وَ لَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْعَذابِ الأَْدْنى دُونَ الْعَذابِ الأَْكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

و لنذيقنّهم من العذاب الأدنى دون العذاب الأكبر لعلّهم يرجعون

Walanutheeqannahum mina alAAathabi al-adna doona alAAathabi al-akbari laAAallahum yarjiAAoona

و عذاب دنيا را پيش از آن عذاب بزرگ تر به ايشان بچشانيم ، باشد که باز، گردند

و به ايشان عذاب كوچكتر را غير از عذاب بزرگتر، مى چشانيم باشد كه باز گردند.

البته اندك عذابى قبل از عذاب عظيم (قيامت، در دنيا) به آنان مى‏چشانيم باشد كه آنان (از راه خطا) بازگردند.

و بی تردید آنان را غیر از عذاب بزرگ تر [در قیامت] از عذاب نزدیک تر [در دنیا] می چشانیم، باشد که [از فسق و فجور] برگردند.

و بعزتم سوگند كه البته بچشانيم بايشان از عذاب نزديكتر (چون قحطى و بيمارى) غير عذاب بزرگتر (كه آن عذاب قيامت است) شايد كه ايشان برگردند (بسوى ما)

و قطعاً غير از آن عذاب بزرگتر، از عذاب اين دنيا [نيز] به آنان مى‏چشانيم، اميد كه آنها [به خدا] بازگردند.

و قبل از عذاب آخرت عذاب دنيا را به آنها مى‏چشانيم، شايد باز گردند.

و بيقين بچشانيم آنها را از عذاب دنيا، پيش از [آن كه‏] عذاب بزرگ‏تر [آخرت فراز آيد]، باشد كه آنها [براه حق‏] باز گردند.

و هر آينه ميچشانيمشان از آن عذاب نزديكتر غير از عذاب بزرگتر باشد كه ايشان بازگردند

و به يقين به آنان عذاب نزديك [اين جهانى‏] را قبل از عذاب بزرگ مى‏چشانيم، باشد كه آنان باز گردند

به آنان از عذاب نزدیک (عذاب این دنیا) پیش از عذاب بزرگ (آخرت) می‌چشانیم، شاید بازگردند!

و هر آينه آنان را از عذاب نزديكتر و كهتر- خوارى و فروماندگى يا قحط و گزند- پيش از عذاب بزرگتر بچشانيم باشد كه بازگردند.

و هر آينه ميچشانيمشان از آن عذاب نزديكتر غير از عذاب بزرگتر باشد كه ايشان باز گردند

و همانا بچشانيمشان از شكنجه نزديك نارسيده به شكنجه بزرگ باشد ايشان بازگردند

و البته ما کافران را عذاب نزدیک‌تر (و کمتر به بلاهای دنیا یا در برزخ) بچشانیم غیر آن عذاب بزرگتر و شدیدتر (قیامت یا قیام حجّت عصر علیه السّلام) تا مگر (متنبّه و پشیمان از کفر و عصیان شوند و به سوی خدا) باز گردند.

ما مي گذاريم تا آنها عذاب كوچك تر (اين دنيا) را بچشند، پيش از آنكه به عذاب بزرگ تر (آخرت) گرفتار شوند، باشد كه (به خود بيايند و) اصلاح شوند.

And We will make them taste/experience (E) from the torture the nearest , other than the torture the greatest , maybe/perhaps they return.

And verily, We will make them taste of the near torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam).

And We shall surely let them taste the nearer chastisement, before the greater; haply so they will return.

However, ere [We condemn them to] that supreme suffering, We shall most certainly let them taste of a suffering closer at hand, [Lit., «nearer», i.e., in this world: for an explanation, see note on 52:47.] so that they might [repent and] mend their ways. [Lit., «so that they might return (to righteousness)».]

En wij zullen hun de lichtere straf dezer wereld doen lijden, buiten de strengere straf der volgende wereld; misschien zullen zij berouw gevoelen.

And We will let them taste the worldly retribution before the greater retribution, perhaps they will revert.

Daremo loro un castigo immediato prima del castigo più grande, affinché ritornino [sulla retta via].

And verily, We will make them taste of the near torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam).

Но помимо величайших мучений Мы непременно дадим им вкусить меньшие мучения, чтобы они могли вернуться на прямой путь.

Мы дадим им вкусить и наказание в этом мире помимо величайшего наказания. Может быть, тогда они вернутся [на правый путь].

And most certainly We will make them taste of the nearer chastisement before the greater chastisement that haply they may turn.

And verily We make them taste the lower punishment before the greater, that haply they may return.

and we will surely make them taste of the torment of the nearer torment beside the greater torment, – haply they may yet return.

Belki dönerler diye, onlara o büyük azaptan ayrı olarak, o küçük azaptan da mutlaka tattıracağız.

But We will let them taste the nearest punishment (in this life) before the greater punishment, so that they may return (to faith).

And verily, We make (the violators of the Divine Law) taste the punishment closer at hand before the Greater punishment, so that they might return to righteousness.

We let them taste the smaller retribution (of this world), before they incur the greater retribution (of the Hereafter), that they may (take a hint and) reform.

And we will surely cause them to taste a punishment yet nearer at hand, besides the greater punishment, that haply they may turn to us in penitence.

And we will cause them to taste the nearer punishment of this world, besides the more grievous punishment of the next; peradventure they will repent.

And most surely WE will make them taste of the lesser punishment before the greater punishment, that they may return to US with repentance.

Wahrlich, Wir werden sie von der näheren Strafe (hienieden) kosten lassen vor der größeren Strafe, ob sie sich vielleicht doch noch bekehren.

(Но прежде) ■ Мы дадим вкусить им кару ближней (жизни), ■ Прежде чем их подвергнуть величайшей (каре во второй), ■ Чтобы могли покаяться они и (к Нам) вернуться.

Аларга ахирәтнең олугъ ґәзабыннан элек дөньяда да, әлбәттә, газапны татытачакбыз, шаять калганнары тәүбә итеп иманга килерләр.

اور ہم اُن کو (قیامت کے) بڑے عذاب کے سوا عذاب دنیا کا بھی مزہ چکھائیں گے۔ شاید (ہماری طرف) لوٹ آئیں

اور ہم ان کو یقیناً (آخرت کے) بڑے عذاب سے پہلے قریب تر (دنیوی) عذاب (کا مزہ) چکھائیں گے تاکہ وہ (کفر سے) باز آجائیں،
