وَ قالَ الْمَلأَُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقاءِ الآْخِرَةِ وَ أَتْرَفْناهُمْ فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا ما هذا إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَ يَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ

و قال الملأ من قومه الّذين كفروا و كذّبوا بلقاء الآخرة و أترفناهم في الحياة الدّنيا ما هذا إلاّ بشر مثلكم يأكل ممّا تأكلون منه و يشرب ممّا تشربون

Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqa-i al-akhirati waatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunya ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum ya/kulu mimma ta/kuloona minhu wayashrabu mimma tashraboona

گروهي از مهتران قومش که کافر بودند و ديدار آخرت را دروغ مي شمردند، ودر اين دنيايشان عيش و نعمت داده بوديم ، گفتند : اين مرد انساني است همانند شما ، از آنچه مي خوريد مي خورد و از آنچه مي آشاميد مي آشامد

و بزرگانى از قومش كه كفر ورزيده و لقاى آنجهانى را انكار كرده بودند، و در زندگانى دنيا، از ناز و نعمت برخوردارشان ساخته بوديم، گفتند اين [مرد] جز بشرى همانند شما نيست، كه از همانچه شما از آن مى خوريد، مى خورد و از همانچه شما مى آشاميد، مى آشامد.

بزرگان و ثروتمندان قوم او كه كافر بودند و ديدار آخرت را دروغ مى‏پنداشتند و در زندگى دنيا آنها را بهره‏مند ساخته بوديم، به مردم گفتند: او هم مثل شما بشر است از آنچه شما ميخوريد، او هم ميخورد. از آنچه شما مى‏نوشيد، او هم مى‏نوشد (هيچگونه امتيازى نسبت بشما ندارد).

و از سران و اشراف قومش که کافر بودند و دیدار آخرت را تکذیب می کردند، و آنان را در زندگی دنیا از وسایل و ابزار مادی فراوانی برخوردار کرده بودیم، گفتند: این جز بشری مانند شما نیست که از آنچه شما می خورید می خورد، و از آنچه شما می آشامید می آشامد.

و گفتند بزرگان از قوم وى آنانكه كافر شدند و دروغ شمردند ديدن سراى بازپسين را و كامرانيشان داده بوديم در زندگانى دنيا نيست اين رسول مگر آدمى مانند شما (در صفات بشريت) مى‏خورد از آنچه مى‏خوريد و مى‏آشامد از آنچه مى‏آشاميد

و اشراف قومش كه كافر شده، و ديدار آخرت را دروغ پنداشته بودند، و در زندگى دنيا آنان را مرفّه ساخته بوديم گفتند: «اين [مرد] جز بشرى چون شما نيست: از آنچه مى‏خوريد، مى‏خورد؛ و از آنچه مى‏نوشيد، مى‏نوشد.

سران كفر پيشه قومش كه منكر ديدار آخرت بودند و در زندگى دنيا متنعمشان كرده بوديم، گفتند: «اين مرد نيز چون شما انسانى است، از همان چيزهايى مى‏خورد كه شما مى‏خوريد و از همان چيزهايى مى‏نوشد كه شما مى‏نوشيد.

و گفتند بزرگان قوم او آن كسان كه ناباور شدند و ديدار آخرت را تكذيب كردند و در زندگانى دنيا آسودگيشان داده بوديم كه: نيست اين مگر بشرى كه همانند شما مى‏خورد از آنچه [شما] از آن مى‏خوريد و مى‏آشامد از آنچه [شكت‏] مى‏آشاميد

و گفت آن جمع از قومش آنان كه كافر شدند و تكذيب كردند ملاقات آخرت را و متنعم كرديمشان در زندگانى دنيا نيست اين مگر انسانى مانند شما ميخورد از آنچه ميخوريد از آن و مى‏آشامد از آنچه مى‏آشاميد

و اشرافى از قومش كه كفر ورزيدند و لقاى آن جهانى را دروغ انگاشتند و به آنان در زندگى دنيا آسايش داده بوديم، گفتند: اين [مرد] مگر بشرى مانند شما نيست. از آنچه [شما] مى‏خوريد، از همان مى‏خورد و از آنچه مى‏نوشيد، مى‏نوشد

ولی اشرافیان (خودخواه) از قوم او که کافر بودند، و دیدار آخرت را تکذیب می‌کردند، و در زندگی دنیا به آنان ناز و نعمت داده بودیم، گفتند: «این بشری است مثل شما؛ از آنچه می‌خورید می‌خورد؛ و از آنچه می‌نوشید می‌نوشد! (پس چگونه می‌تواند پیامبر باشد؟!)

و مهتران قومش كه كافر بودند و ديدار آن جهان- يعنى رستاخيز- را باور نداشتند و آنان را در زندگى اين جهان كامرانى داده بوديم، گفتند: اين [مرد] نيست مگر آدميى همچون شما، از آنچه شما مى‏خوريد مى‏خورد و از آنچه مى‏آشاميد مى‏آشامد.

و گفت آن جمع از قومش آنان كه كافر شدند و تكذيب كردند ملاقات آخرت را و متنعم كرديمشان در زندگانى دنيا نيست اين مگر انسانى مانند شما ميخورد از آنچه ميخوريد از آن و مياشامد از آنچه مياشاميد

و گفتند آن گروه از قومش كه كفر ورزيدند و دروغ پنداشتند رسيدن را به آخرت و كامرائيشان داديم در زندگانى دنيا نيست اين جز بشرى مانند شما مى خورد از آنچه مى خوريد از آن و مى نوشد از آنچه مى نوشيد

و باز اشراف و اعیان قوم وی که کافر شدند و عالم آخرت را تکذیب کردند و ما متنعّمشان در حیات دنیا کرده بودیم (به مردم) گفتند که این شخص بشری مانند شما بیش نیست که از هر چه شما بشر می‌خورید و می‌آشامید او هم می‌خورد و می‌آشامد.

