وَ ما جَعَلْناهُمْ جَسَداً لا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعامَ وَ ما كانُوا خالِدِينَ

و ما جعلناهم جسدا لا يأكلون الطّعام و ما كانوا خالدين

Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan la ya/kuloona alttaAAama wama kanoo khalideena

آنها را کالبدهايي نکرديم که به طعام نيازمند نباشند و عمر جاويدان هم نداشتند

و آنان را به صورت پيكرى نساخته بوديم كه خوراك نخورند و [آنان هم] جاودانه نبودند.

ما پيامبران را كالبدى بى‏جان قرار نداديم كه غذا نخوردند و عمر جاودانى هم نداشتند.

و آنان را جسدهایی که غذا نخورند قرار ندادیم، و جاویدان هم نبودند [که از دنیا نروند.]

و قرار نداديم پيمبران را صاحبان كالبدى كه نخورند خوردنى را و نبودند ايشان جاويد ماندگان (در دنيا)

و ايشان را جسدى كه غذا نخورند قرار نداديم و جاويدان [هم‏] نبودند.

آنها را پيكره‏هايى نكرديم كه به تغذيه نيازى نداشته باشند و جاويد هم نبودند.

و آنها [پيامبران را مانند فرشتگان‏] جسدى قرار نداديم، كه غذا نخورند. و آن [پيامبران‏] جاودانى نبودند.

و قرار نداديم ايشانرا جسدى كه نخورند طعام و نبودند جاودانيان

و آنان را پيكرى كه خوراك نخورند، نگردانيديم و جاودانه نبودند

آنان را پیکرهایی که غذا نخورند قرار ندادیم! عمر جاویدان هم نداشتند!

و آنان را كالبدى نساختيم كه طعام نخورند، و جاويدان هم نبودند.

و قرار نداديم ايشان را جسدى كه نخورند طعام و نبودند جاودانيان

و نگردانيديمشان كالبدى كه نخورند خوراك را و نبودند جاودانان

و ما پیغمبران را (چون فرشته) بدون بدن دنیوی قرار ندادیم تا به غذا و طعام محتاج نباشند و در دنیا هم همیشه زنده نماندند.

ما به آنها بدني نداديم که غذا نخورند و عمر جاودان هم نداشتند.

And We did not make/create them a body, they do not eat the food, and they were not immortal/eternal .

And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals,

nor did We fashion them as bodies that ate not food, neither were they immortal;

and neither did We endow them with bodies that could dispense with food nor were they immortal. [Lit., «neither did We fashion them [ie., those apostles] as bodies that ate no food», implying a denial of any supernatural quality in the prophets entrusted with God’s message (cf. 5:75, 13:38 and 25:20, as well as the corresponding notes). The above is an answer to the unbelievers› objection to Muhammad’s prophethood expressed in verse 3 of this surah.]

Wij gaven hun geen lichaam, dat onderhouden kan worden zonder dat zij voedsel gebruikten, en zij waren niet onsterfelijk.

And We did not make for them bodies that do not need to eat, nor were they immortal.

Non ne facemmo corpi che facessero a meno del cibo, e neppure erano eterni.

And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals,

Мы не сотворили их (т. е. посланников) бестелесными существами, не потребляющими пищу, и не были они бессмертными.

And We did not make them bodies not eating the food, and they were not to abide (forever).

We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals.

Nor did we make them bodies not to eat food, nor were they immortal.

Biz onları yemek yemez bir ceset olarak yaratmadık. Onlar sonsuza dek kalıcı da değillerdi.

Nor did We make them bodies that ate no food, nor were they immortal.

We gave them not bodies that won’t require food, nor were they immortal.

We did not give them bodies that did not eat, nor were they immortal.

We gave them not bodies which could dispense with food: and they were not to live for ever.

We gave them not a body which could be supported without their eating food; neither were they immortal.

Nor did WE give them bodies that ate not food, neither were they to live forever.

Und Wir machten ihnen nicht einen Leib, daß sie keine Speise äßen, noch daß sie ewig lebten.

И Мы не делали их телом, ■ Что обходилось бы без пищи ■ Иль не познало б смерти вкус.

Әүвәлге пәйгамбәрләрне дә ашамый торган тәнле кылмадык һәм дөньяда мәңге кала торган да булмадылар.

اور ہم نے ان کے لئے ایسے جسم نہیں بنائے تھے کہ کھانا نہ کھائیں اور نہ وہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے تھے

اور ہم نے ان (انبیاء) کو ایسے جسم والا نہیں بنایا تھا کہ وہ کھانا نہ کھاتے ہوں اور نہ ہی وہ (دنیا میں بہ حیاتِ ظاہری) ہمیشہ رہنے والے تھے،
