وَ أَنْبَتْنا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِنْ يَقْطِينٍ

و أنبتنا عليه شجرة من يقطين

Waanbatna AAalayhi shajaratan min yaqteenin

و بر فراز سرش بوته کدويي رويانيديم

و بر سر او [براى سايه افكنى] گياهى از [قسم] كدو رويانديم.

در آن صحرا براى او درخت بلوط رويانديم.

و بر او گیاهی از نوعی کدو رویاندیم،

و برويانيديم بر بالاى سر او درختى از كدو (كه از حرارت آفتاب مصون بماند)

و بر بالاى [سرِ] او درختى از [نوع‏] كدوبُن رويانيديم.

و بوته كدويى بر فرازش رويانديم

و بر او درختى از كدو رويانديم.

و رويانيديم بر او درختى از كدو

و در كنارش درختى از [نوع‏] كدو رويانيديم

و بوته کدوئی بر او رویاندیم (تا در سایه برگهای پهن و مرطوبش آرامش یابد)!

و بر [سر] او كدوبنى رويانيديم.

و رويانيديم بر او درختى از كدو

و رويانيديم بر او درختى را از كدو

و (در آن صحرا) بر او درختی از کدو رویانیدیم (تا به برگش سایه‌بان و پوشش کند).

ما باعث شديم درختي از ميوه خوراکي براي او برويد.

And We sprouted/grew on him a tree from a plant without a stem/squashes and cucumbers.

And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him.

and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds.

and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. [I.e., to shade and comfort him. Thus, rounding off the allegory of Jonah and the fish, the Quran points out in the figurative manner so characteristic of its style that God, who can cause a plant to grow out of the most arid and barren soil, can equally well cause a heart lost in darkness to come back to light and spiritual life.]

Wij deden een pompoenplant over hem heen groeien.

And We caused seaweed to grow on him.

e facemmo crescere su di lui una pianta di zucca.

And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him.

Мы взрастили над ним (или возле него) тыкву.

Там по Нашей воле выросло над ним тыквенное дерево.

And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant.

And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him;

and we made to grow over him a gourd tree;

Üzerine kabak cinsinden bir ağaç bitirdik.

and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him.

We caused him to rest under a well-grown fruitful tree.

We had a tree of edible fruit grown for him.

And we caused a gourd-plant to grow up over him,

And We caused a plant of a gourd to grow up over him;

And WE caused a gourd plant to grow over him.

Und Wir ließen eine Kürbisstaude über ihm wachsen.

Над ним взрастили Мы йактин.

Вә аның янында киң яфраклы агач үстердек, ул агач аңа кояштан күләгә булды һәм ул агач янына чебен, черки, кигәвен кебиләр килмәделәр, чөнки аның тәне җәрәхәтләнгән иде. Ул шул урында берничә көн торып Аллаһның рәхмәте белән бик тиз сәламәтләнде.

اور ان پر کدو کا درخت اُگایا

اور ہم نے ان پر (کدّو کا) بیل دار درخت اُگا دیا،
