قالُوا تَقاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ ما شَهِدْنا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَ إِنَّا لَصادِقُونَ

قالوا تقاسموا باللّه لنبيّتنّه و أهله ثمّ لنقولنّ لوليّه ما شهدنا مهلك أهله و إنّا لصادقون

Qaloo taqasamoo biAllahi lanubayyitannahu waahlahu thumma lanaqoolanna liwaliyyihi ma shahidna mahlika ahlihi wa-inna lasadiqoona

، گفتند : به خدا سوگند خوريد که بر او و کسانش شبيخون زنيم و چون کسي به طلب خونش برخيزد ، بگوييم : ما به هنگام هلاکت کسان او آنجا نبوده ايم ، و ما راست گفتاريم

گفتند به خدا همقسم شويد، بر او و خانواده اش شبيخون مى زنيم، سپس به خونخواهش مى گوييم كه ما در كشتار خانواده اش حاضر و ناظر نبوده ايم، و ما راستگوييم.

آنها گفتند: بخدا سوگند ياد كنيد كه صالح و كسان او را (مخفيانه) بقتل برسانيم و بعد به ولى او مى‏گوييم كه ما در مورد قتل آنها هيچگونه اطلاعى نداريم. البته ما راست مى‏گوئيم.

[آنان به یکدیگر] گفتند: هم قسم شوید که حتماً به صالح و خانواده اش شبیخون می زنیم [تا همه را نابود کنیم] ، آن گاه به خونخواهش بگوییم: ما زمان هلاک شدن خانواده اش حضور نداشتیم و یقیناً راستگوییم.

گفتند با يكديگر در حاليكه سوگند ياد بودند بخدا كه شبيخون مى‏زنيم بر صالح و كسانش سپس مى‏گوئيم به خونخواهش ما حاضر نبوديم محل هلاك كسان وى را و البته ما راستگويانيم

[با هم‏] گفتند: «با يكديگر سوگند بخوريد كه: حتماً به [صالح‏] و كسانش شبيخون مى‏زنيم، سپس به ولىّ او خواهيم گفت: ما در محل قتل كسانش حاضر نبوديم، و ما قطعاً راست مى‏گوييم.»

گفتند: «هم قسم شويد كه او و كسانش را شبانه از بين ببريم و به خوانخواه او بگوييم كه ما از نابودى آنها خبر نداريم و ما راست مى‏گوييم.»

[در ميان خود] گفتند: بخدا سوگند بخوريد كه به صالح شبيخون بزنيم سپس به ولىّ [خون‏] او بگوييم كه: ما شاهد [قتل او] و محل قتل كسان او نبوديم و ما راست مى‏گوييم.

گفتند سوگند خوريم با هم بخدا كه هر آينه شبيخون ميزنيم او را و اهلش را سپس هر آينه ميگوئيم وارث او را كه حاضر نبوديم در جاى هلاك اهل او و بدرستيكه ما هر آينه راستگويانيم

در حالى كه با يكديگر به خداوند سوگند ياد مى‏كردند، گفتند: قطعا بر او و خانواده‏اش شبيخون زنيم سپس به وارثش مى‏گوييم، هنگام هلاكت خانواده‏اش حاضر نبوديم و ما راستگوييم

آنها گفتند: «بیایید قسم یاد کنید به خدا که بر او [= صالح‌] و خانواده اش شبیخون می زنیم (و آنها را به قتل می‌رسانیم؛) سپس به ولیّ دم او می‌گوییم: ما هرگز از هلاکت خانواده او خبر نداشتیم و در این گفتار خود صادق هستیم!»

گفتند: به خدا سوگند خوريد- يا: در حالى كه به خدا سوگند خوردند گفتند- كه بر او و خاندانش شبيخون بريم، سپس به خونخواه او گوييم: ما هلاك شدن [او و] خاندان او را نديده‏ايم- يا حاضر نبوده‏ايم- و همانا ما راستگوييم.

گفتند سوگند خورديم با هم بخدا كه هر آينه شبيخون ميزنيم او را و اهلش را سپس هر آينه ميگوئيم وارث او را كه حاضر نبوديم در جاى هلاك اهل او و بدرستى كه ما هر آينه راستگويانيم

گفتند سوگند ياد كنيد به خدا كه شبيخون آريم بر او و خاندانش و سپس گوئيم به ولىّ او كه نديديم (يا گواهى نداديم) هلاك خويشاوندش را (يا خاندانش را) و هر آينه مائيم راستگويان

آن رؤسای مفسد (به قوم صالح) گفتند که شما هم قسم شوید که با هم شبیخون زنیم و شبانه صالح را به قتل برسانیم، آن گاه به وارث او همه شهادت خواهیم داد که ما در مکان ارتکاب قتل (او و) اهلش حاضر نبودیم و البته ما راستگوییم.

آنها گفتند: بياييد به خدا سوگند ياد كنيم كه او و قومش را بكشيم، سپس به قبيله‌اش بگوييم: ما درباره مرگ آنها چيزي نمي ‌دانيم. ما راستگو هستيم.

