمكين داده بوديم كه شما را نداده‏ايم و پى در پى بر ايشان باران فرستاديم و نهرها را در زير [پاى‏] آنها جارى ساختيم، پس آنان را به گناهانشان هلاك كرديم و از پس ايشان امتى ديگر بيافريديم.

آيا نديدند كه چندانى را هلاك كرديم پيش از ايشان از قرنى كه صاحب تصرف كرديمشان در زمين آنچه صاحب تصرف نكرديم شما را و فرستاديم ما ابر را برايشان پى در پى و گردانيديم نهرها را كه ميرود از زير ايشان پس هلاك كرديم ايشانرا بسبب گناهانشان و آفريديم از بعد ايشان قرنى ديگر

آيا نديده‏اند كه پيش از آنان چه بسيار از امّتها را هلاك كرديم كه به آنان امكان و اقتدارى در زمين داده بوديم كه به شما [چنان‏] امكان و اقتدارى نداده‏ايم و [باران‏] آسمان را بر آنان پى در پى فرستاديم و جويباران پديد آورديم كه فرودست [خانه‏هاى‏] آنان روان بود. آن گاه آنان را به [كيفر] گناهانشان نابود كرديم و پس از آنها امتى ديگر پديد آورديم

آیا ندیدند چقدر از اقوام پیشین را هلاک کردیم؟! اقوامی که (از شما نیرومندتر بودند؛ و) قدرتهایی به آنها داده بودیم که به شما ندادیم؛ بارانهای پی‌درپی برای آنها فرستادیم؛ و از زیر (آبادیهای) آنها، نهرها را جاری ساختیم؛ (اما هنگامی که سرکشی و طغیان کردند،) آنان را بخاطر گناهانشان نابود کردیم؛ و جمعیت دیگری بعد از آنان پدید آوردیم.

آيا نديدند كه چه گروه‏هايى از مردم را پيش از آنان نابود كرديم، آنان را در زمين چنان جايگاه و توان داديم كه شما را نداديم و بر آنان بارانهاى پياپى فرستاديم و جويها را در زير [پاى‏] آنها روان ساختيم، پس آنان را به سزاى گناهانشان هلاك كرديم، و از پس ايشان مردمى ديگر پديد آورديم.

آيا نديدند كه چندانى را هلاك كرديم پيش از ايشان از قرنى كه صاحب تصرف كرديمشان در زمين آنچه صاحب تصرف نكرديم شما را و فرستاديم ما ابر را بر ايشان پى در پى و گردانيديم نهرها را كه ميرود از زير ايشان پس هلاك كرديم ايشان را بسبب گناهانشان و آفريديم از بعد ايشان قرنى ديگر

آيا نبينند بسا هلاك كرديم پيش از آنان قرنهائى كه توانائيشان داديم در زمين آنچه توانائيتان نداديم و فرستاديم آسمان را بر ايشان ريزاريز و گردانيديم جويها را روان از زير ايشان پس نابودشان نموديم به گناهانشان و آورديم از نو پس از ايشان قرنهائى دگران

آیا ندیدند پیش از ایشان چه بسیار گروهی را هلاک نمودیم و حال آنکه در زمین به آنها قدرت و تمکّنی داده بودیم که شما را نداده‌ایم؟و از آسمان بر آنها باران (رحمت ظاهر و رحمت باطن که کتاب آسمانی است) پیوسته فرستادیم و نهرها در زمین جاری ساختیم، پس چون نافرمانی کردند آن‌ها را هلاک نمودیم و گروهی دیگر بعد از آنها پدید آوردیم.

آيا نديده‌اند كه چه نسل‌هايي را پيش از آنها نابود كرده‌ايم؟ ما در زمين به آنها بيش از شما استقرار داديم و نعمت‌هاي زيادي بر آنها ارزاني داشتيم و برايشان نهرهاي روان جاري ساختيم. سپس آنها را به خاطر گناهانشان هلاك كرديم و نسل ديگري را جايگزين آنها نموديم.

Did they not see/understand how many from before them We destroyed from (a) people of one era/generation/century, We highly positioned them in the earth/Planet Earth, what We did not highly position for you, and We sent the sky/space on them flowing/pouring abundantly, and We made the rivers flow from beneath them, so We destroyed them, because of their crimes, and We created from after them others (another) people of one era/generation/century.

Have they not seen how many a generation before them We have destroyed whom We had established on the earth such as We have not established you? And We poured out on them rain from the sky in abundance, and made the rivers flow under them. Yet We destroyed them for their sins, and created after them other generations.

Have they not regarded how We destroyed before them many a generation We established in the earth, as We never established you, and how We loosed heaven upon them in torrents, and made the rivers to flow beneath them? Then We destroyed them because of their sins, and raised up after them another generation;

Do they not see how many a generation We have destroyed before their time – [people] whom We had given a [bountiful] place on earth, the like of which We never gave unto you, and upon whom We showered heavenly blessings abundant, and at whose feet We made running waters flow? And yet We destroyed them for their sins, and gave rise to other people in their stead.›

Hebben zij niet opgemerkt, hoe vele geslachten wij vr hen hebben vernietigd. Wij hebben hen op de aarde geplaatst op eene wijze zooals wij u niet hebben geplaatst. Wij hebben den hemel gezonden om overvloed op hen te doen regenen, en gaven hun rivieren, die onder hunnen voet stroomden; daarna hebben wij hen om hunne zonden vernietigd, en hebben andere geslachten na hen doen opstaan.

