وَ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنا نُوحاً إِلى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلاَّ خَمْسِينَ عاماً فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفانُ وَ هُمْ ظالِمُونَ

و لقد أرسلنا نوحا إلى قومه فلبث فيهم ألف سنة إلاّ خمسين عاما فأخذهم الطّوفان و هم ظالمون

Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena AAaman faakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona

ما نوح را بر مردمش به پيامبري فرستاديم او هزار سال و پنجاه سال کم در ميان آنان بزيست و چون مردمي ستم پيشه بودند ، طوفانشان فرو گرفت

و به راستى نوح را به سوى قومش [به رسالت] فرستاديم و در ميان آنان هزار سال منهاى پنجاه سال به سر برد; آنگاه طوفان [سيل و بل] آنان را فرو گرفت، در حالى كه ايشان ستمكار [مشرك] بودند.

ما نوح را براى هدايت قومش برسالت فرستاديم و او هزار سال منهاى پنجاه سال در ميان قومش ماند (و مردم را به يكتاپرستى دعوت نمود. ولى مردم دعوت او را رد كردند) و چون همه‏شان ستمگر و ظالم بودند، طوفان سهمگين و بنيان كن همه آنها را گرفتار ساخت.

و همانا نوح را به سوی قومش فرستادیم پس نهصد و پنجاه سال در میانشان درنگ کرد [ولی بیشتر مردم به او ایمان نیاوردند] ، سرانجام توفان آنان را در حالی که ستمکار بودند، فرا گرفت.

و بعزتم سوگند كه البته فرستاديم نوح را بسوى قومش پس درنگ كرد در ميان ايشان هزار سال مگر پنجاه سال پس گرفت گروه نوح را طوفان آب در حاليكه ايشان بيدادگر بودند

و به راستى، نوح را به سوى قومش فرستاديم، پس در ميان آنان نهصد و پنجاه سال درنگ كرد، تا طوفان آنها را در حالى كه ستمكار بودند فرا گرفت.

نوح را به سوى قومش فرستاديم. او نهصد و پنجاه سال در ميان مردمى زيست كه چون ستمگر بودند طوفان به كامشان دركشيد.

و به تحقيق [ما] نوح را بسوى قومش فرستاديم و [او] در [ميان‏] آنها هزار سال بماند، مگر پنجاه سال، پس طوفان آنها را فرا گرفت و آنها ستمكار بودند.

و بتحقيق فرستاديم نوح را بسوى قومش پس درنگ كرد در ايشان هزار سال منهاى پنجاه سال پس گرفت ايشانرا طوفان و ايشان بودند ستمكاران

و به راستى كه نوح را به سوى قومش فرستاديم، و در ميان آنان هزار سال منهاى پنجاه سال ماند. آن گاه طوفان آنان را در حالى كه ستمكار بودند فرو گرفت

و ما نوح را بسوی قومش فرستادیم؛ و او را در میان آنان هزار سال مگر پنجاه سال، درنگ کرد؛ اما سرانجام طوفان و سیلاب آنان را فراگرفت در حالی که ظالم بودند.

و هر آينه نوح را به سوى قومش فرستاديم، پس هزار سال، مگر پنجاه سال، در ميان آنان [به پيامبرى‏] درنگ كرد، پس [عذاب‏] طوفان آنها را بگرفت در حالى كه ستمكار بودند.

و بتحقيق فرستاديم نوح را بسوى قومش پس درنگ كرد در ايشان هزار سال منهاى پنجاه سال پس گرفت ايشان را طوفان و ايشان بودند ستمكاران

و همانا فرستاديم نوح را بسوى قومش پس ماند در ايشان هزار سال مگر پنجاه سال پس گرفت ايشان را طوفان حالى كه بودند ستمگران

و همانا نوح را (به رسالت) به سوی قومش فرستادیم و او هزار سال پنجاه سال کم میان قوم درنگ کرد، و چون همه ستمگر و ظالم بودند همه را طوفان هلاک فرا گرفت.

ما نوح را نزد قومش فرستاديم و او هزار سال، منهاي پنجاه با آنها به سر برد. درنتيجه، آنها براي ستمكاري ‌هايشان گرفتار سيل شدند.

