إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ اسْتَكْبَرَ وَ كانَ مِنَ الْكافِرِينَ

إلاّ إبليس استكبر و كان من الكافرين

Illa ibleesa istakbara wakana mina alkafireena

مگر ابليس که بزرگي فروخت و از کافران شد

مگر ابليس كه استكبار ورزيد و از كافران شد.

جز ابليس كه تكبر ورزيد و از كافران گشت.

مگر ابلیس که تکبّر ورزید و از کافران شد.

جز شيطان كه بزرگ داشت خود را و بود (پيش از اين) از جمله كافران

مگر ابليس [كه‏] تكبر نمود و از كافران شد.

جز ابليس كه كبر ورزيد و كافر شد.

مگر ابليس كه تكبّر نمود و از كافران بود.

مگر ابليس كه سركشى نمود و بود از كافران

مگر «ابليس» كه سركشى كرد و از كافران شد

جز ابلیس که تکبّر ورزید و از کافران بود!

مگر ابليس كه گردنكشى و بزرگ‏منشى نمود و از كافران شد.

مگر ابليس كه سركشى نمود و بود از كافران

مگر ابليس كه برترى جست و شد از كافران

مگر شیطان که غرور و تکبر ورزید و از زمره کافران گردید.

غير از ابليس؛ او نپذيرفت، و بسيار متکبر و ناسپاس بود.

Except Satan he became arrogant, and was/is from the disbelievers.

Except Iblees (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers.

save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers.

save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. [See note on 2:34 and note on 15:41.]

Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers.

save Iblis, who was too big with pride, and was of the misbelievers.

İblis etmemişti. O, kibre sapmış ve inkârcılardan olmuştu.

except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers.

Except Iblis – he acted arrogantly and denied the Command. (Iblis = Satan = selfish desire of the humans (2:34)).

except Satan; he refused, and was too arrogant, unappreciative.

Save Eblis. He swelled with pride, and became an unbeliever.

except Eblis, who was puffed up with pride, and became an unbeliever.

But Iblis did not. He behaved proudly, and was of those who disbelieved.

سوائے ابلیس کے، اس نے (شانِ نبوّت کے سامنے) تکبّر کیا اور کافروں میں سے ہوگیا،
