وَ أَصْحابُ الشِّمالِ ما أَصْحابُ الشِّمالِ

و أصحاب الشّمال ما أصحاب الشّمال

Waas–habu alshshimali ma as–habu alshshimali

اما اصحاب شقاوت ، اصحاب شقاوت چه حال دارند ؟

و اصحاب شمال، چه حال دارند اصحاب شمال.

و اما گروه دست چپيها و ما دون دست چپيها.

و شقاوتمندان، چه دون پایه اند شقاوتمندان!

و اصحاب دست چپ چه (زبون و بى‏مقدارند) اصحاب دست چپ

و ياران چپ؛ كدامند ياران چپ؟

و گروه دست چپ (اهل شقاوت) چه گروه بد يمنى.

و ياران دست چپ، و چه كسانى باشند ياران دست چپ؟

و ياران جانب چپ چه ياران جانب چپ

و نگونبختان، چه [وضع و] حالى دارند نگونبختان؟

و اصحاب شمال، چه اصحاب شمالی (که نامه اعمالشان به نشانه جرمشان به دست چپ آنها داده می‌شود)!

و ياران دست چپ- شومان و بدبختان-، دست چپيان چه باشند؟

و ياران جانب چپ چه ياران جانب چپ

و ياران چپ چه ياران چپ

و اما اصحاب شومی و شقاوت (که نامه عملشان به دست چپ است) چقدر روزگارشان سخت است!

كساني كه در سمت چپ هستند، در سمت چپ خواهند بود.

And the left (hand’s) owners/friends/company, (are) the left (hand’s) owners/friends/company ! .

And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand?

The Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!)

BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil – what of those who have persevered in evil? [I.e., until their death. Literally, the phrase reads, «those on the left hand» (see note on verse 9 above).]

And those on the left, who will be from those on the left?

And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand?

А те, которые на левой стороне: Кто же те, которые на левой стороне?

Те, что стоят на левой стороне, – кто же они, стоящие на левой стороне? –

And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand!

And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand?

And the fellows of the left – what unlucky fellows!

As for the Companions of the Left

Then, the unblessed ones. Ah, how unfortunate are the unblessed ones! (56:9).

Those of the left, will be on the left.

But the people of the left hand – oh! how wretched shall be the people of the left hand!

And the companions of the left hand — how miserable shall the companions of the left hand be! —

And those on the left hand – how unlucky are those on the left hand ! –
