وَ يَقُولُونَ أَ إِنَّا لَتارِكُوا آلِهَتِنا لِشاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ

و يقولون أ إنّا لتاركوا آلهتنا لشاعر مجنون

Wayaqooloona a-inna latarikoo alihatina lishaAAirin majnoonin

و مي گفتند : آيا به خاطر شاعر ديوانه اي خدايانمان را ترک گوييم ؟

و مى گفتند آيا ما رهاكننده خدايانمان به خاطر شاعرى ديوانه باشيم؟

و ميگفتند: آيا براى خاطر شاعرى ديوانه دست از خدايان خود برداريم؟

و [همواره] می گفتند: آیا باید به خاطر شاعری دیوانه معبودان خود را رها کنیم؟!

و مى‏گفتند آيا ما رها كنيم معبودان خود را براى (گفته) شاعرى ديوانه

و مى‏گفتند: «آيا ما براى شاعرى ديوانه دست از خدايانمان برداريم؟!»

و مى‏گفتند: «آيا به خاطر شاعرى ديوانه معبودهايمان را رها كنيم؟»

و مى‏گفتند: آيا ما [پرستش‏] معبودان خويش را ترك كنيم از بهر شاعرى ديوانه؟

و مى‏گفتند آيا ما واگذاريم خدايان خود را بخاطر شاعرى ديوانه

و مى‏گفتند: آيا ما معبودان خويش را به خاطر [سخن‏] شاعرى ديوانه ترك گوييم؟

و پیوسته می‌گفتند: «آیا ما معبودان خود را بخاطر شاعری دیوانه رها کنیم؟!»

و مى‏گفتند: آيا ما از بهر شاعرى ديوانه دست از خدايان خويش بداريم!

و مى‏گفتند آيا ما وا گذاريم خدايان خود را بخاطر شاعرى ديوانه

و مى گفتند آيا ما رها كنيم خدايان خويش را براى شاعرى ديوانه

و می‌گفتند: آیا ما به خاطر شاعر دیوانه‌ای دست از خدایان خود برداریم؟!

آنها گفتند: آيا خدايان خود را به خاطر شاعري ديوانه ترك كنيم؟

And they say: «Are we to leave our gods to a mad/insane poet?»

And (they) said: «Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?

saying, ‹What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?›

and would say, «Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?» [Lit., «for [or «for the sake of»] a mad poet» – thus alluding to the allegation that the Quran is a product of Muhammad’s mind (see note on 36:69). The reference to «deities» comprises, in this context, everything that man may «worship» in both the literal and the metaphorical senses of this word.]

En zeiden: zullen wij onze goden voor een bezeten dichter verlaten?

And they would Say: "Shall we leave our gods because of a crazy poet?"

e dicevano: «Dovremmo abbandonare i nostri dèi per un poeta posseduto?».

And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?

и говорили: «Неужели мы откажемся от наших богов ради одержимого поэта?»

и говорили: «Неужели мы отречемся от своих богов из-за какого-то безумного поэта?»

And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet?

And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet?

and say, ‹What! shall we leave our gods for an infatuated poet?›

Ve şöyle diyorlardı: «Mecnun bir şair yüzünden ilahlarımızı mı terk edeceğiz?»

and said: ‹Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet? ‹

And used to say, «Shall we give up our gods for a mad poet?»

They said, «Shall we leave our gods for the sake of a crazy poet?»

And said, «Shall we then abandon our gods for a crazed poet?»

and say, shall we abandon our gods for a distracted poet?

And said, `Shall we give up our gods for a mad poet ?›

Und sprachen: «Sollen wir unsere Götter aufgeben um eines besessenen Dichters willen?»

И молвили они: ■ «Ужель оставим мы своих богов ■ Ради безумного поэта?»

Вә әйтерләр: «Искедән бирле гыйбадәт итеп килгән Илаһәләребезне, бер җенләнгән шагыйрь сүзенә карап ташлыйкмы?»

اور کہتے تھے کہ بھلا ہم ایک دیوانے شاعر کے کہنے سے کہیں اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑ دینے والے ہیں

اور کہتے تھے: کیا ہم ایک دیوانے شاعر کی خاطر اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑنے والے ہیں،
