ص و القرآن ذي الذّكر

Sad waalqur-ani thee alththikri

صاد سوگند به قرآن شريف صاحب اندرز

ص [صاد] سوگند به قرآن پندآموز.

ص (اسم سوره مباركه و از حروف مقطعه و رمزى قرآن است.) سوگند به قرآن آگهى بخش و پند آموز.

ص، سوگند به قرآن که مشتمل بر ذکر [حقایق، معارف، مطالب اخلاقی و اجتماعی و احکام حلال و حرام] است.

سوگند به قرآن كه مشتمل بر ذكر (توحيد و معارف حقه) است

صاد. سوگند به قرآن پراندرز!

ص سوگند به قرآن آكنده از اندرز

صاد. سوگند به قرآن كه خداوند پند [و شرف‏] است.

سوگند بقرآن صاحب ذكر

ص. (صاد) سوگند به قرآن پند آموز

ص، سوگند به قرآنی که دارای ذکر است (که این کتاب، معجزه الهی است).

صاد، سوگند به قرآن داراى شرف- يا صاحب ياد و پند- [كه تو بر حقى و پيام تو راست است‏].

سوگند بقرآن صاحب ذكر

سوگند به قرآن دارنده ذكر

ص (رمز خدا و رسول است یا اشاره است به صمد و صانع و صادق از اسماء الهی یا به صفیّ و مصطفی که القاب پیغمبر است) قسم به قرآن صاحب مقام ذکر (و عزّت و شرافت و پند آموز عالمیان).

ص. قسم به قرآن که حامل مقام ذکر !

Sad (These letters (Sad etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings). By the Quran full of reminding.

Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance —

Sad. [See Appendix II.] CONSIDER [For an explanation of this rendering of the adjurative particle Wa, see first half of note on 74:32.] this Quran, endowed with all that one ought to remember! [Or: «endowed with eminence» (Zamakhshari), since the term dhikr (lit., «reminder» or «remembrance») has also the connotation of «that which is remembered», i.e., «renown», «fame» and, tropically, «eminence». As regards the rendering preferred by me, see 21:10, where the phrase fihi dhikrukum (relating, as above, to the Quran) has been translated as «wherein is found all that you ought to bear in mind», i.e., in order to attain to dignity and happiness.]

Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance.

S. SAAD. As-Sadiq – Full of Truth, this Qur’an is a Profound Reminder. Embracing all that is worth taking to your hearts, it can give you eminence.

SAD. By the Koran full of warning!

S. By the Koran full of admonition.

Sل¤¬ WE cite as proof the Qur’an, which is full of exhortation, that it is Our revealed Word.
