وَ لَقَدْ أَخَذْناهُمْ بِالْعَذابِ فَمَا اسْتَكانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَ ما يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

و لقد أخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربّهم و ما يتضرّعون

Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi fama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona

به عذاب گرفتارشان کرديم پس در مقابل پروردگارشان نه فروتني کردند ونه تضرع

و به راستى آنان را با عذاب فرو گرفتيم، و در برابر پروردگارشان زارى و خاكسارى نكردند.

البته آنها را بعذابى گرفتار ساختيم ولى آنها (متنبه نشده و) بر پروردگارشان فروتنى نكردند و تضرع و زارى ننمودند.

همانا ما آنان را به بلاها و آسیب ها [ی دنیایی] گرفتیم، ولی نه برای پروردگارشان فروتنی کردند و نه به پیشگاهش زاری می کنند،

و بعزتم سوگند كه گرفتيم اهل مكه را به شكنجه (گرسنگى) پس فروتنى نكردند براى پروردگار خود و زارى ننمودند

و به راستى ايشان را به عذاب گرفتار كرديم و[لى‏] نسبت به پروردگارشان فروتنى نكردند و به زارى درنيامدند.

به راستى آنان را گرفتار عذاب كرديم و باز در برابر پروردگار متواضع نشدند و به درگاهش زارى نكردند،

و به يقين ما ايشان را بعذاب بگرفتيم، كه پروردگار خويش را گردن ننهادند و رازى نكردند.

و بتحقيق گرفتيم ايشانرا بعذاب پس ذليل نشدند پروردگارشان را و زارى ننمودند

و آنان را به عذاب گرفتار ساختيم، آن گاه براى پروردگارشان فروتنى و زارى نكردند

ما آنها را به عذاب و بلا گرفتار ساختیم (تا بیدار شوند)، امّا آنان نه در برابر پروردگارشان تواضع کردند، و نه به درگاهش تضرّع می‌کنند!

و هر آينه به عذاب بگرفتيمشان، اما پروردگارشان را فروتنى نكردند و زارى ننمودند

و بتحقيق گرفتيم ايشان را بعذاب پس ذليل نشدند پروردگارشان را و زارى ننمودند

و همانا گرفتيمشان به عذاب پس فروتن نشدند براى پروردگار خويش و نه زارى كنند

و همانا ما آنها را به عذاب سخت گرفتار کردیم و باز آن کافران به تضرع و توبه و ناله رو به درگاه خدای خود نیاوردند.

حتي هنگامي كه آنها را به عذاب گرفتار كرديم، هرگز به پروردگارشان روي نياوردند كه درخواست كنند.

And We had taken/punished them with the torture so they did not become humiliated/disgraced to their Lord, and they do not become humble and humiliate themselves.

And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him.

We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble;

And, indeed, We tested them [Lit., «We took them to task».] through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves

Wij kastijdden hen vroeger met een strijd, maar zij verootmoedigden zich voor hunnen Heer noch richtten hunne smeekingen tot hem.

And when We seized them with the punishment, they did not humble themselves to their Lord nor did they invoke Him.

Già li colpimmo col castigo, ma non si sono arresi al loro Signore, non si sono umiliati.

And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him.

Мы подвергли их мучениям, но они не смирились перед своим Господом и не взмолились перед Ним.

Мы уже подвергли их наказанию, но они не смирились перед своим Господом и не взмолились перед Ним.

And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves.

Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray,

And we caught them with the torment, but they did not abase themselves before their Lord, nor did they humble themselves;

Yemin olsun, biz onları azapla yakaladık. Ama yine de Rablerine boyun eğmediler. Sığınıp yakarmıyorlar.

Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him,

And, indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor implored Him.

Even when we afflicted them with retribution, they never turned to their Lord imploring.

We formerly laid hold on them with chastisement, yet they did not humble them to their Lord, nor did they abase them;

We formerly chastised them with a punishment: Yet they did not humble themselves before their Lord, neither did they make supplications unto Him;

WE had already seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves before their Lord, nor they would supplicate in lowliness;

Wir haben sie mit Strafe erfaßt, doch sie haben sich ihrem Herrn nicht unterworfen, noch haben sie sich gedemütigt –

Мы поразили карой их – ■ Они же перед Господом своим не укротились, ■ К Нему смиренно не воззвали.

Тәхкыйк аларны ґәзаб белән тоттык, алар Раббыларына буйсынмадылар һәм тәүбә итеп ялвармадылар.

اور ہم نے ان کو عذاب میں پکڑا تو بھی انہوں نے خدا کے آگے عاجزی نہ کی اور وہ عاجزی کرتے ہی نہیں

اور بیشک ہم نے انہیں عذاب میں پکڑ لیا پھر (بھی) انہوں نے اپنے رب کے لئے عاجزی اختیار نہ کی اور نہ وہ (اس کے حضور) گڑگڑائے،
