وَ الْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ

و البيت المعمور

Waalbayti almaAAmoori

و قسم به بيت المعمور ،

و به بيت المعمور.

سوگند بخانه معمور (مكه).

و به آن خانه آباد،

سوگند به خانه آبادان (بيت معمور در آسمان چهارم است مقابل كعبه)

سوگند به آن خانه آباد [خدا]؛

سوگند به بيت المعمور

سوگند به «بيت المعمور» [در آسمان هفتم و يا چهارم‏]،

و قسم بخانه آباد

و به «بيت المعمور»

و سوگند به «بیت المعمور»،

و سوگند به آن خانه آباد- كعبه كه به زيارت حاجيان آباد است-

و قسم بخانه آباد

و خانه آبادان

قسم به بیت المعمور (کعبه اهل زمین یا مسجد ملایک آسمان).

قسم به بيت المعمور .

By/and to the House/Home, the frequently visited/inhabited/populated.

And by the Bait-ul-Mamoor (the house over the heavens parable to the Kabah at Makkah, continuously visited by the angels);

by the House inhabited

Consider the long-enduring house [of worship]! [This is a metonym for the fact that ever since the dawn of human consciousness men have persistently – although often but dimly – realized the existence of God and have tried, spurred on by the continuous, direct revelation granted to His prophets, to come closer to Him through worship. Hence, Baydawi regards the expression al-bayt al-mamur as a metaphor for the heart of the believer.]

And the erected sanctuary.
