وَ لَقَدْ كانُوا عاهَدُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ لا يُوَلُّونَ الأَْدْبارَ وَ كانَ عَهْدُ اللَّهِ مَسْؤُلاً

و لقد كانوا عاهدوا اللّه من قبل لا يولّون الأدبار و كان عهد اللّه مسؤلا

Walaqad kanoo AAahadoo Allaha min qablu la yuwalloona al-adbara wakana AAahdu Allahi mas-oolan

اينان پيش از اين با خدا پيمان بسته بودند که در جنگ به دشمن پشت نکنند خدا از پيمان خود بازخواست خواهد کرد

و همينان بودند كه پيشترها با خداوند پيمان بسته بودند كه [پايدارى ورزند و] پشت نكنند، و پيمان الهى بازخواست دارد.

در حالى كه آنان قبل از اين با خدا عهد و پيمان داشتند كه هرگز پشت به دشمن نكنند و در برابر اين عهد و پيمان خدا، سخت مسئولند.

و همانا آنان از پیش با خدا پیمان بسته بودند که [به دشمن] پشت نکنند؛ و پیمان خدا همواره بازخواست شدنی است.

و بعزتم سوگند كه البته ايشان پيمان بسته بودند با خداى پيش از اين (در روز احد) كه برنگردانند پشتهاى خود را (در كارزار) و هست پيمانى كه با خدا بسته‏اند بازخواست شدنى

با آنكه قبلاً با خدا سخت پيمان بسته بودند كه پشت [به دشمن‏] نكنند، و پيمان خدا همواره بازخواست دارد.

حال آن كه آنها پيش از اين با خدا پيمان بسته بودند كه به دشمن پشت نكنند و خدا از پيمان خود بازخواست خواهد كرد.

و پيش از اين با خدا پيمان بسته بودند كه پشت [بر دشمن‏] نكنند. و پيمان خدا [را خوار مداريد كه آن‏] پرسيدنى باشد.

و در حقيقت بودند كه عهد كردند با خدا از پيش كه نگردانند پشتها را و باشد عهد خدا پرسيده شده

و به راستى كه پيش از اين با خداوند پيمان بسته بودند كه پشت نكنند. و پيمان خداوند بازخواست دارد

(در حالی که) آنان قبل از این با خدا عهد کرده بودند که پشت به دشمن نکنند؛ و عهد الهی مورد سؤال قرار خواهد گرفت (و در برابر آن مسؤولند)!

و هر آينه اينان پيش از اين با خدا پيمان بسته بودند كه پشت نكنند و نگريزند، و پيمان خدا بازخواست شدنى است.

و در حقيقت بودند كه عهد كردند با خدا از پيش كه نگردانند پشتها را و باشد عهد خدا پرسيده شده

و همانا بودند پيمان بستند با خدا از پيش كه برنتابند پشتها را و هست پيمان خدا پرسش شده

و آن منافقان از این پیش (در جنگ احد که اکثر فرار کردند) با خدا عهد محکم بسته بودند که به جنگ پشت نکنند، و از عهد خدا پرسش خواهد شد.

آنها قبلاً با خدا عهد بسته بودند كه بازنخواهند گشت و فرار نخواهند كرد؛ عهدبستن با خدا مسئوليت بزرگي در بر دارد.

And they were had been (E) they promised God from before (they had before promised God that) they do not turn away (on) the backs/ends, and God’s promise was questioned.

And indeed they had already made a covenant with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must be answered for.

Yet they had made covenant with God before that, that they would not turn their backs; and covenants with God shall be questioned of

although ere that they had vowed before God that they would never turn their backs [on His message]: and a vow made to God must surely be answered for!

Zij hadden vroeger een verbond met God gesloten, dat zij hunne ruggen niet zouden keeren; en de nakoming van hun verbond met God zal hier namaals worden onderzocht.

And indeed they had pledged to God before this that they would not turn around and flee. Making a pledge to God brings great responsibility.

anche se prima avevano stretto con Allah il patto di non voltare le spalle. Saranno interrogati a proposito del patto con Allah!

And indeed they had already made a covenant with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must be answered for.

А ведь прежде они заключили завет с Аллахом о том, что не обратятся вспять. О завете с Аллахом они будут спрошены.

А до того они поклялись Аллаху, что не отступят [на поле брани]. А ведь за клятву, данную Аллаху, призовут к ответу.

And certainly they had made a covenant with Allah before, that) they would not turn (their) backs; and Allah’s covenant shall be inquired of.

And verily they had already sworn unto Allah that they would not turn their backs (to the foe). An oath to Allah must be answered for.

They had covenanted with God before, that they would not turn their backs; and God’s covenant shall be enquired of

Yemin olsun ki, onlar daha önce, geri dönüp kaçmayacaklarına ilişkin Allah’a söz vermişlerdi. Ve Allah’a verilen söz sorumluluk gerektirirdi.

Yet before that, they made a covenant with Allah never to turn their backs. And covenants with Allah shall be questioned.

Although before that they had pledged to Allah that they would not turn their backs (to Faith and against invasion). A pledge to Allah must be answered for.

They had pledged to GOD in the past that they would not turn around and flee; making a pledge with GOD involves a great responsibility.

They had before pledged themselves to God that they would not turn their backs; and a pledge given to God must be enquired of.

They had before made a covenant with God, that they would not turn their backs: And the performance of their covenant with God shall be examined into hereafter.

And truly they had already covenanted with ALLAH that they would not turn their backs. And a covenant with ALLAH will have to be answered for.

Und sie hatten doch in Wahrheit schon mit Allah den Bund geschlossen, daß sie nicht den Rücken (zur Flucht) wenden würden. Und über den Bund mit Allah muß Rechenschaft abgelegt werden.

А ведь до этого с Аллахом ■ Вступили в Договор они ■ О том, чтоб не бежать, спиною обратясь, ■ (Сражаясь на пути Господнем); ■ А Договор с Аллахом – то, ■ За что им надлежит держать ответ.

Тәхкыйк ул монафикълар Хандак сугышыннан элек пәйгамбәр васитасы илә мөшрикләргә каршы сугышырга һәм сугыштан качмаска Аллаһуга ґәһед бирделәр. Бит Аллаһуга биргән ґәһедтән кыямәт көнне, әлбәттә, сорау булыр.

حالانکہ پہلے خدا سے اقرار کر چکے تھے کہ پیٹھ نہیں پھریں گے۔ اور خدا سے (جو) اقرار (کیا جاتا ہے اُس کی) ضرور پرسش ہوگی

اور بیشک انہوں نے اس سے پہلے اللہ سے عہد کر رکھا تھا کہ پیٹھ پھیر کر نہ بھاگیں گے، اور اللہ سے کیے ہوئے عہد کی (ضرور) باز پُرس ہوگی،
