أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِما كَسَبُوا وَ يَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ

أو يوبقهنّ بما كسبوا و يعف عن كثير

Aw yoobiqhunna bima kasaboo wayaAAfu AAan katheerin

يا آنها را به خاطر اعمالشان غرقه مي کند و بسياري را نيز مي بخشايد

يا آنان [/اهل كشتى] را به خاطر كار و كردارشان نابود كند، و او از بسيارى [گناهان] درمى گذرد.

يا بكيفر اعمال قبيحشان كشتيها و خود آنان را در دريا غرق كند در حالى كه خدا بسيارى از گناهان را مى‏بخشد.

یا اگر بخواهد کشتی ها را [با سرنشینانش] به سبب گناهانی که مرتکب شده اند، نابود می کند و از بسیاری [از همان گناهان] می گذرد.

يا اگر خواهد نابود كند آنها را به سزاى آن گناهانى كه فراهم كردند و در مى‏گذرد از بسيارى

يا به [سزاى‏] آنچه [كشتى‏نشينان‏] مرتكب شده‏اند هلاكشان كند، و[لى‏] از بسيارى درمى‏گذرد.

يا آنها را به خاطر اعمالشان غرق مى‏كند و نيز بسيارى را مى‏بخشد.

يا آن [كشتى‏ها] را غرق كند بسبب آنچه [اهل‏] آنها كردند. و از بسيارى [گناهان‏] در گذرد.

يا هلاك گرداند آنها را بآنچه كسب كردند و عفو كند از بسيارى

يا [اگر بخواهد] كشتى [نشينان‏] را به [كيفر] دستاوردشان هلاك كند. و از بسيارى [گناهان‏] در مى‏گذرد

یا اگر بخواهد آنها را بخاطر اعمالی که سرنشینانش مرتکب شده‌اند نابود می‌سازد؛ و در عین حال بسیاری را می‌بخشد.

يا آنها را بدانچه آنان- كشتى‏نشينان- كرده‏اند هلاك كند- غرق گرداند- و [اگر خواهد] از بسيارى [گناهان‏] درمى‏گذرد،

يا هلاك گرداند آنها را بانچه كسب كردند و عفو كند از بسيارى

يا نابودشان كند بدانچه فراهم كردند و درگذرد از بسيارى

یا اگر بخواهد خدا کشتیهایشان را به جرم بدکاری به دریا غرق می‌کند و (اگر بخواهد) بسیاری از جرم شما را می‌بخشد.

او مي تواند آنها را در نتيجه اعمال خودشان هلاك كند، ولي درعوض، او بسياري (از گناهانشان) را ناديده مي گيرد.

Or He destroys/perishes them because (of) what they gathered/acquired , and He forgives/pardons on much .

Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much.

Or He wrecks them for what they have earned; and He pardons much;

or else He may cause them to perish because of what they have wrought; and [withal,] He pardons much. [I.e., because of the evil which they have committed. The above passage is, I believe, a parabolic allusion to the three possible alternatives in the life to come: spiritual progress and happiness (symbolized by ships that sail freely through the sea); spiritual stagnancy (ships that lie motionless on the sea’s surface); and spiritual disaster and suffering (summarized in the concept of perdition). The second of these three alternatives seems to point to the condition of those ala l-araf spoken of in 7:46 f. and explained in the corresponding note.]

Of hij vernietigt die door schipbreuk, om hetgeen hunne bemanning heeft verdiend. Doch hij vergeeft vele dingen.

Or He may drown them, for what they have earned. And He overlooks much.

Oppure le annienta per quel che si meritarono ; ma Egli molto perdona.

Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much.

Он может погубить их (корабли) за то, что они (люди) приобрели, но Он прощает многих.

Или [, если захочет,] Он пустит [корабли] ко дну за то, что сделали [нечестивцы]. Но сколь много Он прощает!

Or He may make them founder for what they have earned, and (even then) pardon most;

Or He causeth them to perish on account of that which they have earned – And He forgiveth much –

or He makes them founder for what they have earned; but He pardons much.

Yahut onları, içindekilerin kazançları yüzünden mahveder. Ama birçoğunu affediyor;

Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot.

Or that He may cause them to perish as a consequence of their deeds, but He forgives a great deal. (The human ‹Self› may progress like ships that sail freely through the sea, suffer stagnancy, or perish to a subhuman existence).

He can annihilate them, as a consequence of their own works. Instead, He overlooks many (of their sins).

Or if, for their ill deserts, He cause them to founder, still He forgiveth much:

Or He destroyeth them by shipwreck, because of that which their crews have merited; though He pardoneth many things.

Or HE can destroy those who are in them because of that which they have earned – but HE forgives many of their sins –

Oder Er kann sie untergehen lassen um dessentwillen, was sie (die Menschen) begangen haben – und Er vergibt vieles -,

Иль обречет их на погибель ■ За все то (зло), которое приобрели ■ (Руками грешников неверных). ■ Но как же много Он прощает!

Әгәр Аллаһ теләсә, ул корабларны батырыр иде, кылган бозык эшләре өчен, ләкин аларның күп гөнаһларын гафу итәр, шуның өчен аларны батырмас.

یا ان کے اعمال کے سبب ان کو تباہ کردے۔ اور بہت سے قصور معاف کردے

یا اُن (جہازوں اور کشتیوں) کو اُن کے اعمالِ (بد) کے باعث جو انہوں نے کما رکھے ہیں غرق کر دے، مگر وہ بہت (سی خطاؤں) کو معاف فرما دیتا ہے،
