بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هؤُلاءِ وَ آباءَهُمْ حَتَّى جاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَ رَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ

بل متّعت هؤلاء و آباءهم حتّى جاءهم الحقّ و رسول مبين

Bal mattaAAtu haola-i waabaahum hatta jaahumu alhaqqu warasoolun mubeenun

و من اينان و پدرانشان را از زندگي بهره مند کردم تا آنگاه که حق و پيامبري روشنگر به سويشان آمد

آرى اينان و پدرانشان را بهره مند ساخته ام تا آنكه [دين] حق و پيامبرى آشكار به نزد آنان آمد.

(ما، در عذاب گنهكاران آنها تعجيل نكرديم) بلكه آنان و پدرانشان را (مهلت داديم و از عمر طولانى) برخوردار كرديم تا آنكه قرآن و پيامبر، بيان كننده حق براى هدايت آنان آمد.

[نه اینکه بازنگشتند و من هم از آنان انتقام نگرفتم] بلکه اینان [که در مکه آلوده به بت پرستی هستند] و پدرانشان را [از انواع نعمت ها] برخوردار کردم تا آنکه حق و فرستاده ای روشنگر [چون قرآن و محمّد] به سویشان آمد؛

بلكه برخوردارى دادم اين گروه و پدرانشان را تا آنكه آمد بديشان قرآن و پيمبرى بيان كننده

بلكه اينان و پدرانشان را برخودارى دادم تا حقيقت و فرستاده‏اى آشكار به سويشان آمد.

آرى آنان و نياكانشان را بهره‏مند كرديم تا حق و فرستاده روشنگرى براى‏شان آمد

[نه‏] بلكه اينان و پدرانشان را برخوردارى دادم تا حقّ [دعوت توحيد، يا قرآن‏] و پيامبرى روشنگر بر ايشان بيايد.

بلكه كامروا ساختيم اينها را و پدرانشان را تا آمد ايشانرا حق و رسولى ظاهر

بلكه اينان و پدرانشان را تا هنگامى كه [آيين‏] حق و رسولى آشكار به نزدشان آمد، بهره‏مند ساختيم

ولی من این گروه و پدرانشان را از مواهب دنیا بهره‌مند ساختم تا حق و فرستاده آشکار (الهی) به سراغشان آمد؛

بلكه اينان- كفار مكه- و پدرانشان را برخوردار كردم تا حق- قرآن- و فرستاده‏اى آشكار و روشنگر- محمد (ص)- بديشان آمد.

بلكه كامروا ساختيم اينها را و پدرانشانرا تا آمد ايشان را حق و رسولى ظاهر

بلكه بهره مند ساختم ايشان و پدران ايشان را تا بيامدشان حقّ و فرستاده اى آشكار

(و من تعجیل در عقوبت کافران نکردم) بلکه آنان و پدرانشان را (مهلت داده و از عمر) بهره‌مند کردم تا آنکه دین حق و رسول مبین بر آنها آمد.

درواقع، من به اندازه كافي به اين مردم و نياكانشان فرصت داده ام، سپس حقيقت بر آنها آمد و رسولي روشنگر.

But I gave those a long life/made those enjoy, and their fathers, until the truth and a clear/evident messenger came to them.

Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Quran), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear.

Nay, but I gave these and their fathers enjoyment of days, until the truth came unto them, and a manifest Messenger.

Now [as for those who did come after him,] I allowed them – as [I had allowed] their forebears – to enjoy their lives freely until the truth should come unto them through an apostle who would make all things clear: [I.e., God did not impose on them any moral obligations before making the meaning of right and wrong clear to them through a revealed message. Primarily, this is an allusion to the pagan contemporaries of the Prophet, and to the prosperity which they had been allowed to enjoy for a long time (cf. 21:44); in its wider sense, however, this passage implies that God would never call people to task for any wrong they may have done so long as they have not been clearly shown how to discriminate between good and evil (cf. 6:131-132).] WHY DIVINE REVELATION NOT BESTOWED ON PERSON OF EMINENCE?

Waarlijk, ik heb dezen bewoners van Mekka en hunnen vaderen veroorloofd in voorspoed te leven, tot de waarheid tot hen zou komen en een duidelijke gezant.

Indeed, I have given these people and their fathers to enjoy, until the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.

E anzi, concessi a quelle genti e ai loro avi temporaneo godimento, finché fosse giunta loro la Verità e un Messaggero esplicito.

Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Quran), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear.

Но Я позволил им и их отцам пользоваться благами до тех пор, пока к ним не явились истина и разъясняющий посланник.

И вот Я разрешил им и их отцам пользоваться [земными благами] до тех пор, пока к ним не придет истина, а также посланник, ясно излагающий [истину].

Nay! I gave them and their fathers to enjoy until there came to them the truth and a Messenger making manifest (the truth).

Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain.

Nay; but I let these (Meccans) and their fathers have enjoyment until the truth came to them, and an apostle.

Ben, şunlar ve atalarını, kendilerine hak ve açık kanıtlı resul gelinceye kadar nimetlendirdim.

I gave them and their fathers days of enjoyment until the truth and a clear Messenger came to them.

As it is, I have let these people, and their fathers get along with their lives, until the Truth has come to them and a Messenger making things clear (and afford them a chance to achieve true success).

Indeed, I have given these people and their ancestors sufficient chances, then the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.

In sooth to these idolatrous Arabians and to their fathers did I allow their full enjoyments, till the truth should come to them, and an undoubted apostle:

Verily I have permitted these Meccans and their fathers to live in prosperity, until the truth should come unto them, and a manifest Apostle:

Nay, but I bestowed upon these disbelievers and their fathers worldly provision until there comes to them the truth and a Messenger who makes his Message clear.

Nein, aber Ich ließ sie und ihre Väter in Fülle leben, bis die Wahrheit zu ihnen kam und ein beredter Gesandter.

Я дал и им, и их отцам ■ Благами ближней жизни наслаждаться, ■ Пока им Истина (Господня) не предстала ■ И не пришел посланник несомненный.

Ошбу Мәккә мөшрикләренә гомер вә нигъмәтләр биреп исламны өйрәтүче пәйгамбәр килгәнче һәм Коръән иңә башлаганчы яшәттек.

بات یہ ہے کہ میں ان کفار کو اور ان کے باپ دادا کو متمتع کرتا رہا یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس حق اور صاف صاف بیان کرنے والا پیغمبر آ پہنچا

بلکہ میں نے انہیں اور اِن کے آباء و اجداد کو (اسی ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے تصدّق اور واسطہ سے اِس دنیا میں) فائدہ پہنچایا ہے یہاں تک کہ اِن کے پاس حق (یعنی قرآن) اور واضح و روشن بیان والا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تشریف لے آیا،