Did they not see how many generations We have destroyed before them? We granted them dominance over the land more than what We granted you, and We sent the clouds to them abundantly, and We made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins, and established after them a new generation.

Hanno considerato quante generazioni abbiamo distrutte prima di loro, che pure avevamo poste sulla terra ben più saldamente? Mandammo loro dal cielo pioggia in abbondanza e creammo fiumi che facemmo scorrere ai loro piedi. Poi le distruggemmo a causa dei loro peccati e suscitammo, dopo ciascuna di loro, un’altra generazione.

Have they not seen how many a generation before them We have destroyed whom We had established on the earth such as We have not established you? And We poured out on them rain from the sky in abundance, and made the rivers flow under them. Yet We destroyed them for their sins, and created after them other generations.

Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation.

See they not how many a generation We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth more firmly than We have established you, and We shed on them abundant showers from the sky, and made the rivers flow beneath them. Yet we destroyed them for their sins, and created after them another generation.

Do not they see how many a generation we have destroyed before them, whom we had settled in the earth as we have not settled for you, and sent the rain of heaven upon them in copious showers, and made the waters flow beneath them? Then we destroyed them in their sins, and raised up other generations after them.

Kendilerinden önce nice yurt ve medeniyeti yerle bir ettiğimizi görmediler mi? Biz o yurtlara yeryüzünde size vermediğimiz imkânları vermiş, üzerlerine gök bereketini bol bol indirmiş, nehirleri altlarından akar hale getirmiştik. Derken, onları kendi günahlarıyla helâk ettik ve arkalarından başka bir nesil oluşturduk.

Have they not seen how many generations We have destroyed before them whom We had established in the land in a way We never established you, sending down for them abundant water from the sky and made the rivers to flow underneath them? Yet because they sinned, We destroyed them and raised up other generations after them.

Do they not see how many a generation Our Law of Requital has annihilated before them? We had established them on earth more firmly than you, and We gave them plenty of blessings of the heavens and the earth, abundant showers from the sky and rivers flowing beneath them. When they trailed behind in humanity, Our Law obliterated them or caused them to be enslaved by another nation.

Have they not seen how many generations before them we have annihilated? We established them on earth more than we did for you, and we showered them with blessings, generously, and we provided them with flowing streams. We then annihilated them because of their sins, and we substituted another generation in their place.

See they not how many generations we have destroyed before them? We had settled them on the earth as we have not settled you, and we sent down the very heavens upon them in copious rains, and we made the rivers to flow beneath their feet: yet we destroyed them in their sins, and raised up other generations to succeed them.

Do they not consider how many generations we have destroyed before them? We had established them in the earth in a manner wherein we have not established you; we sent the heaven to rain abundantly upon them, and we gave them rivers which flowed under their feet: Yet we destroyed them in their sins, and raised up other generations after them.

See they not how many a generation WE have destroyed before them ? WE had established them in the earth as WE have not established you and WE sent the clouds over them, pouring down abundant rain; and WE caused streams to flow beneath them; then did WE destroy them because of their sins and raised up after them another generation.

Sehen sie denn nicht, wie so manches Geschlecht Wir schon vor ihnen vernichtet haben? Diese hatten Wir auf der Erde festgesetzt, wie Wir euch nicht festgesetzt haben; und über sie sandten Wir Wolken, reichlichen Regen ergießend; und unter ihnen ließen Wir Ströme fließen; dann aber tilgten Wir sie aus um ihrer Sünden willen und erweckten nach ihnen ein anderes Geschlecht.

Ужель не видели они, как много поколений ■ Мы погубили и до них? ■ Мы на земле установили им такую силу, ■ Какую вам не доставляли Мы: ■ Им с неба дождь обильно лили, ■ Велели рекам течь в ногах у них. ■ И все ж потом Мы за грехи их погубили ■ И возвели на место их другие поколенья.

کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی امتوں کو ہلاک کر دیا جن کے پاؤں ملک میں ایسے جما دیئے تھے کہ تمہارے پاؤں بھی ایسے نہیں جمائے اور ان پر آسمان سے لگاتار مینہ برسایا اور نہریں بنا دیں جو ان کے (مکانوں کے) نیچے بہہ رہی تھیں پھر ان کو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کر دیا اور ان کے بعد اور امتیں پیدا کر دیں

کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی ہی قوموں کو ہلاک کردیا جنہیں ہم نے زمین میں (ایسا مستحکم) اقتدار دیا تھا کہ ایسا اقتدار (اور جماؤ) تمہیں بھی نہیں دیا اور ہم نے ان پر لگا تار برسنے والی بارش بھیجی اور ہم نے ان (کے مکانات و محلّات) کے نیچے سے نہریں بہائیں پھر (اتنی پُرعشرت زندگی دینے کے باوجود) ہم نے ان کے گناہوں کے باعث انہیں ہلاک کردیا اور ان کے بعد ہم نے دوسری اُمتوں کو پیدا کیا،
