وَ تَضْحَكُونَ وَ لا تَبْكُونَ

و تضحكون و لا تبكون

Watadhakoona wala tabkoona

و مي خنديد و نمي گرييد ؟

و مى خنديد و نمى گرييد؟

مى‏خنديد و گريه نميكنيد؟.

و [با چنین وضعی که دارید هنوز] می خندید و نمی گریید؟!

و مى‏خنديد و (از بيم تهديدى كه در آنست) گريه نمى‏كنيد

و مى‏خنديد و نمى‏گرييد؟

و مى‏خنديد و نمى‏گرييد؟

و خنده مى‏كنيد و نمى‏گرييد؟

و مى‏خنديد و نمى‏گرييد

و مى‏خنديد و گريه نمى‏كنيد؟

و می‌خندید و نمی‌گریید،

و مى‏خنديد و نمى‏گرييد؟

و مى‏خنديد و نمى‏گرييد

و خنديد و نگرييد

و (به فسوس و مسخره بر آن) می‌خندید و (به روزگار سخت خود) نمی‌گریید،

آيا به جاي آنكه گريه كنيد، مي خنديد؟

And you laugh/wonder, and you do not weep ?

And you laugh at it and weep not,

and do you laugh, and do you not weep,

And do you laugh instead of weeping,

En lacht gij, in plaats van te weenen?

And you are laughing, instead of crying?

Ne riderete invece che piangerne o

And you laugh at it and weep not,

смеетесь, а не плачете,

смеетесь, а не рыдаете

And will you laugh and not weep?

And laugh and not weep,

and do ye laugh and not weep?

Gülüyorsunuz, ağlamıyorsunuz.

Or do you laugh, and do you not weep

Are you laughing, instead of crying?

And that ye laugh and weep not?

Und lacht ihr und weint nicht?

И слез не льете, а смеетесь,

Вә көләсез, никтер еламыйсыз?

اور ہنستے ہو اور روتے نہیں؟

اور تم ہنستے ہو اور روتے نہیں ہو،
