إِنَّكَ لا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتى وَ لا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعاءَ إِذا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ

إنّك لا تسمع الموتى و لا تسمع الصّمّ الدّعاء إذا ولّوا مدبرين

Innaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena

تو نمي تواني مردگان را شنوا سازي و آواز خود را به گوش کراني که از توروي بر مي گردانند برساني

تو مردگان را [سخن] نشنوانى، و به ناشنوايان [به ويژه] چون پشت كنند آوايى نشنوانى.

مسلما تو قادر نيستى كه بر مردگان سخنى بشنوانى و نمى‏توانى با صدا كردن، كران را شنوا سازى (بخصوص) هنگامى كه پشت كرده و برگردند.

بی تردید تو نمی توانی [دعوتت را] به مردگان بشنوانی، و نیز نمی توانی آن را به کران که پشت کنان روی برمی گردانند بشنوانی،

بيگمان تو نتوانى شنوانيد مردگان را و نتوانى شنوانيد به كران بانگ را آنگه كه برگردند در حالى كه اعراض كننده‏اند

البته تو مردگان را شنوا نمى‏گردانى، و اين ندا را به كران -چون پشت بگردانند- نمى‏توانى بشنوانى.

نمى‏توانى سخنت را به گوش مردگان بشنوانى و هنگامى كه كرها روى مى‏گردانند نمى‏توانى به آنها سخن بشنوانى.

بيگمان تو مردگان را نشنوانى و نشنوانى كران را بخواندن [آنها، بويژه‏] آن گاه كه آنان [به عناد] پشت كنند و برگردند.

بدرستيكه تو نمى‏شنوانى مردگانرا و نمى‏شنوانى به كران ندا را چون برگردند پشت كنندگان

تو نمى‏توانى به مردگان بشنوانى و نمى‏توانى به كران هنگامى كه پشت‏كنان روى بگردانند، آواز بشنوانى

مسلّماً تو نمی‌توانی سخنت را به گوش مردگان برسانی، و نمی‌توانی کران را هنگامی که روی برمی‌گردانند و پشت می‌کنند فراخوانی!

تو نتوانى كه مردگان را بشنوانى، و نه به كران آواى دعوت را بشنوانى آنگاه كه پشت كرده برمى‏گردند.

بدرستى كه تو نمى‏شنوانى مردگان را و نمى‏شنوانى به كران ندا را چون برگردند پشت كنندگان

هرآينه نشنوانى تو مُردگان را و نشنوانى به كران بانگ را گاهى كه برگردند پشت كنان

همانا تو نتوانی که مردگان (و مرده دلان کفر) را سخنی بشنوانی و یا کران (باطن) را که از گفتارت روی می‌گردانند به دعوت (به حقیقت) شنوا کنی.

تو نمي تواني مرده و كر را وادار كني تا صدا را بشنوند، اگر روي گردانند.

That you do not make the deads hear/listen, and you do not make the deaf hear/listen (to) the call/prayer if they turned away giving their backs.

Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs.

Thou shalt not make the dead to hear, neither shalt thou make the deaf to hear the call when they turn about, retreating.

[But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away,

Waarlijk, gij zult de dooden niet hoorende maken, noch zult gij de dooven uwe oproeping tot het ware geloof doen hooren, als zij zich verwijderen en u hunne ruggen toewenden.

You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and flee.

Ты не заставишь слышать мертвецов и не заставишь глухих услышать твой призыв, когда они обращаются вспять.

Воистину, ты не заставишь услышать [твой] призыв ни мертвеца, ни глухого, [тем более] когда они поворачивают назад.

Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating.

Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee;

Verily, thou canst not make the dead to hear, and thou canst not make the deaf to hear the call when they turn their backs on thee;

Sen, ölülere işittiremezsin. Eğer dönüp giderlerse, sağırlara da çağrıyı duyuramazsın.

You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating.

But verily, you cannot make the dead (or the «living-dead») hear, nor can you make the deaf of heart to hear the call when they turn back to retreat.

Du kannst die Toten nicht hörend machen, noch kannst du bewirken, daß die Tauben den Anruf hören, wenn sie den Rücken kehren;

Поистине, ты мертвых не заставишь слышать, ■ Ты не заставишь и глухих ■ Услышать зов (к Господней правде), ■ Когда они, (к тебе) спиною обратясь, уходят.

Мәет кеби имансызларга син хак сүзне ишеттерә алмассың вәгазь сөйләп һидәяткә чакыруыңны да ишетә алмассың, әгәр хактан дүнеп ялганга йөз тотсалар.

کچھ شک نہیں کہ تم مردوں کو (بات) نہیں سنا سکتے اور نہ بہروں کو جب کہ وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر پھر جائیں آواز سنا سکتے ہو

بیشک آپ نہ (تو حیاتِ ایمانی سے محروم) مُردوں کو (حق کی بات) سنا سکتے ہیں اور نہ ہی (ایسے) بہروں کو (ہدایت کی) پکار سنا سکتے ہیں جبکہ وہ (غلبۂ کفر کے باعث ہدایت سے) پیٹھ پھیر کر (قبولِ حق سے) رُوگرداں ہو رہے ہوں،