And We had sent Noah to his nation, so he stayed/waited/remained in (between) them one thousand year(s) except fifty year(s), so the deadly/great flood punished them , and (while) they are unjust/oppressive.

And indeed We sent Nooh (Noah) to his people, and he stayed among them a thousand years less fifty years (inviting them to believe in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism), and discard the false gods and other deities), and the Deluge overtook them while they were Zalimoon (wrong-doers, polytheists, disbelievers, etc.).

Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years, all but fifty; so the Flood seized them, while they were evildoers.

And, indeed, [in times long past] We sent forth Noah unto his people, [This passage connects with verse 2 above. «We did test those who lived before them». The story of Noah and of his failure to convert his people occurs in the Quran several times, and most extensively in 11:25 – 48. In the present instance it is meant to illustrate the truth that no one – not even a prophet – can bestow faith on another person (cf. 28:56 – «thou canst not guide aright everyone whom thou lovest»). The same purport underlies the subsequent references, in verses 16 – 40, to other prophets.] and he dwelt among them a thousand years bar fifty; [Sc., «and despite this great length of time was unable to convince them of the truth of his mission». The identical figure – 950 years – is given in the Bible (Genesis ix, 29) as Noah’s life span. By repeating this element of the Biblical legend, the Quran merely stresses the fact that the duration of a prophet’s mission has nothing to do with its success or failure, since «all true guidance is God’s guidance»

Wij zonden vroeger Noach tot zijn volk, en hij bleef duizend jaren min vijftig jaren onder hen, en de zondvloed nam hen weg, omdat zij onrechtvaardig handelden.

And We had sent Noah to his people, so he stayed with them one thousand years less fifty calendar years. Then the flood took them while they were wicked.

And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. And the deluge overtook them, while they were unjust.

And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers.

And we sent Noah to his people, and he dwelt among them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the deluge overtook them while they were unjust:

Yemin olsun, biz Nûh’u toplumuna gönderdik de o onların arasında bin yıldan elli yıl eksik kaldı. Sonunda onları tufan yakaladı. Çünkü zalimlerdi onlar.

Indeed, We sent Noah to his nation, and he lived amongst them for a thousand years, less fifty (but they belied him), then the Flood seized them while they were harmdoers.

And, indeed, We sent Noah to his nation, and his Message survived among his followers a thousand years less fifty. The flood overwhelmed the rejecters, for they used to violate human rights.

We sent Noah to his people, and he stayed with them one thousand years, less fifty. Subsequently, they incurred the flood because of their transgressions.

Of old sent we Noah to his people: a thousand years save fifty did he tarry among them; and the flood overtook them in their wrongful doings:

We heretofore sent Noah unto his people; and he tarried among them one thousand years, save fifty years: And the deluge took them away, while they were acting unjustly;

And WE, certainly, sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years, short of fifty years. Then the deluge overtook them, while they were wrongdoers.

Wir sandten Noah zu seinem Volke, und er weilte unter ihnen tausend Jahre weniger fünfzig Jahre. Da ereilte sie die Sintflut, weil sie Missetäter waren.

Послали Нуха Мы к его народу; ■ Среди него он пробыл без пятидесяти тысячу годов. ■ Но их постиг потоп, ■ Когда (в неверии своем) в грехах они погрязли.

Тәхкыйк Нухны кавеменә пәйгамбәр итеп җибәрдек, ул кавеме эчендә аларны дингә өндәп тугыз йөз илле ел торды, кавеме исә иман китермичә залим булдылар һәм аларны Туфан суы тотты.

اور ہم نے نوحؑ کو اُن کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو وہ ان میں پچاس برس کم ہزار برس رہے پھر اُن کو طوفان (کے عذاب) نے آپکڑا۔ اور وہ ظالم تھے

اور بیشک ہم نے نوح (علیہ السلام) کو ان کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو وہ ان میں پچاس برس کم ایک ہزار سال رہے، پھر ان لوگوں کو طوفان نے آپکڑا اس حال میں کہ وہ ظالم تھے،