They said: «Swear/make oath (to each other) by God: ‹We will attack him suddenly at night (E) and his people/family , then we will say (E) to his guardian/ally , we did not witness his people’s/family’s death/destruction , and we are (E) truthful (E).› «

They said: «Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.»

they said, ‹Swear you, one to another, by God, «We will attack him and his family by night, then we will tell his protector, We were not witnesses of the destruction of his family; and assuredly we are truthful men.»‹

[and] after having bound one another by an oath in God’s name, they said: [Lit., «by God». As is evident from 7:73 ff. and from the above allusion, the Thamud did have a vague notion of God, but their erstwhile faith had been overlaid by their excessive arrogance and thus deprived of all spiritual value.] «Indeed, we shall suddenly fall upon him and his household by night [and slay them all]; and then we shall boldly say to his next of kin, `We did not witness the destruction of his household – and, behold, we are indeed men of truth!› «

Deze zeiden tot elkander: Zweert wederkeerig bij God, dat wij Saleh en zijn gezin des nachts zullen overvallen, en daarna zullen wij tot dengeen zeggen, die het recht heeft zijn bloed te wreken: Wij waren volstrekt niet tegenwoordig bij de uitroeiing van zijn gezin: en wij spreken de waarheid.

They said: "Swear by God to one another that we will attack him and his family at night, and we will then say to his supporters: "We did not witness who murdered his family, and we are being truthful""

Dissero, giurando fra loro [in nome] di Allah: «Attaccheremo di notte, lui e la sua famiglia. Poi diremo a chi vorrà vendicarlo: » Non siamo stati testimoni dello sterminio della sua famiglia. Davvero siamo sinceri»».

They said: "Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth."

Они сказали: «Поклянитесь друг другу Аллахом, что, мол, мы ночью нападем на Салиха и его семью, а потом объявим его ближайшему родственнику : «Мы не присутствовали при убиении его семьи, и мы говорим правду»».

They said: Swear to each other by Allah that we will certainly make a sudden attack on him and his family by night, then we will say to his heir: We did not witness the destruction of his family, and we are most surely truthful.

They said: Swear one to another by Allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night, and afterward we will surely say unto his friend: We witnessed not the destruction of his household. And lo! we are truthtellers.

Said they, ‹Swear to each other by God, we will surely fall on him by night and on his people; then we will surely say unto his next of kin, » We witnessed not the destruction of his people, and we do surely tell the truth!»‹

Allah adına yeminleşerek şöyle dediler: «Ona ve ailesine bir gece baskını yapalım, sonra da velisine şöyle diyelim: Biz onların ailesinin öldürülüşüne tanık olmadık. Vallahi, doğru söyleyenleriz.»

They said: ‹Let us swear by Allah to attack him and his family at night, then we will tell his guardian we were not witnesses of the destruction of his family; and surely we are truthful. ‹

They called a meeting and after swearing to one another in the name of Allah, said, «Indeed, we shall ambush him and his family by night, and afterward we shall boldly say to his tribe, We know nothing about their death. And, behold, we are men of truth.› »

They said, «Let us swear by GOD that we kill him and his people, then tell his tribe, `We know nothing about their death. We are truthful.› «

They said, «Swear ye to one another by God that we will surely fall on him and on his family by night: then will be say to the avenger of blood, we witnessed not the destruction of his family: and verily we speak the truth.»

And they said unto one another, swear ye reciprocally by God, that we will fall upon Saleh and his family by night: And afterwards we will say unto him who hath right to avenge his blood, we were not so much as present at the destruction of his family; and we certainly speak the truth.

They said, `Swear one to another by ALLAH that we will surely attack him and his family by night, and then we will say to his heir, `We witnessed not the destruction of his family, and most surely we are truthful.›

Sie sprachen: «Schwöret einander bei Allah zu, daß wir gewißlich ihn (Sáleh) und seine Angehörigen nachts überfallen wollen, und dann wollen wir zu seinem Hinterlassenen sagen: «Wir waren nicht Zeugen beim Untergang seiner Familie, und wir reden bestimmt die Wahrheit.»»

Они сказали: ■ «Клянитесь именем Аллаха друг пред другом, ■ Что ночью нападем тайком ■ На Салеха и все его семейство. ■ Потом же скажем мстителю его крови: ■ «Мы не были при гибели его семьи – ■ И правду говорим мы».

Бер-берсенә әйттеләр: «Аллаһ исеме белән ант итешегез, төнлә Салихны һәм җәмәгатен басып кереп үтерәбез, соңра аларның кан хакын таләп итүче вәлиенә, без аларны үтерүчеләр янында булмадык, кемнәр үтергәнен белмибез вә без бу сүзләребезне дөрес сөйлибез диярбез», – диделәр.

کہنے لگے کہ خدا کی قسم کھاؤ کہ ہم رات کو اس پر اور اس کے گھر والوں پر شب خون ماریں گے پھر اس کے وارث سے کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم تو صالح کے گھر والوں کے موقع ہلاکت پر گئے ہی نہیں اور ہم سچ کہتے ہیں

(ان سرغنوں نے) کہا: تم آپس میں اللہ کی قسم کھا کر عہد کرو کہ ہم ضرور رات کو صالح (علیہ السلام) اور اس کے گھر والوں پر قاتلانہ حملہ کریں گے پھر ان کے وارثوں سے کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم ان کی ہلاکت کے موقع پر حاضر ہی نہ تھے اور بیشک ہم سچے ہیں،
