قالُوا تَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ ما جِئْنا لِنُفْسِدَ فِي الأَْرْضِ وَ ما كُنَّا سارِقِينَ

قالوا تاللّه لقد علمتم ما جئنا لنفسد في الأرض و ما كنّا سارقين

Qaloo taAllahi laqad AAalimtum ma ji/na linufsida fee al-ardi wama kunna sariqeena

گفتند : خدا را ، شما خود مي دانيد که ما فساد کردن را در اين سرزمين ، نيامده ايم و دزد نبوده ايم

گفتند به خدا خودتان مى دانيد كه ما نيامده ايم كه در اين سرزمين فتنه و فساد كنيم و ما دزد نيستيم.

اهل كاروان (كنعانيان) گفتند: بخدا قسم كه ما دزد نيستيم. شما خودتان مى‏دانيد كه ما اينجا نيامده‏ايم كه فساد بر پا كنيم و ما هيچوقت دزدى نكرده‏ايم.

گفتند: به خدا سوگند شما به خوبی دانستید که ما نیامده ایم در این سرزمین فساد کنیم، و هیچ گاه دزد نبوده ایم.

گفتند بخدا سوگند نيك مى‏دانيد ما نيامده‏ايم تا تبهكارى كنيم در اين سرزمين و نيستيم ما دزدى كننده

گفتند: «به خدا سوگند، شما خوب مى‏دانيد كه ما نيامده‏ايم در اين سرزمين فساد كنيم و ما دزد نبوده‏ايم.»

گفتند: «به خدا سوگند مى‏دانيد كه ما در اين سرزمين نيامده‏ايم تا فساد كنيم و ما دزد نيستيم.»

گفتند: به خدا سوگند! البته شما مى‏دانيد كه ما نيامده‏ايم تا در زمين [شما] فساد كنيم. و ما دزد نيستيم.

گفتند سوگند بخدا كه بحقيقت دانستيد كه نيامده‏ايم تا فساد كنيم در زمين و نيستيم ما دزدان

گفتند: [سوگند] به خدا، دانسته‏ايد كه ما نيامده‏ايم تا در اين سرزمين فساد كنيم و [هرگز] دزد نبوده‏ايم

گفتند: «به خدا سوگند شما می‌دانید ما نیامده‌ایم که در این سرزمین فساد کنیم؛ و ما (هرگز) دزد نبوده‌ایم!»

گفتند: به خدا سوگند كه شما مى‏دانيد كه ما نيامده‏ايم تا در اين سرزمين تباهى كنيم و ما دزد نبوده‏ايم.

گفتند سوگند بخدا كه بحقيقت دانستيد كه نيامده‏ايم تا فساد كنيم در زمين و نيستيم ما دزدان

گفتند به خدا سوگند شما مى دانيد ما نيامديم تا تبهكارى كنيم در زمين و نبوده ايم دزدان

برادران گفتند: به خدا سوگند که شما به خوبی حال ما را دانسته و شناخته‌اید که برای فساد در این سرزمین نیامده و دزد نبوده‌ایم.

گفتند: به خدا، شما خيلي خوب مي دانيد که ما نيامده ايم تا در اينجا فساد کنيم و ما دزد نيستيم.

They said: «By God, you had known we did not come to corrupt in the land/Earth and we were not stealing/robbing.»

They said: «By Allah! Indeed you know that we came not to make mischief in the land, and we are no thieves!»

‹By God,› they said, ‹you know well that we came not to work corruption in the land. We are not robbers.›

Said [the brothers]: «By God! Well do you know that we have not come to commit deeds of corruption in this land, and that we have not been thieving!» parting, «judgment as to what is to happen rests with none but God». This stress on man’s utter dependence on God – a fundamental tenet of Islam – explains why Jacob’s advice (which in itself is not relevant to the story) has been mentioned in the above Qur’anic narrative.

Jozefs broeders antwoordden: Wij zweren bij God, dat gij wel weet, dat wij niet komen om snood in het land te handelen, en evenzeer dat wij geene dieven zijn.

They said: "By God, you know we did not come to cause corruption in the land, and we are no thieves!"

Dissero: » Per Allah, sapete bene che non siamo venuti a spargere la corruzione sulla terra e che non siamo dei ladri».

They said: "By Allah! Indeed you know that we came not to make mischief in the land, and we are no thieves!"

Они сказали: «Клянемся Аллахом! Вы знаете, что мы не прибыли для того, чтобы распространять нечестие. Мы не являемся ворами».

[Братья] ответили: «Клянемся Аллахом! Ведь вы знаете, что мы прибыли в вашу страну не для того, чтобы совершать преступления. И мы вовсе не воры».

They said: By Allah! you know for certain that we have not come to make mischief in the land, and we are not thieves.

They said: By Allah, well ye know we came not to do evil in the land, and are no thieves.

They said, ‹By God! Ye knew we came not to do evil in the land, and that we were not thieves.›

Kardeşler dediler: «Vallahi, siz de iyi biliyorsunuz ki, biz bu toprağa bozgunculuk yapmak için gelmedik, hırsız da değiliz biz.»

‹By Allah, ‹ they said, ‹you know we did not come to do evil in this land. We are not thieves. ‹

They explained, «By God! Well you know that we did not come here to create mischief in the land, and we are no thieves.»

They said, «By GOD, you know full well that we did not come here to commit evil, nor are we thieves.»

They said, «By God! ye know certainly that we came not to do wrong in the land and we have not been thieves.»

Joseph’s brethren replied, by God, ye do well know, that we come not to act corruptly in the land, neither are we thieves.

They answered, `By ALLAH, you know well that we came not to make mischief in the land, and we are not thieves.›

Sie erwiderten: «Bei Allah, ihr wisset doch, daß wir nicht gekommen sind, um Unheil im Land zu stiften, und wir sind keine Diebe.»

Они сказали: ■ «Мы клянемся Богом! ■ И вы ведь знаете, что мы ■ На эту землю не пришли, ■ Чтобы нечестие здесь сеять. ■ И уж, конечно, мы не воры».

Әйттеләр: «Үзегез беләсез, валлаһи без Мысыр җиренә бозыклык кылырга килмәдек һәм без караклар да түгелбез».

وہ کہنے لگے کہ خدا کی قسم تم کو معلوم ہے کہ ہم (اس) ملک میں اس لیے نہیں آئے کہ خرابی کریں اور نہ ہم چوری کیا کرتے ہیں

وہ کہنے لگے: اﷲ کی قسم! بیشک تم جان گئے ہو (گے) ہم اس لئے نہیں آئے تھے کہ (جرم کا ارتکاب کر کے) زمین میں فساد بپا کریں اور نہ ہی ہم چور ہیں،
