فَقالُوا أَ بَشَراً مِنَّا واحِداً نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذاً لَفِي ضَلالٍ وَ سُعُرٍ

فقالوا أ بشرا منّا واحدا نتّبعه إنّا إذا لفي ضلال و سعر

Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidan nattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalin wasuAAurin

گفتند : اگر از انساني همانند خود پيروي کنيم گمراه و ديوانه باشيم ،

و گفتند آيا از ميان خود، از انسانى تك و تنها پيروى كنيم، ما در آن صورت دچار گمراهى و سردرگمى خواهيم بود.

و گفتند: آيا سزاوار است كه ما از بشرى همانند خودمان پيروى كنيم؟ آن گاه در گمراهى و عذاب خواهيم بود.

پس گفتند: آیا ما بشری از جنس خود را که [تک و] تنهاست [و جمعیت و نیرویی با خود ندارد] پیروی کنیم؟! در این صورت در گمراهی و دیوانگی خواهیم بود.

و گفتند آيا آدمى را كه از جنس ماست در حاليكه منفرد است پيرويش كنيم البته ما در آن هنگام در گمراهى و عذابى باشيم

و گفتند: «آيا تنها بشرى از خودمان را پيروى كنيم؟ در اين صورت، ما واقعاً در گمراهى و جنون خواهيم بود.»

و گفتند: «آيا از بشرى پيروى كنيم كه از جنس خودمان است؟ اگر چنين كنيم گمراهيم و ديوانه.

و گفتند آيا از بشرى مانند خودمان پيروى كنيم؟ [اگر كنيم‏] آن گاه ما در گمراهى و آتش افروخته باشيم.

پس گفتند آيا انسانى را كه از ماست يكتن پيرويش كنيم بدرستيكه ما آنگاه هر آينه در گمراهى و آتشيم

آن گاه گفتند: آيا از تنها بشرى از خود پيروى كنيم؟ ما آن گاه در گمراهى و ديوانگى خواهيم بود

و گفتند: «آیا ما از بشری از جنس خود پیروی کنیم؟! اگر چنین کنیم در گمراهی و جنون خواهیم بود!

و گفتند: آيا يك نفر آدمى از ميان خود- صالح- را پيروى كنيم؟! ما آنگاه در گمراهى و ديوانگى باشيم.

پس گفتند آيا انسانى را كه از ماست يكتن پيرويش كنيم بدرستى كه ما آنگاه هر آينه در گمراهى و آتشيم

پس گفتند آيا بشرى را از خويش كه يكتن است پيروى كنيمش همانا مائيم آن هنگام در گمراهى و آتشهايى

و گفتند: آیا سزد که ما یک بشری از جنس خودمان را پیروی کنیم؟در این صورت به گمراهی و جنون سخت در افتاده‌ایم.

آنها گفتند: آيا يکي از خودمان را پيروي كنيم؛ يك بشر را؟ در اين صورت ما گمراه خواهيم شد و سرانجام به دوزخ خواهيم رفت.

So they said: «Is a human from (among) us, one, we follow him? We are then in misguidance and madness.»

For they said: «A man! Alone from among us, that we are to follow? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!»

and said, ‹What, shall we follow a mortal, one out of ourselves? Then indeed we should be in error and insanity!

and they said: «Are we to follow one single mortal, one from among ourselves? [For the general implication of this rhetorical question, see note on 50:2. For the story of the tribe of Thamud, their prophet Salih, and the incident of the she-camel, see 7:73-79, 11:61-68, 26:141-158, and the corresponding notes.] In that case, behold, we would certainly sink into error and folly!

En zij zeiden: Zullen wij een enkel man als wij, onder ons volgen? Waarlijk, wij zouden aan dwaling en ongerijmde dwaasheid schuldig zijn.

They said: "Shall we follow one of us; a human being? We will then go astray, and be in Hell."

dissero: «Dovremmo seguire un solo mortale fra di noi? Davvero in tal caso saremmo traviati e folli!

For they said: "A man! Alone from among us, that we are to follow? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!"

Они сказали: «Неужели мы последуем за одним из нас? В этом случае мы окажемся в заблуждении и будем страдать (или отдалимся от истины).

и вопрошали: «Неужели мы последуем за каким-то человеком из нас самих? Тогда мы окажемся в заблуждении и будем безумцами.

So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress:

For they said; Is it a mortal man, alone among us, that we are to follow? Then indeed we should fall into error and madness.

and said, ‹A mortal, one of us, alone, shall we follow him? then indeed were we in error and excitement!

Şöyle demişlerdi: «İçimizden bir tek insana mı uyacağız? Vallahi böyle bir durumda biz, sapıklık ve çılgınlık içine düşeriz.»

They said: ‹Are we to follow a mortal who is one of us? Then indeed, we would surely be in error and insane.

And they said, «What! A human being! Shall we follow a man among us while he has no party with him? Behold, we then, shall fall into error and loss.

They said, «Shall we follow one of us; a human being? We will then go astray, then end up in Hell.

And they said, «Shall we follow a single man from among ourselves? Then verily should we be in error and in folly.

and said, shall we follow a single man among us? Verily we should then be guilty of error, and preposterous madness:

And they said, `What ! shall we follow a mortal, one out of ourselves ? Then, indeed, we would be in manifest error, and suffering from madness.

Und sie sprachen: «Wie! ein Mensch aus unserer Mitte, ein Einzelner, dem sollen wir folgen? Dann wären wir wahrlich im Irrtum und in brennender Pein.

Сказав: «Ужель пойдем мы за одним из нас, ■ Обычным (смертным) человеком? ■ Ведь, право, в случае таком ■ Мы в заблуждение впадем, и ум наш помутнеет.

Һәм әйттеләр: «Әйә, үз арабыздан булган кешегә иярәбезме? Әгәр ул кешегә иярсәк ул вакытта без адашкан һәм гакылсыз булырбыз.

اور کہا کہ بھلا ایک آدمی جو ہم ہی میں سے ہے ہم اس کی پیروی کریں؟ یوں ہو تو ہم گمراہی اور دیوانگی میں پڑ گئے

پس وہ کہنے لگے: کیا ایک بشر جو ہم ہی میں سے ہے، ہم اس کی پیروی کریں، تب تو ہم یقیناً گمراہی اور دیوانگی میں ہوں گے،