رهبران در ميان قومش باور نكردند و عقيده به آخرت را تكذيب نمودند- اگر چه در اين دنيا برايشان سخاوتمندانه روزي فراهم كرديم- آنها گفتند: اين جز بشري مانند شما نيست. او از آنچه شما مي ‌خوريد، مي ‌خورد و مانند شما مي ‌آشامد.

And the assembly/nobles from his nation those who disbelieved and denied/falsified with meeting the end (other life), and We blessed/luxuriated them in the life the present/worldly life said: «That is not except a human equal to you , he eats from what you eat from it, and he drinks from what you drink.»

And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: «He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink.

Said the Council of the unbelievers of his people, who cried lies to the encounter of the world to come, and to whom We had given ease in the present› life, ‹This is naught but a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink.

And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come – [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [Thus Tabari interprets the concise but meaningful phrase atrafnahum fi l-hayati d-dunya. For a fuller explanation of the verb tarifa, see note on 11:116.] – [every time] they would say: «This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink:

En de opperhoofden van zijn volk, dat niet geloofde, dat de ontmoeting des volgenden levens loochende, en aan hetwelk wij overvloed in dit leven schonken, zeiden: Dit is slechts een mensch zooals gij zijt: hij eet van hetgeen gij eet. En hij drinkt van hetgeen gij drinkt.

And the leaders from amongst his people who rejected and denied the meeting of the Hereafter; and We indulged them in this worldly life; said: "What is this but a human like you? He eats from what you eat and he drinks from what you drink."

And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and called the meeting of the hereafter a lie, and whom We had given plenty to enjoy in this world’s life, said: This is nothing but a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat from and drinking of what you drink.

And the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made soft in the life of the world, said: This is only a mortal like you, who eateth of that whereof ye eat and drinketh of that ye drink.

Said the chiefs of his people who misbelieved, and called the meeting of the last day a lie, and to whom we gave enjoyment in the life of this world, ‹This is only a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what ye eat,

Toplumunun, dünya hayatında servet ve refaha ulaştırdığımız halde inkâra sapıp âhiretteki buluşmayı yalanlayan kodaman takımı şöyle dedi: «Bu adam, sadece sizin gibi bir insan; yemekte olduğunuzdan yiyor, içmekte olduğunuzdan içiyor.»

The unbelieving assembly of his nation, who belied the encounter of the Everlasting Life, and on whom We had bestowed ease in this life, said: ‹This is but a human like yourselves; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink.

(And invariably) it was their leaders who refused to acknowledge the Truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter. Simply because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life. Every time such people would say, «This is only a man like you who eats what you eat and drinks as you drink.

The leaders among his people who disbelieved and rejected the idea of the Hereafter – although we provided for them generously in this life – said, «This is no more than a human being like you. He eats from what you eat, and drinks as you drink.

And the chiefs of His people who believed not, and who deemed the meeting with us in the life to come to be a lie, and whom we had richly supplied in this present life, said, «This is but a man like yourselves; he eateth of what ye eat, And he drinketh of what ye drink:

And the chiefs of his people, who believed not, and who denied the meeting of the life to come, and on whom We had bestowed affluence in this present life, said, this is not other than a man, as ye are; he eateth of that whereof ye eat, and he drinketh of that whereof ye drink:

And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter with their Lord and whom WE had afforded ease and comfort in this life, said, `This is but a mortal like yourselves. He eats of that which you eat, and drinks of that which you drink;

Die Häupter seines Volks, die ungläubig waren und die Begegnung im Jenseits leugneten und denen Wir die guten Dinge des irdischen Lebens beschert hatten, sprachen: «Das ist nur ein Mensch wie ihr. Er ißt von dem, was ihr esset, und trinkt von dem, was ihr trinket.

Но молвили вожди его народа ■ Из тех, кто не уверовал (в Аллаха), ■ Считая ложью встречу дальней жизни ■ (В День Воскресения на Суд), – ■ (Из тех), кому Мы дали насладиться ближней жизнью: ■ «Это – всего лишь человек, подобный вам, ■ И ест он то, что вы едите, ■ И пьет он то, что пьете вы.

Пәйгамбәрнең кавеменнән кәфер булып ахирәткә юлыгуны да инкяр итүче олугълары Без аларга дөньяда төрле нигъмәтләр бирдек, алар әйттеләр: «Бу пәйгамбәр түгел, мәгәр сезнең кеби бер кешедер, сезнең ашый юрганыгыздан ашар вә сезнең эчә торганыгыздан эчәр.

تو ان کی قوم کے سردار جو کافر تھے اور آخرت کے آنے کو جھوٹ سمجھتے تھے اور دنیا کی زندگی میں ہم نے ان کو آسودگی دے رکھی تھی۔ کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو تم ہی جیسا آدمی ہے، جس قسم کا کھانا تم کھاتے ہو، اسی طرح کا یہ بھی کھاتا ہے اور جو پانی تم پیتے ہو اسی قسم کا یہ بھی پیتا ہے

اور ان کی قوم کے (بھی وہی) سردار (اور وڈیرے) بول اٹھے جو کفر کر رہے تھے اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلاتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں دنیوی زندگی میں (مال و دولت کی کثرت کے باعث) آسودگی (بھی) دے رکھی تھی (لوگوں سے کہنے لگے) کہ یہ شخص تو محض تمہارے ہی جیسا ایک بشر ہے، وہی چیزیں کھاتا ہے جو تم کھاتے ہو اور وہی کچھ پیتا ہے جو تم پیتے ہو،
