كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَ عُيُونٍ

كم تركوا من جنّات و عيون

Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin

بعد از خود چه باغها و چشمه سارها بر جاي گذاشتند ،

چه بسيار باغها و چشمه ساران از خود باقى گذاردند.

فرعونيان چه بسيار باغات و چشمه‏ها را رها كردند و رفتند.

چه بسیار بوستان ها و چشمه سارانی که آنان [پس از خود] بر جای گذاشتند،

چه بسيار واگذاشتند قبطيان از بوستانها و چشمه سارها

[وه،] چه باغها و چشمه‏سارانى [كه آنها بعد از خود] بر جاى نهادند،

چه بسيار باغها و چشمه‏ها

چه بسيار باغها و چشمه‏سارها كه بر جا گذاشتند،

بسا كه واگذاشتند از باغها و چشمه‏ها

چه بسا باغها و چشمه‏ساران را رها كردند

(سرانجام همگی نابود شدند و) چه بسیار باغها و چشمه‌ها که از خود به جای گذاشتند،

چه بسيار باغها و چشمه‏ها كه بگذاشتند،

بسا كه وا گذاشتند از باغها و چشمه‏ها

بسا بازگذاردند از باغها و چشمه سارهائى

چه بسیار باغ و بستانها و چشمه‌های آب،

اين چنين، آنها باغ ها و چشمه هاي بسياري را پشت سر گذاشتند.

How many/much they left (behind) from treed gardens and water springs/wells?

How many of gardens and springs do they (Firauns (Pharaoh) people) left.

They left how many gardens and fountains,

[And so they perished: and] how many gardens did they leave behind, and water-runnels,
